For so long Skateboarding has been a part of SF culture, Glad to see the city finally embrace it instead of resist us like they did in the past. Just wish they did it 30 years ago😢💯🙌
Wow, this is awesome urban planning too (always a no brainer to skaters). As Frank said, it's a really creative way to build useable space out of space that had become unusable.
I feel so lucky to live in a time period where skateboarding is getting so popular that the city of San Francisco can give back to the skate community.
97 & 98 i got to skate SF a little bit! Would love to skate this! Especially considering I got arrested in Union Square Park for skating. Had a Mike Carroll, Thunders Spitfire and Swiss. Cop fkn stole it I never got it back. Officers Cunningham and Danker
Damn, makes me wish I could still skate. They ought to unknob the library ledges too, since they did all this. And take that damn planter off the fountain gap landing! Lol
Glad they are giving some love to the people that have taken the time to learn these skills and are busting their asses to make us new stuff to skate!
Love? They didn't even build a safespace for trans skaters. The UN must be disgusted.
It's nice how a bunch of eugenic psychos want to build us a skatepark.
As a civil engineer and lifelong skater, so sick I love the process behind this stuff
Working as a draftsman at an architectural firm rn, dream is to be able to design skateparks and plazas like this

Thanks for building it, the circle rail has always been my dream spot
props on that clip dude
@@Inexpressable thanks it was the day they filmed some of these tricks you can see me and the braille guys in the background lol
This is how you build parks. Don't make SLS courses. Make something where everybody can have some fun.
Why not both???

Have noticed this new spot as I've been working from the library occasionally. Love to see the city embracing this beautiful part of its culture.
Had the chance to go here last week and it’s awesome. Can’t wait to go back!
That park looks dope. Very happy to hear SF is working with y'all to get it built and built right.

It's beautiful. Let's get one in Vancouver next.
Plaza 2 👏🏼
I'm beyond happy to see community collab with creative city design
A win for skaters, SF, and the UN plaza. Very thoughtfully imagined and skillfully executed. Hats off to the whole crew for the bang up job.
Love watching Austin Kanfoush skate and now build a bunch of spots. Did formwork for the last year so this was cool to see how they did it all

This is amazing, the creative spirit that comes with skateboarding 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Just skated this spot the other day on a road trip! So fun! It’s so sick to have it feel like it’s just a good spot in the streets!
I feel so lucky to live in a time period where skateboarding is getting so popular that the city of San Francisco can give back to the skate community.
That’s a nice looking park. We need something like this in the Hollywood CA.

This is so sick. SF represent.
Big ass marble block sounds wild for building a skate park with, but seems so fitting with its situation here
Thats the square of the future! But I think that could include some trees at the project.
Very cool video.
What concrete mix we talking that grinds and never chips? Straight portland?
Seems like they could have just used the bricks that they tore out for fill instead of foam?
Thank you for this
EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS IS RAD🫡
i went here w a couple of homies, in love with how they made it
this video brought me life
Awesome editing

Damn, makes me wish I could still skate. They ought to unknob the library ledges too, since they did all this. And take that damn planter off the fountain gap landing! Lol

Hi Austin!!!✌🏻
its is beautiful
Petition to have all UN properties within the United States turned into skateparks.
Yeah Nile!
Alright, Lets go! Last one there is a crusty sock
That is how a skatepark should be made!
