- I started this channel in 2011 and have been following the LEGO Community for 10 years, during that time as well I began following the Beauty Community and you’d be surprised at how similar they are.
The LEGO Community is often thought of as another over the top brightly coloured kids channel but there is so much more to it. Both products share the same core values and structure and the drama with the creators can't be ignored either.
Both communities have talented and creative creators and are so much fun to watch, because they are sharing their hobby and passion with others.

I would say that the LEGO community has more normal people. It’s a far cry from complaining about what somebody is wearing versus somebody being a pervert. I’ll take the LEGO drama everyday. None of those you mentioned in the LEGO community are anywhere near the creeps as those in the “beauty” community
I agreed with you on that. Some of things people in the beauty community do or say is insane, I don’t know what they can keep getting away with saying all these serious accusations. The LEGO community has their heads screwed on straight and won’t lie just to cause drama and make themselves more popular. Thanks so much for your amazing content by the way!

The difference is that Ryan's drama didn't make that many people hate him (Still some but not as much as James Charles)

This was very well put together, you've definitely given both communities something to think about. I do hope as time goes on internet drama dies out but that's probably being too optimistic.
How interesting. I just started following the lego community this year and I had no idea they had drama. I've looking for a channel like yours. It's fun to find a girl and really, any new lego content creators period. Subscribed.

I just came across your channel and, just like everyone else, am so excited to see a woman in Lego! I've followed mandr for awhile now, and only got into Lego Star Wars in the last two years (lifelong Star Wars fan first), but I've also been heavily immersed in the beauty community for 10+ years. You are spot on with your comparisons - it's the drama for me 😂 Anyways, love what i've seen so far, and can't wait to binge your videos!

The issue I have with Brick Queen amd the Leia Slave outfit is she not able to pull it off, I don't want to be mean, but its not attractive on her, my eyes are permanently scared and the image is seared in my brain, I can never unsee it

Gotta say, this is a pretty good analysis! I’d say the whole community and business marketing aspect you’ve pointed out kinda applies to other products, like Marvel Legends, Transformers, Funko Pop!, Gaming, Film, cosplay, theme parks, etc. Maybe not as much drama, but there’s a lot of community building from reviews and collecting of products. I think companies have realized that a UA-cam and other social media sites have grown into a bigger platform to allow people to connect and to facilitate this community, they reward UA-camrs by giving them free product to review to a wide audience. It’s a lot cheaper and more efficient than having to produce commercials and ads most ppl would skip.
I don't have anything with makeup, but I found this video interesting.

The ads for the American election on an amazing Aussie YT channel is killing me
I really liked the vast amount of comparisons. I feel like the LAN is sorta the equivalent of a sponsorship with beauty care products (e.g. Sugar Bear Hair). I feel like it creates a sort of superiority complex over other creators, and can cause someone in the community to lose their relatability. Watching someone complain about a crushed box they recieved from the LAN isn’t exactly as sincere as someone who spent their hard earned money. I really enjoyed this and I subscribed! Can’t wait to see what you do next!

I only want to say that you can take any community and you find out it's really similar to the Lego community. For example gamers community there are a lot of games every year and you watch youtubers to find out which game is best for you, there is also a lot of drama in the community and Minecraft or other games where you can create your own map are made to make people creative.

i actually compared lego with sneakers, once they retire they both go for crazy prices (some models) and people hoard them to resell. i personally compare the cafe corner to the 1985 jordan 1 chicago, both the most desirable models of both worlds.

I see the similarities but in the beauty community their is more ego, it's all about showing off how good the creators look, and making money off of that, kinda like Tai Lopez, they look good so they use that to leverage their knowledge of how to look good, like how Tai Lopez has wealth so it seems like he could tell people how to get money. Look at Jangbricks though, he is all about the products, and sometimes his city, but he has stated many times that he DOES NOT want to make his channel about him. Just2good doesn't even show his face, forcing his audience to not focus on him. The big difference I think is that the beauty community is all about the creators, their face, their personality, while the LEGO community is all about the LEGO sets, and the creativity. Sometimes the LEGO community gets into drama, but not nearly as often, and it's never been as serious as the drama the beauty community gets into.
