    After watching these guides I've grown stronger and more confident. My boss gave me a raise, the wife can barely walk, and I've got a certain swagger in my step. Thanks Decker!

    Big thanks for all these videos man. Took me from barely completing the base game to clearing my way through madness slowly but surely.

      @@deckertech-aaron would u be able to do a malukah guide soon?

      Just finished a run that will allow me to make some guides. Malukah is slated for the next run, so end of this week or early next is my guess.

    I absolutely love all your guides!
    Came into this game with some friends having no idea wtf I was doing. I love rogue-like deck-builder games but was thoroughly confused throughout my early playthroughs. your guides are amazing not only in showing me the obvious picks and builds, but also helped me get a grasp on how to get ahead in the game in general how to get into the flow of playstyle for the game.
    Great work 😁

    Great work on the videos.
    For a beginner guide might be worth pointing out differences between skull colors in combat. The group I play with didn’t catch on that green highlight was end of round and red highlight was beginning of round for when the enemy departed.

    Amazing series of videos. As a new player of this game, it very helpful for this kind of content.
    I've also seen some of the more advanced vidoes and there amazing in depth coverage.
    Many thanks.
    Would you care to comment, how many perks with the starting four is it possible to complete all four maps?

    • @deckertech-aaron
      @deckertech-aaron  2 роки тому +1

      I used 14 perks for my "how to win with starting team" video because I found that to be a great spike in power level; mainly because you can get the +1 vulnerable stack on Magnus. That said, it's possible to beat it without any town upgrades or perks. I think after a handful of runs and about a dozen perks you should start feeling comfortable enough to beat all 4 acts, but everyone is different.

    Hi deckertech.
    Im glad i found your channel/guides. They are very helpful. I have 2 questions:
    1.) you mostly show builds with max 15 cards. Ive heard that they are only good in low madness. Is this true? If yes, do you plan to do high madness builds?
    2.) can you say when you upload a adrin DD video? I dont want to sound rude im simply not good (and dont enjoy) the building stuff so much, thats why im hoping for one. Maybe you could share some tips for a andrin build.
    Anyways thanks for your videos.

    • @deckertech-aaron
      @deckertech-aaron  2 роки тому +1

      I am one of the top scorers, meaning I play at the highest Madness level. These decklists are what I use at those difficulties. 15 cards is a must the higher you go, you're hurting yourself if you don't keep your decks small.
      I would be VERY interested in more details of what/where you heard they weren't good at high madness.
      As for Andrin, I will be posting at least one guide fir him in the near future (a week or two). As a starter character he will be one of the first ones to get a 2nd guide.

      @@deckertech-aaron about the 15-cards-deck not being viable: ive read a post on reddit, cant find the post right now. Some comments said that when you play at madness 3 or higher you get a lot of penalties/getting punished for using a thin deck.

    • @deckertech-aaron
      @deckertech-aaron  2 роки тому

      Okay, that makes a lot of sense. They are referring to the 'exhaust' mechanic that prevents you from replaying cards too many times by adding +1 energy cost to cards you draw everytime you shuffle THAT turn. It's not an issue if you manage your draws and shuffles correctly. You can even plan to play the same card twice in a turn by playing it, shuffling your deck to draw it, and playing it again for +1 energy.
      When running a 15 card deck you are aiming to have a "Final 5". Which is basically a final set of cards that you plan on drawing every turn after you have vanished the rest of your cards from your deck. You'll plan around any inspire, so that final 5 can be a final 7 or such. As long as you aren't shuffling outside of your draw step, then there are no penalties for running a deck in this manner.
      I hope to eventually make a video on this topic, I just am trying to find the best way to present it. Thank you so much for the input, it helps me out a lot in getting this video ready!

    The events for example the stupid sad face card one. Is there a way not to do it? It say in the description if you choose to do it your get better rewards or something but I can’t seem to see how to opt out, never mind I see it now. I’m so dumb haha great vids btw 👍

      It's definitely near the top of the list. I think I only have like 18 more character guides to make at this point, haha (2 guides for most characters).

  • @AincradGaming
    @AincradGaming Рік тому +1

    so the idea is to JUST have 15 cards per deck, and use the main 5 cards every turn after all vanish cards? Wont you have excess Energy every turn and not be utilizing all your points? for maximum proficiency?

    • @deckertech-aaron
      @deckertech-aaron  Рік тому +2

      You only gain 3 energy per turn, so as long as you plan around that it works out great. Some of those final 5 will also be feeding cards or energy to other characters, adjusting that 3energy/5cards per turn.

    Do upgraded cards stay permanent, or a new run will reset them to 0 and you need to spend more shards again?

    • @deckertech-aaron
      @deckertech-aaron  2 роки тому +2

      They reset between runs, shards will reset as well. In the early difficulties you will earn treasure chests that will fund your new upgrades.

    I have several questions. I don't understand cards like "Trace". It says "Look at 4 cards, and discard any of them." Why would I want to discard a card? What happens to the cards that are not discarded? Do they go into that hero's hand? Is there a maximum hand size? Do your discards go back into your deck after your deck runs out of cards? Please help. Thank you and take care!

    • @deckertech-aaron
      @deckertech-aaron  Рік тому

      All great questions.
      You would want to discard a card if it's an injury from an event or monster, or simply if it's not you card you want on your next turn.
      The cards you didn't discard stay on top of your deck in the order they showed.
      Discarded cards go to the discard pile, and the discard is shuffled to make a new deck when you try to draw a card and have an empty deck.

    Any particular reason you didn't immediately use the Adrenaline at 19:35? Were you just not paying attention for the sake of demonstration?
    I always just play them since energy is retained anyway.

    • @deckertech-aaron
      @deckertech-aaron  2 роки тому

      Haha, yeah. That's simply me talking and playing at the same time; absolutely no reason to not play Adrenalines.
      Only time I wouldn't is it I was already capped on energy, or to save the half a second of card animation because I know the character wont be getting another turn. ;)
