You are brilliant! eBay should make you an official paid employee for your UA-cam channel. 🙌🏻 I had no idea any of these things existed! Game changer!! THANK YOU!!
Whoo hoo!!
Nice tips, Sir Dom! I've been in I.T. for over 25 years, but it's nice to see someone sharing this for everyone! Well done! -Kevin
P.S selecting search in description is really good for key ternms and phrases you're looking for.
Like a certain size part, say like 110mm for a bike axle or anything. Lot of sellers are sloppy in their main title that comes up first.
It saves looking for it individually in many listings
Let ebay pick put out the specific listing where it is mentioned. The header doesn't have much info in it afterall.
Very true!
Thank you Dom! First time I hear from any of these Ebay search strategies. I will start using these search methods.
Great!
Amazing tips Dom I think I've heard before but never put into practice to use! You explained it very well i need to start utilizing these methods!
Thanks Kat! Hope it helps!
Wow! That’s awesome. All theses years on eBay and I never knew about the minus sign! Thank you so much.
Thanks so much. This is a lot like programming in Basic back in the day.
True. Thanks!
Hey Dom- I had to pause the video and write you after watching just up to technique number 3 (I will watch the entire video). I’ve been on eBay for years and have struggled with this lack of efficient searching. I did not know there were so many techniques! This is one of your top ten videos. Thaaannnnk you!
Wow, I am honored! That means a lot. Thank you!
Thanks! You don't have to put -plate in parenthesis. I have 20 - terms in a row and it just removes all of them.
Also you can put a minus in front of a phrase using inverted commas -"medieval grave robber anthology" 😆 and it will take out the whole search phrase. This is all the same on search engines too btw.
OK. It's been awhile since I made this video
Thanks, I always have trouble eliminating items!
Glad it helps!
Thank you for this! Any others like this would be appreciated!! 👍🏼
Thanks!
Wow! Great stuff! I’ve learned so much! Thank YOU!
Great to hear! Thank you.
Hi Dominic! Thank you for all of your amazing information! Appreciate you!❤
Thanks!
This was extremely helpful. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks!
I have to.go back over this at my pc while you are on my kindle. Some of the stuff I know, but the (x) (x1) is new.
Thank you! Great help!
Great. Thanks!
Thanks for always looking out for us.
WOW DOMINIC!! **THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!!** After Ebay eliminated the 'wildcard' functionality ( which I used ALLLL the time to find misspelled terms back in the day)-- I pretty much figured I only had the MINUS function to get better specifics!-- Your 'parentheses' tip IS AN UTTER GAME-CHANGING BRILLIANCE!!🙏😘😘😘👏👏👍👍👍 Good GLORY!- THANK YOU!!
Wow Dom!!! Great tips!! I had no idea this was possible?!? Game changer.
Oh wow, this should be “required reselling 101” 🤯🤯🤯🤯
thank you Dominic!!
Thanks Esme! Nice of you to say!
Great tips Dom!! These techniques are invaluable, but kinda like sitting in a classroom, lol.
THANK YOU! It frustrates me no end trying to do a quick comp and get a bunch of unrelated stuff.
Thanks I did not know all those tips it will definitely help me in narrowing my search process.
Never heard of these. Thanks for the great tips🤙
Thanks!
Awesome information like always.Thank you!!!
That was excellent! I appreciate that. It works nearly the same as a google advanced search, who knew?
Thanks for watching!
Thank you, very interesting information about the minus sign quotation marks
Glad it helps!
Didn't know about the "or" search format. Thanks!
Glad to help
Excellent video. Many thanks for all the useful information!
I heard about this before but never seen it broken down like this so it was very helpful thanks 😊!
Thanks Mia!

Wow that was super helpful! Thanks
Hi Dom, thank you for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
I didn't know you made this video. Looking into how to improve researching and your video popped up. Thank you for sharing your time and passion.
I still appreciate that Google lens search from the other video. Thanks again!
Thanks!
Could you provide the title of the video describing the use of Google Lens please?
Gteat info! I will definitely try these tips.
Great!
Just started my Ebay store last week, put up 10 items and already sold/shipped 6 of them. Feeling good about that. Thank you for all the great advice/content!
Wow I had no idea of any of these things, it brought me back to my school days when I had to remember all those formulas in math class... lol :) by the way you are almost at 17K ... woot woot. !! Thank you for this great video.
Thanks so much! 20K here I come. Lol
Great video and tips Dom, I had no idea that eBay had Boolean searches available and just never even thought to research it. This one rates right up there with your Google lens search tip thanks much!
Could you provide the title of the video describing the use of Google Lens please?
Very helpful!! Tyty
Thanks!
Valuable help Dom thanks😎🐕 I just used the minus sign to narrow a comp search!!
Yay!
Great info!
Thanks!
Very helpful thanks
I forgot about some of these basic search rules. Thanks for the reminder. Nice video!
Wow! Thanks
Sure thing
Keep up the good work Primetime. 😎⭐👍
Nice job PTTH. no need for the brackets on the last part with -(plate) 🙂 but nice video !
Thanks. Some things may have changed since I made the video
Great tips! I needed this. BTW, any suggestions on how to find hidden SOLD listings that some sellers like to hide or maybe even delete?
Thanks. I don’t know that you can find it if it’s been hidden
@@John-ik2eg Wow. Great info! Thanks so much!
Great info, great examples, great explanations, great presentation and no wordiness! Thank you for providing consistently high-quality information! 2AussieThrifers just did a video on a fellow reseller who ebay suspended indefinitely for what he THINKS may have been a buyer's question about the authenticity of an item. A viewer speculated that ebay's action may relate to the liability bill in California, AB-3262. I don't want to pull the fire alarm yet, but I hope you'll keep your eye out for potential effects relating to this bill, roll them around in that analytical brain of yours, and share your thoughts with us.
Sure will. Other UA-camrs have covered it but if I have anything new to add, I’ll make a video. Thanks!
Thank you Dominic for another brilliant video...I was following nicely until the last example, why did you put plate in parenthesis instead of just -plate?
Great tips! Thanks!! Added to a playlist :)
Thanks!
Thanks!!!!!!
The ONE big tip to find things faster, for me, is how to exclude "Parts Only" from a search. So, how does one exclude "Parts Only" from a search?
Thanks for good information as always Dom. I need a good person to help me with two jackets that I have literally wasted 4-6 hours of trying to find. I rarely do clothes but could not pass these up and almost wish I did now. I know on backend I will make a solid profit. Thanks for everything.
GREAT video. Was hoping you could clarify one step, please? I am a steelbook collector and always on the hunt for the deal or mislabeled auction. How would I properly search for the following? Reservoir Dogs Gas Can? I tried what I thought was right but its leaving to many out. (reservoir dogs, tin, steelbook, can) is what I used. I used this because some people call this a tin or steelbook as well. Thank you for your time!
Or don't...
Excellent info .... Thanks!!! Ann of annsouthernfinds
Thank you!
I tried using the minus sign in front of what I didn't want, and all I got was what I didn't want.
Evilbay doesnt let me see local listings only anymore, they mixed everything up.
Remember when you could use the asterisk to make searching easier? I never understood whey they stopped that from working.
Yep. The wildcard. I mention it at the end. No longer works.
@@PrimeTimeTreasureHunter Sorry I work and listen at the same time so I get distracted. I was actually half way through the re-watch when you commented back.
I'm enjoying your videos and appreciate the work you put in to help others! Have a question about this video. At 6:52 the search for dr who got 204,430 results. At 8:32 when searching (doctor who, dr who) we should have gotten MORE results since we were attempting to be MORE inclusive: doctor who OR dr who. But the result was less at 190,311. Why? Not sure this is working as intended?
It is. It just eliminated listings that had overlap of the term dr and doctor in the same title.
You should have gotten AT LEAST the 204,430 from original search.
David Miller I see what you mean. Not sure what happened there
Hi: Just had a offer from a buyer on eBay that was AUTOMATICALLY accepted. I did not accept. Anybody have this happen to them??
Thanks
sorry about what is currently happening with dr who
It’s a disaster!
So... just read the advanced search page on Ebay. I learned nothing new 😐
eBays search engine actually hurts the store owners. Should not be complicated at all, should not need an instruction video. They have not innovated their site properly for years.
It's been 84 years... I search for panini, zero results, searched for topps and got almost millions of results, worst search engine I know
