Amazon has been known to mix third party inventory in with their own at their warehouses for more convenient storage/shipping. Realized a year later that Amazon sent me a counterfeit high capacity micro sd card, which I paid 75 CAD for. So you need to be careful even buying shipped and sold by amazon products.
Yeah, when they listed off all the retailers I'm immediately like "yeah... That's where you buy fakes alright" and headed for the comments. I think Amazon's problem with this is the biggest issue since the site is so full of dodgy products but has become the go-to place for so much shopping. I'm pretty sure you'll be able to find tons of fulfilled-by-Amazon stuff, Amazon's pick, etc that is counterfeit but I'm not as sure that would be the case for someplace like Walmart.
The segment was a little misleading, it should have been disclosed they were buying from a third party seller on Walmart and Amazon. Nothing was mentioned about buying from third party sellers until closing part. Kind of damaging to Amazon and Walmart by not clearly stating if they were buying from a third party or sold by Amazon or Walmart.
Amazon Marketplace (third-party sellers) sells more goods than Amazon itself. As eBay already learned, selling platforms can be held liable for dangerous and illegal goods sold by third party sellers on those platforms.

Do you think Fender bothered to mention this at any point? hell no. Not only did they use shoddy substandard parts on a very expensive amp they couldn't even bother to make it right. But they were sure demanding that I come back n buy more from them.
Worst ones I've seen are shoe companies. Nikes are no better than the cheap alternative brands. Nearly all high end clothing companies are guilty of this though
A common practice is for the Chinese manufacturers to produce one for their client (Gucci, Coach, Nike, etc.) and also another to sell on the black market (black market often means "legitimate" retailers like big online companies and brick and mortar stores in Chinese shopping malls). That's why "counterfeits" are so good when people buy them in China, because they're often not really counterfeits but a side business for manufacturers who make the real thing. Of course, the real brands don't see a penny of revenue from these sales.
This was about the most shoddy reporting I have seen in a long time. update: The company in china nike pays to make their products makes twice the amount nike orders, they send niuke the order and the company then puts there half of the products they made onto amazon, wish and all the other websites that allows people to sell their products. This is why I never buy on the second hand market from places like amazon or walmart. Before I buy anything from them, I always make sure that they are the vendor, not just the middle man.

That judge lady is way over herself. All brands, legit or counterfeit, are linked to all kinds of morally questionable practices in third world countries; the difference is "legit branding" usually has more power to bend the laws of those countries to allow these practices for dirt-cheap salaries, and their products are multiple times more expensive.
Why are our tax dollars going towards buying CBC that many TV's? Seriously, there had to have been 40 TVs on that stage... I know they use them in other videos but that's ridiculous, why are we funding this?

update: The company in china nike pays to make their products makes twice the amount nike orders, they send niuke the order and the company then puts there half of the products they made onto amazon, wish and all the other websites that allows people to sell their products. Alot of people just think amazon is the one selling you the product instead of amazon being a platform for sellers just like ebay is.
That’s why I always buy my clothes front the store website or in person.
This is why I never buy on the second hand market from places like amazon or walmart. Before I buy anything from them, I always make sure that they are the vendor, not just the middle man.
Yhhh, usually, Amazon is just the logistics provider. Meaning, you can buy something from Amazon website sold by a brand , and Amazon simply takes care of the shipping and delivery side of the transaction. 🚩
"Are these real?"
"I don't know, if you like, you buy."
Seems legit.
Production quality, filming an external monitor 😂
Found you snow kitty. Why you no upload as much anymore ?
WHY IS THAT MANS NAME THE SAME AS MIKE’S FROM MONSTERS INC 🤣🤣🤣
2:01
I howled literally out loud
I used to care about whether stuff I bought online was real or not, but these days I dont really care.
I like how they cheered when they clapped
I would not expect WalMart to sell fakes.
Just don't buy this junk period. Why are you giving your hard earned money to rich people. All you're doing is paying for their rich lifestyle. I agree with commenters, if you have to buy, buy from or at legitimate stores.
I can speak from my own experience of getting scammed from Aliexpress, purchase a 128gb flash drive turned out the drive was corrupted and only had 8gb of memory
Glitch 😂😂😂
If you are buying Kylie Products. Are you really surprised?
If anything. It’s just poetic
Some of this was interesting, but I hated all the fluff and most of the music!
When it debuted, "Marketplace" was commercial free, to avoid any suspicion of bias. About 20 years ago, it was radically changed, and became mostly sizzle with only a tiny bit of substance, and it started allowing commercials.
It would be really interesting if you did an investigation on the treatment of women in clubs, stripclubs, brothels, dancing & other entertainment industries.
The treatment from patrons, DJs coworkers, & the action security, bouncers, managers & police take.
Amazon has a excellent return policy though unless you buy through a third party.
Well why do i feel like the audience in the fashion show were counterfeit
you get em CBC cutting edge drama!
The REAL Scammers Are The REAL Companies WHo Sell A handbag For 7000 Dolars, LOL !
The irony of getting a wish ad opening this video
Another thing that would be the best way to avoid buying counterfeit products is the company's that sells the real thing should lower their price... Now that's the way to avoid it
That judge lady is way over herself. All brands, legit or counterfeit, are linked to all kinds of morally questionable practices in third world countries; the difference is "legit branding" usually has more power to bend the laws of those countries to allow these practices for dirt-cheap salaries, and their products are multiple times more expensive.
Those countries have to do that, no us baby sitting, please.
Another interesting and relevant topic from Marketplace but audience format is not working.
Excellent, we need to protect fortune 500 companies!
Way to go CBC
One time I went to Pacific Mall and saw cheap Beats by Dr. Dre headphones. Except they misspelled the brand. It spelled Beast. Lol.
I haven't been to Pacific Mall in years but when I went (because they have a decent food court), I don't think I saw a single non-Chinese person
Michael Xz yeah I went there because of the great food court too. Good food at good prices.
eBay has an ‘Authenticity Verifed’ Checkmark now it’s pretty cool
Why are our tax dollars going towards buying CBC that many TV's? Seriously, there had to have been 40 TVs on that stage... I know they use them in other videos but that's ridiculous, why are we funding this?
Anything you get from Aliexpress and Wish are pretty much guaranteed to be counterfeit.
All the websites sale counterfeit goods. You have to go to the real department store for original
Those Pacific Mall merchants did not lie to you, they explicitly said that their stuff was not real/ genuine.
HAHA I knew they were going inside Pacific Mall before they even said it.
Lol why is that ?
so if they keep it from the buyer so they dont get a counterfiet do they get a real one or a refund?
The US Customs piece was laughable. They do not do that with every package, it would take 10 years to get your stuff!
I miss the good ol days of ebay where you could buy some pretty awesome and rare finds without having to sift thru cheap imported crap. Now it looks like wish. 🙄
If corporations wouldn’t charge so much for THEIR stuff, there wouldn’t be as much of an incentive to counterfeit.
i liked how he locked the door after she came inside
Friendly reminder that Wish, the company that sponsors the LA Lakers on their jerseys, is STILL selling crackpipes in 2020
Never buy for third party vendor on wal-mart and amazon. Also amazon opened the flood gate a few years ago to compete with ali express and now it's really difficult to know if the product is legit or not. I know I seem to contradict my first statement with my second but stuff get mix up in the amazon warehouse sometimes(it seems) and also Amazon doesn't have great QA, they are there to move product and it falls on the customers to do their due vigilance; it's really the wild west now(anarcho-capitalist) at Amazon.
It’s unfortunate to see that society has become full of scammers, I always will stick with salvaged goods for this reason.
