I spent my happiest childhood holidays in Weymouth, stopping every year with my uncle and aunt. Only been back twice in the last 40 years and watching this has made me want to go back and visit all these wonderful places again. Thanks for the reminded, just sponsored you! Cheers Alan
Do it, Alan. And remember, if you ever do venture this far south, give me a call, and I will take the time to show you some sights. all the best, mate, and thanks for watching!
Best of luck with the Mighty Hike, Trev. This is a stint on the Dorset coast that I've been meaning to do for several years... Great to see what it's actually like. A good day out, by the looks of it and good to see your brother in tow as well. All the best!
Best wishes for the mighty-hike Trev...........another enjoyable watch, shed loads of birdlife along that coast, nice one Trev........good to see your lad out with you too......cheers..Stu..👍
Loved this video as I am really familiar with Portland. When I was a kid, my mum and dad always took us to the campsite you can just see in your video on the clifftops as you are climbing out of Church Ope Cove. We used to play all over the clifftops and in that old graveyard and around the castle. My younger brother and me did the walk right around Portland when I was about thirteen. Thanks for the nostalgia trip.
Great video. The old firing range at 3.31 is usually populated by wild Portland goats. Church Ope is beautiful but the steps are a killer. The sculptures at tout quarry are great. Back when we had the bad storms 4 years ago, waves were coming over the pub at the start of the causeway .
We’re (me and my family) will be camping for a week at littlesea this year, I’m looking forward to walking around the isle of Portland even more so now after watching this!
Hello mate, great to see this one! Portland like you said is definitely a unique area he he!!! The Chesil embankment is a great to hike perfect for wildcamping and that desert island isloate feeling in some places one my favourite!! Nice to see you enjoying my local stomping ground and hopefully we cross paths on the south west coast path one day mate! Cheers Trev oh and Frank!
Cheers Jodz. I still have to do a coastal wild camp - been meaning to get around to it by now, so hopefully before the summer is over. Thanks for watching, and hope to catch you too somewhere along the way. all the best!
@@SummitOrNothing your welcome mate! And yeah be great to grab a selfie and clock in a few miles with you on the coast path sometime.... Cheer Trev your a ledgend have a good one! 👍
Cool vid! I went there in January and did a video - part of the Western coastal path was closed though, ended up striking through the few villages in the centre to reach Portland Bill - big walk. Didn't realised I missed so many sights on the Eastern side that your vid showed! Saw that bit with the stone sculptures though - very impressive!
Such a shame I didnt know you were coming down this way, could have joined you as my house was in the back ground as you crossed the bridge to Portland. Nice to see something local and portland where I grew up. Portland has many surprises and wonders. Nice one.
A great walk and another great video. The Isle of Portland certainly looks like an interesting place to walk. Any campsites / wild camping spots en route?
Rob is the strong silent type. I have a feeling you two are going to crush the charity walk. But if Trev fails to complete the full distance, he said he would film himself doing something stupid and dumb and post it on UA-cam. That is if he doesn't get another strike.
Great walk around the island lots of history to see as well

I’ve sailed by this coastline hundreds and hundreds of times. It’s nice to see it looking out the other way.
Cooking on board video next?
George Post funny you say that. I’m working on it.
My pleasure to share with you.
Great video as usual Trev. I didnt realise how much there is to see on Portland. Will definitely have to visit there.😊😊👍👍
