Quality video guys, your breakdancing is far superior to mine 🤣 I'm often in Weymouth visiting my in-laws and have been to Portland many times, but didn't know all that was there 😯 will definitely check it out next time, I love all the carvings, especially the boat 😍 great work with the drone too 👍 ooh and the Roy dog 😍 and Chesil beach too 😍 those quarry bridges/tunnels are pretty cool too. Landslides around that area are very common unfortunately 😥 I definitely need to check out the twin lighthouses when I'm there next too 😁 Bet those beach huts are worth a pretty penny 😳 the lavender is a very pretty flower too 😁 I absolutely love the old winches and machinery from bygone days, fantastic to see 😍 Loving the old castle too, shame you couldn't get in for a better look around 😭 safe to say that while walk is on my to do list when I'm in Weymouth next, thanks for sharing guys, keep up the good work, atb Paul 🙏🏕️🏕️🏕️😁

Ceri & Kat, the quarry and all those sculptures were pretty cool👍 Really liked the elephant🐘 and the chair (that fitted). There is nothing to beat a good cliff walk, especially one with some history. The old fort is definitely a grand design, what a place to live in. Plenty to see around Portland Bill including that beautiful sea lavender👍 A beautiful walk with so much to engage all the senses and perhaps the most scenic YOC in the country!

What a great thing to do with old limestone; love those sculptures. What a beautiful coast, with the barrier beach. Love those cliffs over the sea, and what a place for a lighthouse. I'd love to have a go at sculping one of those rocks. Love the way Kat sees the world, most would see the destruction the quarry has made but Kat sees the beauty shining out. Great way to start my Monday morning, just wish I had some more to watch. That sculpture at the 5:45 mark was horrible... The crocodile was my favorite one. You guys go to the best locations.

Wow what an epic walk guys ! The sculptures remind me of the wooden Chessmen on the Isle of Lewis. So much history with the WW outposts , the Vikings, Normans and Victorian Citadel. Not to mention the topography and geology - I’ve learnt what a conglomerate is today ! Love the coastal flora and reminds me of the SW coastal path and the sea pinks on the cliff tops in Cornwall. Some great, interesting facts about Portland, loved it ! I particularly liked the sculptures, I'd have the dog and the elephant in my garden, nice to see the quarries reused this way and turned into beauty spots, free ones. I didn't realise there was a castle keep there, pity it's not open to the public. Enjoyed the cliff walks and the nature info. Great droning too! Wasn't aware of the Viking invasion there..well done, very professional, ready for the next one😬👍 xx

Such an interesting walk! So many beautiful sculptures, but all the old bits of quarrying hardware, the dock, the lighthouses and the citadel would grab my attention! One of those walks that must have been hard to finish with all the distractions 😁 All the best & have a great week!👍👍

You always find such cool interesting things on your walks... what a walk it was!! Sculpture trail looked amazing so glad you had that drone to capture some of the amazing footage. I love horns so really liked that horn in the rock. Good job you were there Kat to spot them id prob be walking round with Ceri trying to find them 🤣 That boat is something else!! 😱😱👌🏻👌🏻 They all look amazing and The Roy Dog. So many cool things, love the fort, love the lighthouses 😃 That obelisk is like the worlds biggest trig haha. So cool how it works as a warning. Been there many times over the year, last time about 3 years ago, as my Uncle and Aunt live in Weymouth and we used to holiday with them when I was a kid. Loved the stone carvings, never seen those before and I am not used to seeing it nothing but full sunshine down there. I remember going to the top of Portland Bill went I was a kid and (as I remember) seeing submarines coming out of Portland harbour, happy memories. One thing we have never done is walk around the whole island, so that was a treat to see, cheers Alan

I am so pleased you both enjoyed your walk around my Home Isle. Your enthusiasm is infectious. The production value is excellent, and perhaps you will visit again during the more 'Warmer' Months and marvel at our wonderful wildlife. Portland has a really full abundance of Moths and Butterflies among many other insects, Birds and other amazing creatures. The young Offenders Prison IS an active and working prison and so is the Verne Citadel prison which is currently home to Sex offenders (One of which is Gary Glitter) The Verne Citadel was built as a Military Barracks and later changed to a Prison. Well done though, a great video to watch and you both are delightful! Thanks for sharing! Andy

Hi Ceri and Kat, I enjoyed seeing your tour of Portland - didn't get to revisit it after all recently as I wasn't keen on the campsite and the weather was pretty fowl. Saw a lot of familiar paths, sites and features. But some of the rock sculptures and formations were new to me. I believe there's also an Olympic Rings sculpture higher up. Thanks for sharing. Fascinating walk with a lot of variety. Hope you guys are all good. We really enjoyed this adventure. This is definitely one for us to do in the future. The sculptures in the quarry were amazing & the drone shots really added to it. Every time we've been to Portland in the past we've just done the usual tourist thing as in just going straight to the end to see the lighthouse only & completely missing all the other things the island has to offer. Ceri & Kat, the quarry and all those sculptures were pretty cool👍 Really liked the elephant🐘 and the chair (that fitted). There is nothing to beat a good cliff walk, especially one with some history. The old fort is definitely a grand design, what a place to live in. Plenty to see around Portland Bill including that beautiful sea lavender👍 A beautiful walk with so much to engage all the senses and perhaps the most scenic YOC in the country!

What a great thing to do with old limestone; love those sculptures. What a beautiful coast, with the barrier beach. Love those cliffs over the sea, and what a place for a lighthouse. I'd love to have a go at sculping one of those rocks. Love the way Kat sees the world, most would see the destruction the quarry has made but Kat sees the beauty shining out. Great way to start my Monday morning, just wish I had some more to watch. That sculpture at the 5:45 mark was horrible... The crocodile was my favorite one. You guys go to the best locations.

Wow what an epic walk guys ! The sculptures remind me of the wooden Chessmen on the Isle of Lewis. So much history with the WW outposts , the Vikings, Normans and Victorian Citadel. Not to mention the topography and geology - I’ve learnt what a conglomerate is today ! Love the coastal flora and reminds me of the SW coastal path and the sea pinks on the cliff tops in Cornwall. Some great, interesting facts about Portland, loved it ! I particularly liked the sculptures, I'd have the dog and the elephant in my garden, nice to see the quarries reused this way and turned into beauty spots, free ones. I didn't realise there was a castle keep there, pity it's not open to the public. Enjoyed the cliff walks and the nature info. Great droning too! Such an interesting walk! So many beautiful sculptures, but all the old bits of quarrying hardware, the dock, the lighthouses and the citadel would grab my attention! One of those walks that must have been hard to finish with all the distractions 😁 All the best & have a great week!👍👍

Love that you saw it as a gigantic trig, so true lol! We try out best to plan a good hike, soemtimes what we find and share is off the cuff otherwise we'll use the history of the area, but ultimately glad to share our adventures with you. The SWCP is an incredible track, wont like we are a little hooked atm. Waiting in Exped to send back a new mat, so will continue with a few more walks until our next camp.

Been there many times over the year, last time about 3 years ago, as my Uncle and Aunt live in Weymouth and we used to holiday with them when I was a kid. Loved the stone carvings, never seen those before and I am not used to seeing it nothing but full sunshine down there. I remember going to the top of Portland Bill went I was a kid and (as I remember) seeing submarines coming out of Portland harbour, happy memories. One thing we have never done is walk around the whole island, so that was a treat to see, cheers Alan

After the golden samphire, I kept waiting to see some sea buckthorn. Would have felt like I was watching you forage for the Great British Menu! Granted, the sea buckthorn never seems to go over well.

I am so pleased you both enjoyed your walk around my Home Isle. Your enthusiasm is infectious. The production value is excellent, and perhaps you will visit again during the more 'Warmer' Months and marvel at our wonderful wildlife. Portland has a really full abundance of Moths and Butterflies among many other insects, Birds and other amazing creatures.
The young Offenders Prison IS an active and working prison and so is the Verne Citadel prison which is currently home to Sex offenders (One of which is Gary Glitter) The Verne Citadel was built as a Military Barracks and later changed to a Prison.

I enjoyed seeing your tour of Portland - didn't get to revisit it after all recently as I wasn't keen on the campsite and the weather was pretty fowl.
Saw a lot of familiar paths, sites and features. But some of the rock sculptures and formations were new to me. I believe there's also an Olympic Rings sculpture higher up.

Fascinating walk with a lot of variety. Hope you guys are all good. We really enjoyed this adventure. This is definitely one for us to do in the future. The sculptures in the quarry were amazing & the drone shots really added to it. Every time we've been to Portland in the past we've just done the usual tourist thing as in just going straight to the end to see the lighthouse only & completely missing all the other things the island has to offer.
