Welcome to the Letterman UA-cam Channel, home to all your favorite clips from Late Night and Late Show - as well as conversations with the writers, producers and performers who helped make it all happen. One of Canada’s national treasures. Rest in peace Sue . You helped thousands learn about their own sexual health.
She's a freakin' legend. If only the health ed teachers in school had this level of frankness and knowledge. She's scientific, but has humour and style.
@@milk-it Love your UA-cam name. LOL 😝
@@andrewgeorgelang Thanks! 😋 The stop sign is really cool! 😎
Agree 💯!
No! Speak for yourself 😮
They had great chemistry together in this interview. She really knew how to be informative and entertaining at the same time.
Sue was fantastic. A breath of fresh air in a socially repressed world. ❤ RIP.
Def ✊🏻
I concur with your sentiment 100%♡
Perv. in my opinion. But I'm straight.
It wasn't that she explained it. Its HOW she explained it. Easy terms, a bit of humor and 100% truth. RIP Sue.
BS you simp.
Even in this interview she comes off so strong. You can tell the audience is completely drawn in
Nobody could shock her. Almost everyone tried. She was solid and dependable. We Canadians loved her.
Just proves Canadians aren't to bright 😂 sexual liberation of women has been nothing but detrimental to them and society as a whole
Yup, i remember her showing up at Algonquin College in Ottawa and nobody could shock her...but she could shock them!!!!
A pioneer and champion in every sense. RIP Sue. I'm so grateful to have listened and watched you throughout your career.

Hello there, is that really you on your profile photo? Wow!

Between This Sweet Lady and Gordon Lightfoot Canada Has Sustained REAL LOSS. God-Bless You guys.
@@JerryQuison Are You Canadian Sir? Just Asking.
The world needs more people like Sue Johanson. She was awesome, to say the least !
Hello there Jane, how are you?
@@AstroBear11 I’m good myself how are you
A legend. We need her now more than ever. Too many repressed people need her humor and info.
RIP Sue Johanson. You took a call from me live, on air, in the summer of 2000. So helpful and educational; you'll be sorely missed 😢❤
props to u for having the courage to call in
Do you remember what your question was? 😂
@@charlenemack7040 lol yes I remember, but no, not sharing (I was 18 at the time). Question was real, but was also dared by a girlfriend to call in as well 😅
We're you the one that glued your hand to your.......self?
@@jeffreycairns767 haha no, definitely not me. My question wasn't abnormal or anything (just not something I wanna share with a bunch of UA-cam strangers lol)
Thank you for posting this. She was such an awesome person who taught us a lot. There will never be another like her. RIP Sue.
She has a great sense of humor about a sensitive subject.
RIP Sue. You will be missed greatly. Know the education you’ve passed on over the decades has help people become more sexually aware of themselves and their partners. ❤❤❤❤❤
Sexual liberation has not been good for women and as a result society at large ... studies show that women who have many partners have difficulty bonding with one man
RIP Sue! She informed generations of young men and women about a very important topics not everyone wants to discuss.
What a classic interview. These two were great together
A lot of chemistry... 😅😊
Her show needs to be rebroadcast or put online somewhere, it's super entertaining and it's good info!
Yes!
I loved this woman in the 90's. She made us feel safe to talk and think about our bodies.
I loved her. I'm from Canada and she was fearless. Great lady. And very helpful to people with real questions.
this is hilarious ... this is the only time I think Dave doesn't quite know how to ask questions ... absolutely funny. j
I use to watch her show a long time ago. She was a great comedian too,
I watched her program a few times, but not any regularity. She was great and will be missed dearly. I hope there will be another Sue Johanson coming to a Canadian channel soon. Parents , teachers and schools can use this type of person, cool calm collected and most of all knowledgeable and non judgemental.
She was fantastic and a national treasure.
Rest easy, Sue! You not only helped people in Canada but the United States too! Many young teens learned vital information from you! Love you always!
I don't care about "size." All I want is a loving, loyal, and beautiful man. The physical intimacy will then flow
Sue put a lot of smiles on a lot of faces. What a Legend !
1:37 Nice mention of Kenora there. For those not familiar, it's a town of about 15,000 on Lake of the Woods, about a five and a half hour drive west of Thunder Bay, Paul's hometown, and a two and a half hour drive east of Winnipeg.
Also holds the record for the greatest pine-cone displays in the northern hemisphere.
You saved me looking it up, wasn't sure if it was Kenora, ON or Canora, SK. They're pronounced the same. Also the same level of local "entertainment" 🤣
@@AstroBear11 exactly.
RIP,Sue Johansen. Thanks for informing on what you know on what people ask you about.
"That'll get ya kicked out of the supermarket." Dave never missed a beat.
That was quite entertaining and educational. Thank you Sue, RIP. Thank you, Dave.
A Canadian treasure.. Especially for those with useless parents. She will be missed
I wish I could thumbs up this 1000 times.
RIP an authentic Canadian icon.
Great comment
If it wasn’t for her…I wouldn’t have any parents!
@@davidjulesarseneau6364 You learned things from what she said? I was born in the 70's and there was not 1 thing I didn't know, even before Highschool lol I considered it more like uneducated humour...
Thank you Sue! One more reason that I'm proud to be a Canadian! Miss you forever.
I know a guy who was the designated person to introduce her to a group of teenagers at a library talk she was giving on birth control. Before the talk was ready to begin, he spent some time with her while she was leafing through a book about “nymphomaniacs”. She started to notice the names of the “nymphs” were all female. She said puzzledly “there aren’t any men [male nymphomanics listed] here” then nudged him and said “cause they ALL are eh?”
😂
That sounds kind of offensive.
@@3DJapan why ?
@@3DJapan it was a joke
@@3DJapan oh god people like you are tiring as hell. It was joke, growing up already
RIP Sue. Your show was one of my first guilty pleasures. I always appreciated how inclusive you were of LGBT people.
I WILL miss her honestly, candour & expertise. She was & always will be a Canadian icon. It would be nice if her daughter took over & kept it going.
RIP Dear Sue.
i used to watch him ALL the time and i never remember seeing anyone "handle" him like she did here! She's awesome!
I saw this on TV in Australia at that time and she was the funniest guest he ever had! What a character
As an American, another Canadian I love is gone 😢
An absolute Canadian Icon Sue Johansson. Canadians are just way more educated in all things than in the USA. It’s Just a fact.
Damn, you flying swastikas too?
@@user-mm8vw1ow1x What the hell? 😂😂
@@MooyakAttack The arrogant pride runs deep. Unfortunately our education system is a mockery of the term just like our judicial system. Schools are prisons and prisons are slave camps. And we keep paying for abuse. He's right, but its the air of pretentious, arrogant nationalism that he could calm down on
Two truths in life. 1. Size DOES NOT matter 2. Women NEVER lie
All the way amazing, she was one of our greatest treasures. RIP Sue, we'll miss you and your expertise terribly.
A smart woman ahead of her time. Will miss her tremendously. RIP Sue ❤
Hey there, how are you?
A head of her time? In what way, such a time would probably never exist
Every granny should be like her, especially in religious countries.
She was and will always be a treasure ❤
Oh man, funny, Dave's the perfect interviewer for this. Thanks for everything Sue!
Just learned sue passed away last week. I loved her oxygen show. She was 93, what a lifetime!!!
Dave's prude act is always pretty funny.
This woman is great....or I guess was great. First time I've heard of her is in this video. RIP nice lady
Sure miss seeing your show, Dave. I watched it even way back when it was on NBC! Thank you for all of the laughs you have given me over the years! 😉
She was hilarious. Thanks for posting!

Hello there Cheryl, how are you?
I loved listening to Sue as a teenager. I remember once a guy called in about a 'terrible smell' every time he 'went down' on his girlfriend. Her advice was to tell her to "wipe her @ss". Lol
OH yea, I remember that clogged drain at the fish house smell.
That is hilarious!
What a fantastic guest and interview. The Peanut butter story was hilarious. RIP Sue.

This is sincerely so great.

Hello there Sandy, how are you?
Great interview! This could never happen today.
I love this lady... She is a great and wise teacher and a lot of fun also.
Oh my god the way she and Dave interacted was hilarious. I don't know what was funnier, when they panned to Paul's face or when she was describing taking the condom out , saying you flirt around saying ok big boy, and Dave said 'not in my house ". 😂
It is always fun to watch Dave interview someone who is wittier and funnier than him.
She was ahead of her time. She will be missed. RIP Sue
Ol' Sue must have been one Hellcat between the sheets EH?
Sue was an absolute gem.
Nice work letterman! Respect
I occasionally watched Dr. Ruth. Once she had a elderly married couple who seemed to have a perfect life together. They told their birthdays and they were the same as my in-laws who were wonderful. She also talked about open marriage. She said normally after a while the man wants to go back to a normal relationship but the woman wants to continue.
What a great interview! 😂
What an interesting interview, first there is Dave who is obviously a bit uncomfortable with the topic, but full well knowing he is in the entertainment business and by god he is going to use the woman to do some entertaining, and he gives it all he can, and then the lovely Canadian woman, who is disarming and funny and kind and serious and just wonderful. Not many guests won Dave over, but the kiss on the hand at the end showed that Dave was completely won over, along with the audience.
Love this she was soooo funny. May she R.I.P
OMG @ 6:23
"He's from Canada, he's not gonna get embarrased!"
Sue replies "Oh, you wanna go there?" She's amazing honest and way funnier than i expected
