Honda is really fantastic....they know what customer wants to see in their car design... they somehow manage to bring back that old retro look in EV...and that's what I most like 👍🏻
Camera, screen and all the electronics are not stationary but moving parts. They tend to fail over time. Imagine camera stops working and you stay blinded until you get it fixed. And the service centre says they dont have the spare. It would be a night mare. Replace with a mirror and it works until some one breaks it not on its own.

There goes the car companies replacing something simple, functional, and reliable like mirrors with cameras and screens that can have a million things go wrong with them. They do it on purpose
But you can also incorporate scanners in the cameras that can process the "picture" and can alert re overtaking cars, lane keeping, backing, vandalism etc etc.... and the aerodynamics of the camera pods far exceeds that of standard mirror housings..

My honest opinion: - It honestly looks horrible - I can already see many risks if this car would be used in my home country: Door handles like that don't really want to work in freezing temperatures. And those "mirrors"... Just why? Why not use actual mirrors???

I live in NZ and I only saw this car once. But somehow, Our local Honda Dealer, never actually sold a Honda E before. Because it is not available in NZ.
The problem with rear view screens that many don't realize is that, because you're looking at a screen 2 ft away after looking at the road 20ft away, your eyes have to refocus and it takes a second. You can't do quick glances like you do normally. With a mirror it's not an issue. Besides, it's adding more complication and expense for no reason

I Guarantee there are water drains within the charge port area
There are four drain holes that don't allow it to fill up when it's open, and when it's closed, it's water sealed against the elements.
