yeah same here ,,i talk to my cattle seems to calm them //it sounds weird to use such a phrase but cattle aint stupid they know not to bite the hand that feeds them etc,,,,
This video makes me cry. I am a daughter of a farmer than was exactly like you. Love the cows and the little ones. Now he is 87 years old. It is a thing that I learn from my father is the love for animals and the love for his job. Thanks
Lots of love and work in this Farm! These videos are excellent and very educational. Thank you for growing our food with your wife , Erin. Your three kids are lovely and hope one day they will do the same as their parents!
I've helped my uncle during calving season and can remember days like this, including bacon and egg sandwiches at 2:30 in the morning, and being exhausted beyond measure. The rewards were immeasurable. Mike, thank you for sharing and god bless ranchers.
I believe the Gator has been a real life saver! Gosh, Mike, I don't know what you would do without Erin! What a fantastic ranch wife!! What a wonderful life you are blessed to live!
Once again Mike, thank you for letting us get a sneak peek into your life. As an over the road truck driver, I’ve pasted my share of ranches, farms and crop fields. I tip my hat to everyone of you. Just remember, calving isn’t forever.
Oh, I remember these days, as if it were yesterday. The barometric pressure leads to births. You are doing fantastic. I never had cake, but that seems to be the trick. Suggestion, create a crate for the back of the gator and put the newbies in it to bring mama back to the barn. Smile, Mike! Every live calf is a win...
I was watching the live cam on the website from when you tagged the calf born in the hay feed, he did try and get up several times, but just kept falling back down. I wasn't too surprised when you came out with the cake and got the calf.
I love that calf warmer, it saves lives and you too! Love the care you take with your calves and mom! Your wife is a champ letting a calf in her tub, that was perfect!
I am absolutely loving this. I am a newborn nursery nurse and this is reminding me of a typical day on the job. I have similar conversations with newborn babies. Would love to experience this in person.
Mike first I have to say so happy you were able to get the gator and with heat and air. My hat is of to you for your time has to be spent caring for your cattle but I know you would not have it any other way. What a great man you are
I just have to admire and applaud you for all the hard work and effort especially with the camera views. Its incredible and takes so much more time to do anything. Having to set up cameras and going back and forth..and in and out probably multiple times. Thank You thank you thank you 👏 ✌💛🇨🇦
You're right, Mike. In spite of the ups and downs, the hard work and freezing cold winters, there is no better life than ranch life. While we are happy to see you getting some much needed moisture, we are praying for the safety of your herd. You and Erin are wonderful people, and you are loved.
What a difference the gator makes for the ease of transporting the calves. The heater in the gator is perfect for those cold babies. You are in your element and very good at what you do.
“WOW,” you sure had a crazy day, but sooooo rewarding, as you said. I thought momma cow was coming into the gator with her calf. Bean was on hand to help with tub calf, so cute. You’re going to have busy night and day coming up. Hoping all goes well with calfs and moms. Awesome video; thank you for sharing this special event .
What a rough day.... well half a day.....that we saw anyway. I was frustrated right along with you and wanted to help! I'm glad everyone warmed up and are doing fine. But that is some rewarding work! Great job Mike and Erin! Oh and Bean! So cute to watch Bean help clean up that calf! ❤️😊
Wow! That's a lot of driving around to keep a check on the new calves. What a great rancher to spend so much time with the cattle. The last calf, you returned, mom had quite the unusual sound. So great your wife is available to help.
I have thoroughly enjoyed watching your video...you and Erin are very kind and compassionate when dealing with your animals...you are blessed to have found your calling...keep doing what God intended you to do...❤
The highest respect and so many people should see and know the outstanding care and hard work into taking care of cows and new calves. It is extremely rewarding to as you said to be able to help new calves, and it is neat to have the equipment to help care for warming the calves up and be able to them out to their mothers. And also you and your wife do what ever is needed to take care of the calves.Thank you for sharing and God Bless you, your wife, and family.
I don't blame you for loving your life! Where else can you see the miracles of birth and see your hard work pay right before your eyes. But, the best is when you have cows like Bambi that come to give you love, look for some cake, and love you. That melts me every time! You are so blessed to have such an amazing and wonderful wife and partner! I don't know of any woman that would allow a dirty calf in their bathroom. Even though soap and water cleans it like new, they would still never allow it. But, Erin steps up and takes over, proving she has a HUGE heart filled with love and compassion for her animals. I couldn't help but giggle watching her blow dry the calf. Wish I could make a sign to hang in the bathroom "Erin's Calf Styling Salon" or "Erin's Spa". I just love your family and the way you all work together and the love really shows! God Bless and Protect You All!
What a workout, Mike. The new Gator has been well anointed for its job. The heater has proved to be more useful than you originally thought. So good it was included. God bless you and your family.
We have started calving ourselves and the weather up in Alberta is much like Wyoming except we didn't get the big dump of snow but very cold none the less. We are expecting snow later this week, oh joy! You are doing a great job Mike, saving those and most likely other just born baby calves who don't do well in snow and cold. We purchased a brand new calf warmer which our grandson calls the calf sauna. We have not needed to use it yet but it gives us peace of mind to know we have this invaluable piece of equipment in our calving barn. We love watching your channel!
Wow, what a day it was for you. Such a mixed blessing with the precipitation. Glad you got all the calves through the day. Hopefully that water will pay dividends later in improved pasture condition.
It's a lot of work but hopefully it will have the rewards of a healthy herd. Mike, the elements and the calf mommas are just not that accommodating but you have or seem to have, the right demeanor for this. Thanks for taking us along and sharing your Wyoming Life. I have come to the conclusion that I am not man enough to handle Wyoming Ranch Life, not at my age now anyway. Praying and pulling for y'all.
Best years of my life...living on a farm for 3 years. Had 2 pet dairy calves...put Kleenex bows on one as a 9 year old. Such memories! No Barbie dolls for me. Learn a lot about nature out in country. A good life for kids. At least for a few years... Wholesome. Need swimming lessons though...got to protect those children.keep an eye on them. Keep kids alive too.
My gosh you got babies all over the place. They are so beautiful and a lot of work as I can see. Never a dull moment for you. You have a good sense of humor......Momma, look at your baby cafe......explain yourself? Your dog is a big love.
The bathtub red calf doesn't smell the same anymore. Mom did give you a nice Moo and a head nod when you returned her calf to her. I thought that nice of her.
Although our ranch when I was growing up, was in the pampas of Argentina, we did many similar things, just more primitively.I can see the care and devotion to your farm animals. They are fortunate to end up on your spread. Most Americans have no clue the effort and sacrifice people and families go through to raise that cattle.God bless you all and keep up all that good work !
I just got a say 'Bloody Well done Mike', love your videos, your persona is chilled and respecfull for the animals, lovely to see. I farm by myself and it's great to watch and see the Canadian way. Love it new gator. Bet u can't wait till Beans giving u some help. Keep up the great work, you guys are doing awesome. Love to you Erin and all from New Zealand😘
It must be so cold for these calves when they are born in the cold! It was such a good idea for you to put these cows in a smaller pen. Erin is like the queen of gardening, momming and calf caring.😃
What a great job you are doing. Such a great caregiver. I wish I could come and help you. I know you are really working hard but you love them so much you keep going. You're a good man Mike.
Yea, I saw that too on MyRadar. I'm always checking Gillette Wyoming. weather even though I'm living in S. Carolina now. Great that their getting the moisture just the cold temps suck.
I too, love 😍 your videos, especially the way you talk to the cattle. I know it is the reassurance of your voice, but the expectation you have that they will do what you are asking is quite comical. Do love ❤️ you (big tough cattle-man). All my love, Ellen D Queensland, Australia.
I know it was a tough day but at the end you have the pleasure and enjoyment of how you saved some calves. I know the Mama cows might of been mad at you first but they had a look of thanks in their eyes.
What a busy day. Too bad the nice weather didn’t last until calving was done! Erin is a good partner to help like she does! Team work! I’m happy you got the new gator! Such a good day! Hard work
My deepest respect, you and your wife Erin are such a great team. I only grew up in the country but not on a ranch or farm and so I don't have the right overview but in any case, I really like your channels and look forward to every video, etc. God bless you all💫☘️☘️💫
Your conversations with your animals make me laugh. At first, I thought it was staged but now I'm convinced that it's authentic. Wonderful video!
yeah same here ,,i talk to my cattle seems to calm them //it sounds weird to use such a phrase but cattle aint stupid they know not to bite the hand that feeds them etc,,,,
Of course it is! In fact, it's pretty much automatic. Half the time we don't even realize we're doing it!😁😘
This video makes me cry.
It has to make you feel good when you are able to save a very cold calf and get it back to its mom. Good for you.
I love the way he chats with the cows, that is great..
I've helped my uncle during calving season and can remember days like this, including bacon and egg sandwiches at 2:30 in the morning, and being exhausted beyond measure. The rewards were immeasurable. Mike, thank you for sharing and god bless ranchers.
And farmers. Pretty much same thing, just smaller scale.😘👏👏👏
You really put your heart and soul into protecting the newborns. Thank you for all your hard work. God bless you ❤️
I believe the Gator has been a real life saver! Gosh, Mike, I don't know what you would do without Erin! What a fantastic ranch wife!! What a wonderful life you are blessed to live!

Boy, I don’t know how you do this...just you and Erin. Lucky calves to have you in their corner.
Exactly, they definitely have their A-Game on!
That Gator arrived just in time. Great work Mike, Erin and Bean.
I was watching the live cam on the website from when you tagged the calf born in the hay feed, he did try and get up several times, but just kept falling back down. I wasn't too surprised when you came out with the cake and got the calf.
I like the functionality of the new Gator. Floor space for a calf and a nice heater. You definitely needed that
I love that calf warmer, it saves lives and you too! Love the care you take with your calves and mom! Your wife is a champ letting a calf in her tub, that was perfect!
Now that looked like a long day & know you weren’t done. Those calves looked so great going back out & wow the little boy looked so fluffy!
Love to hear ya talk to the animals
Calf taxi service in the gator
Your an awesome rancher Mike I'm sure the mom cows and calves appreciate your hard work
I don't know why but this episode got me all emotional. Lol Gator came at the right time with the right extras. I hope the calves are doing well
I am absolutely loving this. I am a newborn nursery nurse and this is reminding me of a typical day on the job. I have similar conversations with newborn babies. Would love to experience this in person.

Seriously, its so difficult to film a job like this!
I was just thinking of that! I can’t imagine the amount of work needed just for the camera shots!
Mike's Calf Taxi. I enjoy all of the hard work that you and your family does.
I was laughing out loud when Mike put the third calf in the New gator.
Cuber!!
Hjf1 kkk
😵
Amazing how strong these animals are. Imagine a human being born in the snow and then an hour later walking
You're right, Mike. In spite of the ups and downs, the hard work and freezing cold winters, there is no better life than ranch life. While we are happy to see you getting some much needed moisture, we are praying for the safety of your herd. You and Erin are wonderful people, and you are loved.
Man, I would worry myself into an early grave trying to do what you do. You’re doing amazing things. God bless.
Thank you Bill
I’m exhausted just watching you work Mike. Incredible. Them animals are lucky to have you that is for damn sure.
The Gator is not officially broken in till a calf pee’s and poops in it!
What a difference the gator makes for the ease of transporting the calves. The heater in the gator is perfect for those cold babies. You are in your element and very good at what you do.

Your cattle take you so much for granted, makes it easier to get close to take the calves. Thanks for taking us along
This was a great video - I was on the edge of my seat all the time! You did wonderful taking care of all the calf’s etc.
Holy Cow Mike and Erin! That's a busy day! Strong work both of ya!

Awesome! What a life making sure the lives of your calves make it! So cute seeing Bean care for the calf. Good sign he will be a great cattle dog.
Wow! That's a lot of driving around to keep a check on the new calves. What a great rancher to spend so much time with the cattle. The last calf, you returned, mom had quite the unusual sound.

what you and your family do make our country proud. farmers and ranchers are the epitome of america. thanks
Just how much workmanship went into this one vlog amazing job all around. I'm so proud of how each situation was solved as it came.
SOOOOO SWEET of y'all - drying the calf with a hair dryer!! 💞💞💞 The stress of this 🤯 y'all are tough!!⭐

Lots of work. I really appreciate what you do, and your sharing it with us.
"Gonna give a good Yelp review for the airBNB - the tub is nice, although I'd have preferred a jacuzzi. And the Uber ride back to Mom was cool!"
Never, ever a dull moment. I know it is exhausting, but rewarding as well. And your wife is great.
What a busy day! Thankyou for everything that you do! Erin is so good with helping you out with all the calves as well so hats off to both of you!
What a workout, Mike. The new Gator has been well anointed for its job. The heater has proved to be more useful than you originally thought. So good it was included. God bless you and your family.

Wow, ranchers work hard. I appreciate your hard work.
What amazes me is how well they mother up after all the handling. The cows I grew up around were hard to get to do that pretty often.
Busy busy boy 👦
I wish my 20 year old grandson could find a job like that
Wow, what a day it was for you. Such a mixed blessing with the precipitation. Glad you got all the calves through the day. Hopefully that water will pay dividends later in improved pasture condition.

Amazing how rugged these cows are, to be able to have calves in this weather without the calves freezing to death. (Mostly)
I can't even imagine how hard the work you do is. You are an inspiration. Keep up the fine work
Love this series & your channel. The whole family is invested & look forward to watching every night. Love what you do!!!
At least the Gator is broken in, now! Congrats on the babies and good job getting them warmed up.
Hats off to you And Erin, Touch Work Calving season, Great Job

Was an awesome show. No one can call you a city slicker.
I just found y’all on here recently and sure gives me a great deal of respect for what y’all deal with everyday..
A whole new world since yesterday. Thanks for sharing all you do.
Kudos' Mike and Erin for your hard work with these young calves. Constant observation every time you go out is "high rate' of survival.
I love your videos, just brings back so many memories with my dad. Mike you are a true gentleman and rancher.

Maybe i missed something Aischa, but this is Wyoming, USA. 😊❤️
The American Rancher/Farmer definitely does not get enough credit. Thank God for the American Rancher/Farmer and all that they do !!!!!
Mike on this horrible day for America THANK YOU for bring some well needed relief!
You guys are amazing. You both work so very hard. It’s really hard with just the two of you but I’m not telling you anything you don’t already know
That is what ranch life is all about, you do a very good job. Thanks from all of the calf’s that you save!
It must be so cold for these calves when they are born in the cold! It was such a good idea for you to put these cows in a smaller pen. Erin is like the queen of gardening, momming and calf caring.😃
I think you need a couple of towels bath towels period to dry them off faster. I got a dozen of them that I use all the time.
Hi guys! I hope all of the calves stay very warm and healthy. I also hope you guys stay very warm and healthy too.
What a great job you are doing. Such a great caregiver. I wish I could come and help you. I know you are really working hard but you love them so much you keep going. You're a good man Mike.
Cold nights coming for the next couple of days but mostly at night. Sorry to say. Another excellent vlog, a great big thanks Mike and Erin.
Yea, I saw that too on MyRadar. I'm always checking Gillette Wyoming. weather even though I'm living in S. Carolina now. Great that their getting the moisture just the cold temps suck.
Today was a wild day! Lots of cute calves 🐮
Thanks for bringing us along
All of this and shooting video and doing commentary. Hats (or beanies, whatever the case) off to you sir -
I too, love 😍 your videos, especially the way you talk to the cattle. I know it is the reassurance of your voice, but the expectation you have that they will do what you are asking is quite comical. Do love ❤️ you (big tough cattle-man).
All my love, Ellen D Queensland, Australia.
Hi fr British Columbia, Canada
Hard work you are always doing , thank you for helping the calfs , you make the difference , stay safe ! Bob
Hard work
Love your show... I can watch this all day long. Keep them videos coming.
Must have been a stressful day, but good for you. Farming isn't easy, but its rewarding.
I love that you show real life there. Not just cute babies and happy cows. The full picture.
What a day indeed! Thank you for doing the 30 in 30. I know it's more difficult to do anything when you're filming and working one handed.
Ah, the old calf in the bathtub trick, nice 👌
Lot's of hard work on the ranch. Calving in a snow storm is nuts.
First time I watch your channel you are an awesome guy the way you look after your baby cows
That new Gator is sure getting a work out! Thanks for all your hard work and care with those calves.
My deepest respect, you and your wife Erin are such a great team. I only grew up in the country but not on a ranch or farm and so I don't have the right overview but in any case, I really like your channels and look forward to every video, etc. God bless you all💫☘️☘️💫
Just looked on your webcam and saw it snowing again, all the best Mike in the rest of the calfing
