The track XX programme is dead. The Corsa Cliente is the new Ferrari track programme and includes 499P Modificata. An improved version of the 2023 Le Mans winner. You can't get anymore of a hardcore or exclusive track car then that. This XX in no way hurts Ferrari's brand or its top customers who had access to the old track XX programme.
You're right it should have been branded GTO, would follow the 599 GTO/XX generation... its just a track pack basically wheres the XX were and should stay full on race derived.

I'm giving this a like not because of the car, but because of Ollie. It'd be so easy to turn a blind eye and praise the car. Especially once you've been invited to Maranello for a test drive. You keeping it real with the audience instead of playing nice with Ferrari shouldn't go unnoticed.

Yeah I always find that argument funny. Ferrari can call it whatever they want. They obviously feel their clientele will like and buy it so who is to say that is an incorrect approach. BMW used to reserve their ///M cars for homologation purposes but no one in the last 25 years has batted an eye with their recent offerings which didn’t follow that initial philosophy.

To be fair the Ferrari share price has gone up 25% since the start of the year, part of which will be the Lewis factor, he’s already paid for himself. If Newey does move to Ferrari that might move up further, imagine a Newey designed Ferrari hypercar. It would be considered in the same breath as F40 / 250 GTO / McLaren F1.

My car tastes are strange to say the least-Ive always ummd and ahd about the sf90, thinking its not as beautiful as Ferraris normally are. By contrast, I think the SF90XX looks gorgeous. Strange how a few subtle design tweaks can completely 180 your thoughts on a car I like to think the XX Ferraris are still XX Ferraris for prancing horse customer royalty. The XX is a way to resurrect a classic Ferrari name to a new model, like when Ferrari brought back the GTO name for the 599
For those pointing out panel gaps on a Tesla, the panel gaps on this aren't much better. I can see the gap differences from across the ocean, over the internet through a monitor sitting a good distance away. And no, it's not the camera angle. The hood (bonnet) where it meets the front wheel arches - such a huge asymmetry left vs right. GP 233KC - driver's side is more open, 5:24 into the video the driver's side is much tighter compared to the other side. Also notice how the bottom of the door meets the bottom of the quarter panel just behind the wheels compared to the top of the door. The rest of the car seems mostly fine. Once I see the panel gaps I really can't unsee them.

People are so used to Ferrari's majestic design that they forget that the price isn't just a car that you buy, it's pure art. This sf 90 xx spider doesn't care if it's only 30 hp more than the 5 year old predecessor sf90 or multiple times more expensive. It's built like it's out of a teenager's wet dream and a poster hanging in his bedroom wall. Appreciate greatness when you witness it, cause this car is all about that. A true gem

i get the outrage that this car get, but you cannot deny that this is one of the craziest road cars from Maranello, their most insane track focused convertible ever yet
the xx spider is doing a weird balancing act between over the top performance, aggressive design language, and visceral feedback with your surroundings by having the top down. i can't think of a lot of cars that capture all 3 as effectively as this, but it looks fun.
I was really waiting for the "but actually it's great because" at the end. So kudos for being brave enough to call out Ferrari! Because so many supercar makers now have been pumping out super limited, overpriced machines (they're are good, don't get me wrong) just to rinse as much money as possible from the people who are actually enthusiasts. It ruins it for everyone. Just build cars more people can afford and will get driven and seen and are still 99% as epic.
I think they use the XX badge mainly for the design, because road car usually don't have an expose and fix rear wing. That's true since the start of XX program.
I'll take a Corvette all day and spend however many more upgrading it with turbos and wide body and will look better and be more reliable. At a fraction of the cost

458 italia was the peak. that was a car. this is just like that one tool kit you leave in the garage that you look over every once in awhile but never use it because it's a headache.
This is a car designed for driving round Belgravia and the like, the electric only mode will help you avoid fines from the noise cameras on Sloane St, and the drop top will allow you to be instagrammed to your hearts delight. If anything this reminds me of some of the wild 80's specials from the like of Konig, it's a look at me rather than a look what I can do car. A car of our times.
Reviewer seemed to have an agenda against this car from the start. Ferrari should have invited someone who took the time to speak to someone at Ferrari media office who could have maybe explained to him why they created this car. He just seemed to want to spend the review saying how much he didn’t understand why the car existed.

I really like it, have always been a fan of extreme high performance spider or roadster cars. Because you're not on the track very often vs the street. That being said, this falls short of being a genuine XX Ferrari. It needs the track pedigree/marriage, otherwise it's just a line extension of the SF90.
Ferrari missed the mark horribly with this car and the SF90 model range as a whole. truly awful looks, the standard car already looks like about 5 different designs thrown in a blender and then for this they just slapped a Mansory body kit on it. it has a great engine that’s dampened down by a stupid amount of weight and a hybrid system. it’s far too expensive. the 296 renders it pointless. and worst part with all of this is that they called this fast version the XX… when it’s not even close to being a proper XX. just why??

The senna produces 800 kg of downforce at like 150 mph, this produces 530kg at 155 mph. The mclaren p1 produces 600 kg of downforce while looking much more elegant, even the new aston martin valhala produces around 600kg of downforce while looking good. l I dont think they missed the mark, but they could've done better if they wanted to, base sf90 is not a bad car at all. I would choose the revuelto over the sf90 anyday even if it is slower around a track or a drag race. I do wonder if ferrari purposely nerfed the sf90 xx to make the flagship ferrari f250 stand out when it comes out.
@@Mufc_Kenny bro has not seen the stacks of SF90s stuck at dealerships not selling because nobody wants them. also aerodynamics is a pretty thing. the 992 GT3 RS is a brilliant looking car, so is the Mclaren Senna (spec dependant). and for the Revuelto vs the SF90, i honestly couldn’t care less if the SF90 is 3 tenths faster round a circuit because the Lambo looks about 10 times better and has a great big screaming V12 in the back of it that revs to 9,500 rpm. it’s a far more entertaining and awe inspiring car

I like to think the XX Ferraris are still XX Ferraris for prancing horse customer royalty. The XX is a way to resurrect a classic Ferrari name to a new model, like when Ferrari brought back the GTO name for the 599
For those pointing out panel gaps on a Tesla, the panel gaps on this aren't much better. I can see the gap differences from across the ocean, over the internet through a monitor sitting a good distance away. And no, it's not the camera angle. The hood (bonnet) where it meets the front wheel arches - such a huge asymmetry left vs right. GP 233KC - driver's side is more open, 5:24 into the video the driver's side is much tighter compared to the other side. Also notice how the bottom of the door meets the bottom of the quarter panel just behind the wheels compared to the top of the door. The rest of the car seems mostly fine. Once I see the panel gaps I really can't unsee them.

People are so used to Ferrari's majestic design that they forget that the price isn't just a car that you buy, it's pure art. This sf 90 xx spider doesn't care if it's only 30 hp more than the 5 year old predecessor sf90 or multiple times more expensive. It's built like it's out of a teenager's wet dream and a poster hanging in his bedroom wall. Appreciate greatness when you witness it, cause this car is all about that. A true gem

the xx spider is doing a weird balancing act between over the top performance, aggressive design language, and visceral feedback with your surroundings by having the top down. i can't think of a lot of cars that capture all 3 as effectively as this, but it looks fun.

I was really waiting for the "but actually it's great because" at the end. So kudos for being brave enough to call out Ferrari! Because so many supercar makers now have been pumping out super limited, overpriced machines (they're are good, don't get me wrong) just to rinse as much money as possible from the people who are actually enthusiasts. It ruins it for everyone. Just build cars more people can afford and will get driven and seen and are still 99% as epic.
I'll take the standard car to Novitec and get 99% of the performance for half the price, thanks!

I think they use the XX badge mainly for the design, because road car usually don't have an expose and fix rear wing. That's true since the start of XX program.
I'll take a Corvette all day and spend however many more upgrading it with turbos and wide body and will look better and be more reliable. At a fraction of the cost

This is a car designed for driving round Belgravia and the like, the electric only mode will help you avoid fines from the noise cameras on Sloane St, and the drop top will allow you to be instagrammed to your hearts delight. If anything this reminds me of some of the wild 80's specials from the like of Konig, it's a look at me rather than a look what I can do car. A car of our times.
Reviewer seemed to have an agenda against this car from the start. Ferrari should have invited someone who took the time to speak to someone at Ferrari media office who could have maybe explained to him why they created this car. He just seemed to want to spend the review saying how much he didn’t understand why the car existed.
He’s right though. Reviewers should never suck up to manufacturers. They made the car to make money, that’s it

I really like it, have always been a fan of extreme high performance spider or roadster cars. Because you're not on the track very often vs the street.
That being said, this falls short of being a genuine XX Ferrari. It needs the track pedigree/marriage, otherwise it's just a line extension of the SF90.
Ferrari missed the mark horribly with this car and the SF90 model range as a whole. truly awful looks, the standard car already looks like about 5 different designs thrown in a blender and then for this they just slapped a Mansory body kit on it. it has a great engine that’s dampened down by a stupid amount of weight and a hybrid system. it’s far too expensive. the 296 renders it pointless. and worst part with all of this is that they called this fast version the XX… when it’s not even close to being a proper XX. just why??
Ferrari didn't miss anything bcuz they allocated all cars. Aerodynamics isn't a pretty thing. Look at the Senna vs Saber. Ferrari doesnt have issues with demands for their cars so they good. SF90XX close to being sold out. Plus I want to see the Revelto vs SF90 Stadale on a course bcuz Lamborghini might be in trouble. Ignore spelling errors.

@@Mufc_Kenny I'd rather have a fun car with inspiring drivetrain than have aerodynamics and stuff compromise the experience. The senna produces 800 kg of downforce at like 150 mph, this produces 530kg at 155 mph. The mclaren p1 produces 600 kg of downforce while looking much more elegant, even the new aston martin valhala produces around 600kg of downforce while looking good. l I dont think they missed the mark, but they could've done better if they wanted to, base sf90 is not a bad car at all. I would choose the revuelto over the sf90 anyday even if it is slower around a track or a drag race. I do wonder if ferrari purposely nerfed the sf90 xx to make the flagship ferrari f250 stand out when it comes out.

@@Mufc_Kenny bro has not seen the stacks of SF90s stuck at dealerships not selling because nobody wants them. also aerodynamics is a pretty thing. the 992 GT3 RS is a brilliant looking car, so is the Mclaren Senna (spec dependant). and for the Revuelto vs the SF90, i honestly couldn’t care less if the SF90 is 3 tenths faster round a circuit because the Lambo looks about 10 times better and has a great big screaming V12 in the back of it that revs to 9,500 rpm. it’s a far more entertaining and awe inspiring car
Ferraris are still very good. The problem is, they used to be very special. Remember as a kid seeing a 355 in a country lane, and you’d almost feel star struck! ⭐️

It is indeed a pointless car. Whats the point in it being so close to the halo car. Its too heavy and even the standard sf90 doesnt look that good and I also wondered where it sat in the lineup when it came out so this... just... why? Lol manufacturers need to stop putting 'gap' cars inbetween line ups.
