I thoroughly enjoy your videos and your skills. Back in the day I was pretty good with a skidsteer. I needed one of these 22 years ago when I was clearing my woods behind my house with a brush hook. I ended up having a heart attack before finishing. I'm back at it again but this time with a Stihl Brush Whacker. Keep up the great work and God Bless.
JOHN & CREW - That one was really into more than mulching and appreciated. Really nice job too. What a team. WOULD HAVE DONE WELL UNDER FIRE IN THE MILITARY!!! Thanks! Sonny
Proud to be here John... I like watching you clearings all the job. Keep it up team.. You're the best.. By the way, i'm the fifth commenter, Now time in my hometown showing 9.24 pm.. And warmest regards from us here in Sabah, Malaysia.
you guys should wear EYE PROTECTION because debris were flying wild everywhere - Great job you did on the parking lot - it will not be scary in the evening
You left the most important thing back at the shop. The Yetti full of cold water and Gatorade that rides in that trailer, looked plenty dry hot and dusty but being on that black asphalt parking lot added another 50 degrees to the feel like temps 🥵 🔥 ☀️ great job team upstate! 👍👋
Jon, please buy some safety goggles for the guys to wear and protect yourself. If they don’t wear them then it’s on them. The property looks so much better!!
Love watching you guys, I am in awe of the Fecon. However, the mother in me wants to tell Josh, put some eye protection on when using that blower😉🤗 Nice work, always looks great. Keep it up and stay safe😊
I was laughing so much that my wife thought I was crazy 🤪 good thing Josh missed the ball you guys always do a great job. God bless and Josh on more kicking bowling balls lol👍👍👍
I love the mulching videos. I can watch them all day. I always wondered if you walk through the area before mulching just to find those unknown obstacles.
Keep it, sign it, eBay auction it, donate proceeds to your church or charity of your choice. I know you wouldn’t keep the proceeds so I didn’t mention that.
@@mattstone7754 Exactly. There was a British guy who cuts grass and he said he was giving all proceeds to a cancer center, but I don’t think he never did. A lot of scammers out there.
I appreciate the way you guys always clean up the edges and blow any debris away to make it look pristine. Great job as always. BTW: I think OSHA says "no kicking bowling balls."
Love the content keep it up love watching the channel and what you do just wish there were before and after pics at the end of each vid could you consider adding it to your videos please
Great video guys poor josh lol .....you seem to have same weather as us in the uk at the moment we touched around 30⁰c Also could you do a tour of the skid steer please John
John I've been watching your videos a quite a while now and I was wondering if you ever thought about buying a bigger machine I know that the small one does a good job but I didn't know if you thought about ever thought about buying a bigger one for the bigger job enjoy your videos Man be safe God bless
Would you try out a rake attachment for the mini excavator? I don't know how you feel about them but I've seen quite a few E45s with the thumb and rake going nuts on underbrush. As always, love the content guys, cheers from Eastern PA.
So considering taking up forestry mulching as a 3rd career, this video was particularly interesting. I've run track loaders, but am going to go to a heavy equipment operators course (Bobcat dealer won't talk to me without certs and insurance). One of the things that I'm still figuring out is which jobs to bid, and which to pass on as a mulching business. I'd be a single man operation, so don't want to do a lot of hand trimming and cutting. This particular job you're on here I'd go back and forth on a lot before deciding to bid or not. First, is the urban nature of the place. Potential for tons of trash like your bowling ball and more waiting to damage your equipment, or worse, get thrown somewhere and causing damage. There's no way a utility locator guy could have walked that to mark utilities. Second is the slope. Obviously you have years of experience, but there's no way I personally would have run that machine sideways on such a slope. Third is duration of the job. I've got a number in mind that I need to make hourly to make ends meet. A job that I can't charge over 4 hours for doesn't make sense in my business model. Prep time, transportation, cleanup and maintenance time at the start and end of the day have to be done whether it's a one hour or 8 hour job, so doing a short job doesn't make sense. Fourth is the amount of manual cleanup needing to be done here. Again, being a one man show, I don't want to be leaf blowing, weed whacking, and hauling debris. Does it make sense to market myself to larger contractors who have the crews for everything besides mulching? My core market (at least in my planning stages) would be all these 1+ acre, overgrown lots which have set on the market for a year or more. I would think a realtor would encourage his or her client to get some clearing done to get movement on the property.
Great job, looks great. But wear eye protection and hearing protection. The consequences are long lasting. I have constant ringing in my ears from loud machinery.
Good job, that’s hard work that you make look easy . Curious on how you or what do you charge for a job like that? I know your machine is gotta be over 100k and the head is pricey . Have a great day
Hey John, I have a question for you. when you are traveling to a site like this where its an hour+ away, do you include travel time into your bid? If so do you have a flat rate per mile or how do you figure it out?
I’m curious how much would be charged on a job like this....3 guys, 2 machines, 2 trucks and a ways away from the shop. Around here nobody’s willing to pay for a job like this.
Then they have to get thier friends together and cut it all by hand. Ask me how I know! Tell them your gonna have a big cookout afterwards, then do it!
Great job and a good idea to keep extra stuff on board just in case.
Always!
Please continue explaining what& why you are doing. I enjoy watching and learning.
Sometimes, you act like a couple of kids when you work. It’s okay, because it shows me, that y’all are lively and you do your work Expertly. 🌟

Nice, need to look into that.
you guys did a great job you should be proud of yourselves
I like how you keep your equipment clean. So many contractors dont give a damn and wonder why they have failures.

Bigger machines, bigger headaches.
Hello kids, hey let me know when Fecon comes out in a push mower, I'll be the first buying one, lol

When he said hey buddy I actually thought he was talking to me 🤣
Good thing josh missed the ball or he might have a broken toe or foot but I did have a good laugh

At MAKING !! A !! DESERT !!
Did the box turtle make it? 23:56 going right to left. Y’all always do a very good job.
Wow, good eyes…not only didn’t notice it but wouldn’t have guessed what was either 👌👏
So I'm not sure, let's hope he made it
Awesome
I love how your machine just takes down the trees like they are nothing
That was the most expensive tripod stand I think I have ever seen HaHa great video thxs for sharing

I like the versatility of a bucket.
When he tried kicking that bowling ball I almost fell on the floor laughing.
I was thinking John should take Josh to Target to see if he can kick those red balls.
I love watching Your video I want to ride with you on one of those machine hahaha from Trinidad Colorado merry Christmas
The turtle at 25 was getting outta town. LOL
If you guys ever damage a tooth on your machine, the best time to get it fixed is tooth hurty! I'm here all day! 🦷
I would be concerned with erosion now it's cleaned up. A huge rain storm that parking lots gonna be rough.
Josh should’ve stayed down and played you a little bit!! 😂 lost time accident!! 🤣😂

Great video bro you need a bed liner
With the open cab do you ever have a hornet or bee problem?
Look at that red dirt fly.
Hope it don't rain one good rain and all that stuff's going to wash into that parking lot you'll have a real mess
Great job, looks great. But wear eye protection and hearing protection. The consequences are long lasting. I have constant ringing in my ears from loud machinery.

Shoulda panned around with the camera and shown a before and after at the end. Looks like a job well done though.

HI . I am weighing up between a fecon dcr and FAE with bite limiter head for a new skidsteer. Any reason to prefer the fecon over the FAE?

the poor turtle

hydro-mulch would do wonders, for all the area you cleared.
Open farm fields around the place, I guess someone had a bowling ball cannon? How old is that splintered tree?
