I had the Duodenal Switch with Dr Procter! One of the best decisions of my life!
Really good to hear I’m focusing on doing this in a month
Congrats, I’m thinking of getting the sleeve but I’m terrified.
is that the same as a Sadi? i had it done best decision for me as well
@@irenadamienmariah The SADI is a modified version of the Duodenal Switch, but is essentially the same.
@@blackcfp4713 I'm just seeing your comment. Did you have your surgery?
Just remember if you get gallstone down the line (which is a good chance you will) is going to be different. Make sure to tell the surgeon you had a duodenal switch, because not every surgeon will be able to help you.
Just a tip from the tipper
I just went yesterday for my consult with Dr Byrne & Dr Pullatt @ MUSC in Charleston, SC. They said I would benefit from the SADI-S. I had so many labs yesterday done. Hopefully I will be having a surgery date in the fall❤
Best of luck!
Just had SADI 6 days ago. I’m feeling great, thought that the 1st week of liquids post op would be tougher but it really hasn’t.
Great! Best of luck on your journey!

Hello, did you have diarrhea problems after Sadi?
Thanks Doctor for the video.
Is "SAS-J" the same as the modified technique you presented?
Dr proctor can you make a video on distal bypass as a revision option ? Can’t find any info on this.
Great information 🙂
Thanks for watching!
Hi, doctor. Do you do DS ( Demeester style) for bile reflux???? How many cost this procedure????
Does the original duodenal switch cause less hunger and urge to eat than the Sadie?
I'm trying to get all of the information I can before I make the decision of which surgery to get between the two.
I had the Sadi done Feb1/23 have lost so far 122lbs
Hello, did you have diarrhea problems after Sadi?
That's awesome. Were you diabetic before surgery? I'm wondering how they handle adjusting the insulin injections after surgery.
@@christinaduckworth4481 Yes type 2 was on metformin, and insulin now none of it. They a just as u go
@@ahmeteren2994 I did but I was on anitobatics due to another infection nothing to do with the surgery.

Best of luck on your journey!
How you did?
are the minimum bmi/comorbidity thresholds generally the same for the duodenal switches' vs gastric bypass/sleeves?
I had the biliopancreatic DS I beleive …that’s what was on my op report I am always curious about the difference
Which is safest bypass or Sadi-s
Can’t wait glad my insurance approved it 🙂
Yay! Best of luck on your journey!
How’s things going now?
@@tianahamilton8693 great thank you for asking trying to keep up with my protein
Congrats! Which surgery did you end up choosing and how many pounds do u loose each month? @shannyshan9851
So the Single Anastomosis or Mini Bypass is another word for Duodenal Switch?
Not exactly. The single anastomosis duodenal switch (SIPS) is a loop duodenal switch and a mini gastric bypass is a single anastomosis gastric bypass /loop gastric bypass
I did my research about wls, gastric sleeve and gastric bypass for many years now ❤ what’s the difference between sadi-s duodenal switch , gastric sleeve and gastric bypass or mini bypass what’s the difference ?
Easy way to explain: 1 gastric sleeve: 2-3years better results, you still need contor your eat, if not weights will gain. 2. Bypass: hard surgery will get many connection and It is easy to cause interface leakage, and you need to take vitamins for life. But for long term weight loss 3. Mini bypass: just single connection easy safety but Frequent esophageal acid reflux, bile acid reflux, and vomiting 4. DS, stronger for high BMI people in 2 surgeries, more aggressive and more connction 5. SADI-S powerful surgery and only one single connect safe ,and long term
which is better sadi-s or mini bypass? Thx❤
Bypass 80% Sadi-s 90%
Dietary Fat is not the issue it NEVER has been the Issue its the damn carbs and SUGAR!
This doctor is SO HOT!
Can you just reroute the small intestines. And leave the stomach alone.
Not advised, it would cause less weight loss and significant diarrhea
