- Unboxing and review of the all new 2nd Generation Xiaomi Mi Box S. This is a Global version which Xiaomi recently launched across Europe. It boasts several exciting features like HDMI 2.1 and Bluetooth 5.2, Google TV, Dolby Atmos and DTS-X, HDR10+, Dolby Vision.
It's a minimalistic yet modern looking device with a matte black finish, and has the same rounded corners and unobtrusively flat profile as its predecessor. Talking about specs it supports:

Thanks for the explanation. Please answer this query - I have 2019 model TCL TV with HDMI ARC port, and JBL 9.1 with HDMI eARC port, also a Xiaomi Box 2nd Gen.
So if I connect an external hard drive (that has bluray rip movies of lossless Dolby Atmos TrueHD) to Xiaomi Box, which inturn will be connected to JBL 9.1, so will the sound output be lossless Dolby Atmos TrueHD ?

The Xiaomi Mi Box S doesn't support lossless audio. The only way to get lossless audio is by buying Nvidia Shield Tv Pro

I have all xiaomi boxex and they all have bugs but Mi box Gen 2 just is on another level. Is a BUG on itself !! Never seen something like that in my entire life !!
There is no setings that just work everywere is something broken. When it will be in BETA STATE that is the question.

Can it play bd remux file with dts or dolby atmos from external device ?
Yes it can play remux files just fine but doesn't support lossy audio which means both Dolby True HD and DTS HD-MA are not supported.

They should seriously upgrade to 3GB or 4GB RAM. The previous gen also "Supports" 4K, but starts hanging or stutter. Then i have to reduce quality to 1440p resolution. I have 100MB/s fibre which is more than enough to stream 4K. i can stream 4K on my computer using my 43" monitor without any issues. I don't trust the Gen 2 Xiaomi box will be capable of streaming 4K content from UA-cam without stutter. Nvidia shield doesn't have this issue, just because they have more RAM.
try running a 4k file from storage and see if it works.
Hello everyone..I'm having same tv box Mi box 2nd gen 2023 ..I'm trying to install apk .but when i click on the apk file it's start for just for 1 or 2 seconds and gone away..i tried many things which is available on internet but can't success..if anybody knows that plz help 😢

I bought Xiaomi tv box 2nd gen. I can’t receive Dolby digital/Atmos sound in my Bose soundbar. IT’s received only LPCM2.0. Sound settings I selected as auto . Please advise
Please make sure in Settings the audio is set to Passthrough
