The band he was playing with consisted of, a stand up base player, piano player, and one trumpet player. I was in a trance. My mother loved him. She passed at a very young age. I will always remember I was allowed to see B.B. King and dancing in the dining room with her. Rest in Peace Momma.

One thing I have determined is that we all have similar aspirations, but we have different cultures. We are all the same with differing abilities. BB King’s ability for music was astounding. He and Lucile could make me cry. But he was of the same race as this white guy.
Above all he was an extraordinary performer. He encapsulated the blues like nobody else. I sat next to his wife on her birthday in San Antonio years ago at Sunken Gardens. It was my birthday too. He just blew everyone away. Mere mortals can only genuflect and say thank you King

I've been listening to many other a fine Blues lately, both american and british. Suddenly coming across Lucille, B.B.King and his Band is getting caught by a snake charmer and storyteller in old Persia. I would not wink a brow if they flew off on the carpet after their set. Wonderful, thankyou 🌻:)

Blues Boy King also played his whole career with a crack band behind him. Some were with him over 40 years. Night after night after night playing the same tracks in the same keys. They could play all night long without even thinking about it. It was like any other professional for them all. Just another day at the office. What a way to make a living. He was worth some 250 million in his later days. RIP BBK.

His early 60's through late 70's (Kent Records era) backing bans kicked ass!. He featured a very tight brass section.😊😊😊

BB has always been my favorite bluesman. And he’s never afraid of letting the band do their thing, especially gives the bass player plenty of volume.

Anyone that was "one" with his guitar, was definitely B.B. King. His voice would roar like a jet engine. We have lost a true master of his craft.
