I never really got the blues - thought it was just 12 bars...repeat. But I really dig this fusion of chord subs and side-steps as you call them. Neat. Your left hand technique is really inspiring as is the right-hand chops. It all just fits together but more impressive to me is your head-on no BS flow. Crackin' and thanks.
Fantastic presentation, yes. But @circlemover blues guitar shares with flamenco guitar in that it is harmonically simply but loaded with subtleties like eastern trance music. I have played both styles. After listening to blues over 40 years I think the hardest style to cover is a one-chord blues with static harmony. You have to be a master of subtle variations and shading to get far without sounding like a noob.

Fantastic!!!
What is the six (?) chord sequence beginning at 22:53 please?
Ah yes, I didn’t put that in the lesson materials.. I was just riffing about. But that run was Eb6 (A shape) to Eb6/9 to Eb6 (C shape) then Ebmajor7 (C shape) 👍🏻
Why do the Ebmajor7 sound so acceptable within GMajor?
Because of the voice leading from the Eb6?
Is there another reason?
Please and thanks.
