Just in the process of striping, cleaning and refitting the carbs on my Dad's hornet which has been sat for about 10 years and this video has been unbelievable helpful. Excellent video and channel. Many thanks
Excellent again. Not sure how you would balance (1&2) - (3&4).... that li'l screw is buried so far up in there even a person from Japan (err, designers) would have a difficult time.... yeah, 1&2 and 3&4 screws are so easy.... then again, the 2003-2006 Hornets have the coils located on the frame, making it even more difficult to gain access to that center screw (1&2) to (3&4). Even the Haynes manual (showing a 1998-2002 model) even has the airbox removed.... the 1&2 and 3&4 are easy to balance, it's the (1&2) to (3&4) that are difficult - your excellent video missed that particular trauma. 🤫
Looks like a nice bike. What year is that one? Quite a pretty thing. But needs a few fasteners replacing to make it look good. Engine sounds sweet now.
I have 1 and it is driving me crazy. Starts fine. When starts to warm up it stalls and won t start. If it starts you have to keep it to 3000rpm to drive it
Thank you for sharing. I’ve just picked up a hornet F5. How much do you charge for the service that you’ve just done which might add was very educational more videos like this coming? I’m a new subscriber by the way
Looking for a 2006 engine guess the same as the video with 53k on the speedometer is that a prevention doing that job or if bike runs fine no needed at all? How much can cost a job like this? Thanks 👍👍👍 great work! ❤👍
If the carbs haven’t been balanced for a while it can make a lot of difference but if it ain’t broke don’t fix it 👍 A quick balance should only cost around 1hrs labour at a decent bike shop. A full strip and rebuild is around 4hrs.
Hi where do you connect the hoses too on the carbs when syncing? My bike (1998 cb600f) only running on the choke an was going to tackle this over the weekend Cheers👍

If the inlet rubbers are a good coating of red rubber grease and left for a few days it really helps to soften them up 👌🤘
Nice job. Running sweet now.
Steve greetings, excellent work.
Many thanks!

What year Hornet was it?
Are the throttle cables the same way on a 1999 cbr900..?
Didn’t I watch this last week?
Yeah sorry we had some issues and had to re-release it.
A brand new video will be coming out tomorrow 👍

Yes you need to connect to each carb in order to balance them
