....... I'm sceptical.
I know many survivors of horrid cruelties, I myself being abused starting when I was a baby lasting decades of various abuses.
Many of us turn inward & shake, cry, we would never strike out @ others to harm......we don't want others to hurt in any way, we don't want others to go thru anything like we did.
He likely had an egotistical possessive need to control.

Very well said. Most of us are self loathing and self sabotaging but those abusers create empaths. I’m from Alabama and that place and the people in it caused my trauma. Not all people there are bad just the ones I knew.
