At least with that bent arbor they're only dulling bout 3 teeth on the cutter at a time. Saves work.
you just don't understand - it's the new orbital cutting system like you find on jigsaws - allows you to take the full depth of cut in one pass to save measuring - I heard Abom79 & Kurtis from CEE are looking into this.
The arbor is running straight, the spacers have a different bore size.

What a load of shit, listen to the cutting action, it actually striking the material three teeth per rotation. Any properly trained machinist will tell you that’s when you know your cutter requires reshaping and sharpening OR the arbour is bent. Don’t sprout crap that you don’t understand.
The clapped out bearings in the overarm support probably aren't helping either.
I bet when they get a chip in their eye they go into a filthy bathroom and have a coworker dig it out with a rusty box cutter and a pair of needle nose pliers

Бегло, не отвлекаясь на стружку и всякое под ногами: ключ в патроне токарного, медный молоточек, высокоточное выставление отрезного по уровню центра оси, фиксатор резцедержателя, СОЖ, подручник точила, посадка напильником, кожух болгарки, тупое сверло на токарном (рычагом давит)... 4 минуты. Смотреть как фильм ужасов. Кстати! Будда есть и он их защищает, иначе непонятно, как они до взрослого возраста доживают, а главное, это потом работает!

I have serious doubts about the accuracy of the gear seeing how he establishes the teeth distance by estimation and a chalk.
But they are working hard with substandard equipment.
The result might work (or might not work)
The big guy seems to be using a lot of energy working AGAINST his lathe. With a little bit of education and appropriate tools he could effortlessly be fabbing better products, while working less hard.
I love watching these vids because it reminds me of the pre CNC days, but it gives me the creeps every time I see those long selves and dress length shirt tails around the chuck jaws. Lathes of that size can literally eat you alive but these guys seem to get the job done without getting killed. Maybe it's a case of ignorance is bliss.
The set up on the mill is kind of cool too gang cutting the sprockets but jeez. I have never seen a perfect arbor but that one is awful. They have a hydrophilic press, or at the least a couple of 4x4 and a beater. If he took out half that run-out out he would double the cutting speed and make the finish twice as good. That arbor is so far out its running like a fly cutter!
They srill get the job done and I'd hire any of them. - Their work ethic alone puts them ahead of 35 year old kids that I have has to fire and the younger ones are twice as bad. .....Hey, notice these guys don't try to work with a smart phone in one hand and a bottle of water in the other? , Maybe that's their secrete,
Don't forget, we can only see what they want us to. If someone was filming your workshop practices you wouldn't let them see them on their mobiles and you would make sure they are doing their best.

Calipers to tape measure for pitch diameter measurements ?!….. maybe it’s a vernier tape measure. But seriously, you have to respect the work ethic and dedication to working with substandard measuring instruments and equipment.
For a gear of this size it's enough.
All tolerances are less then 2 fingers.

4. Крепит резец за край, а не за середину.
5. Смотрит близко на деталь, но очков нет, (но это его дело безглазое)
6. Камнем, как неандерталец снимает облой!!!
