The Camry SE, the sporty variant, is above the LE trim. You can get the 3.5 NA V6 (301 HP) optional in the XLE/XSE/TRD. There's also a hybrid version of the Camry, where you can get from 45-50+ mpg (2.5L hybrid with the CVT).

In 2011 I bought my 2006 BMW 530i w/ 50K on it from my friends wife. She bought it new. I'm 2nd owner. I now have 100K on it and I've never had a problem with it. Always MAINTAINED and garaged !! It is still a 9 out of 10.. Still Showroom Perfect. People can't believe it is 18 years old. BTW, I'm 72 and have been a car nut since I was 6 years old.. I've owned over 40 vehicles so far. Currently searching for another old Porsche. Love your show Randy..
Two things regarding turbos and remote start, as well as checking Oil levels:
1. Europe has much more stringent pollution laws so they are forcing manufacturers to use turbo engines instead of big displacement engines to save on gas.
2. The remote starts are banned in many EU countries due to pollution, hence why they don’t put them in. You can always get an after market one.
3. Most modern BMW / Volkswagen cars do not have dip stick for checking oil. It’s all in the dash now

Randy, That 2021 Camry has an 8 speed transmission. Its a very good transmission. However, it does hunt for gears when going up hills but overall it is pretty good. No CVT at all. I think you should bid on it. Drive it a while, tint the windows and sell it. It will sell very quick. People love Toyotas. You would be surprise on how many Toyota fans out there. Im one of them!😊
@@MauiWauiPineappleExpress And the CVT is reliable for the hybrid version because Toyota was smart enough to use an internal chain instead of a belt.

I agree 100% about remote start should be standard on just about everything. I had an 05 Malibu that had remote start and it definitely was not a higher trim level model!
The majority of European cars do not come with remote start because it is actually illegal to have your car idling for periods of time over there, so that is one of th reasons BMW, Mercedes, etc do not come standard with it. Adding aftermarket remote start to these cars is also nearly impossible as well unless you sink tons of money into it as BMWs and other European brands use very high encryption (we are talking bank levels of encryption). The older BMWs with keys and / or fobs that you insert into the dash are easier to program and set up for remote start.

Randy, put all the BMW's in sport mode (buttons near the gearbox) and also put the gearbox in sport. EG for the F10 535i, it would start in second gear, not in first while in normal/confort mode.
Randy. I need you to redo the BMW video and put the car in sport mode. Your review is not fair. You drove the Cadillac on sports mode.
@@chyka2011 to be fair with Randy, he cannot know all the cars he tests, the manufacturer changes everything between two generations of models (eg F-series and F-series of the BMW 3-5-7 branch). He's not a car journalist, and in my opinion, he has a real knowledge of car industry, hats down, great work from him, and also very entertaining! Keep the great content but be careful with heat!
Every car in this generation has sports mode especially german vehicles
For future reference as long as the fob is in the car the driver side door will not lock unless the fob battery is dead most all of the newer cars have that safety feature so that doesn’t happen

Hey Randy, I have been using the DJI Mics for about 2 years now. There aren't any better mics on the market in that price point, in my opinion, and after 2 years of use they still work as well as the day I bought them. One thing that I would suggest is when you use them to use the safety channel or record directly into the transmitter so that if you have audio issues, you have a backup! But I know you've been getting your best video quality, and I will let you know (if you don't already, I didn't know until I started my journey into photography), unless you are actually planning on cropping or zooming into a video, there is going to be no difference between HD and 4K. The 4K just increases the amount of pixels in the frame so that if you want to crop in you are able to do it and still have a great image. However, with the type of filming you do, HD is perfectly fine. I'm no photography expert, but the bulk of my videos are drone videos, and I have learned that over the course of my UA-cam journey. I hope that helps!

I imagine most rentals are returned with full tanks because it is cheaper to fill it yourself than pay the rental company gas fee.

My work truck is a 2022 ford ranger and has terrible hesitation off the line! You can brake torque it to spool up the turbo and it helps with the take off, sport mode helps a little too!
The CT5 name is the result of Cadillac's new naming scheme, wherein the brand labels cars like sedans, coupes, and wagons with the CT moniker, followed by a number designating its “sequence” in the lineup.
Had a 21 Camry rental for a month, loved it. Perfect mix of comfort, space, performance and fuel economy.

That Volkswagen is a remote start suv so even though you dont see the starting button on the key fob it still can start the vehicle.

Glad to watch a video before the hurricane comes here to FL but i rather deal with a hurricane then earthquakes and disaster you get minutes or seconds to prep for atleast hurricanes you can prepare for days in advance
The Camry is indeed not an CVT, it has an Direct Shift 8-speed Automatic gearbox. Also be aware, you did not put the BMW in the Sports mode, what should made an pretty big difference

Love the Cadillac. The only downside to purchasing a rental is some of those types of cars are pushed hard. What I mean is people really don’t take care of them because they think it’s not their car. If I were in your shoes, I would really look into the Cadillac.

Hoovie just picked up a 2007 M6 with only 20,000 miles for only $27,000! Immaculate condition outside of a small ding. He's going to convert it to a manual. Beautiful car. There are still some great deals out there. He got his through a wholesale site. Good luck with your hunting!

A lot of the newer cars have remote start but you have to push the lock button 3 times especially on a VW and AUDI or you can put the physical key into the door hole and twist it 3 times

Stuck Hoods; hold the Hood Latch with your right Hand, reach out and using the base of your Palm on your left Hand, give the rear of the Hood a couple of thumps. It is usually enough to pop the Plunger/Latch and open the Hood... That is how we usually do it in the Panel Shop if the Hood sticks. Usually does the trick.
Please start doing back nissans I know that they have a cvt problem but if you service them right they would be okay

I have a BMW X3 3.0e X-drive M Sport as a company car. Fantastic on gas (petrol) and terrific to drive; I charge it nightly and fill the tank up once a month since most town/country commutes (45mph/80kmph or below) stay within the electric range (about 40km-50km, depending mostly on ambient temp). Plenty of luxurious amenities and extra's. The BMW driving experience is special. Long range, on the autoroute/highway, I've managed to get just under 6 liters per 100/km (about 39 mpg). Absent long haul drives, daily 50km roundtrip commutes average around 2.5l/100km (about 94mpg). I literally cut my gas consumption by 75%...a Godsend the past year.
As well, I've had a couple of 5-series sedans as company cars, over the years.
As long as the vehicle is on a lease with decent maintenance coverage...they are excellent cars. Great as a company car!
HOWEVER, the minute that warranty/lease goes away...RUN for the HILLS!!!!!!!
These cars are notoriously engineered to nail an owner to the door with expensive repairs...typically within minutes of a warranty expiration. Germans know exactly how to engineer and time the transition from a perfect dream to a perfect frigging nightmare.
The buy and own a hybrid for the long term...go Toyota/Lexus....period...full stop.

The VW Atlas has the same sheetmetal as the Audi Q7, different drivetrain. But yes a 4 cylinder is possible as well as a V6

The lag is likely more to do with the transmissions than the turbo. Put the bmw into sport mode or even use the launch control and I have no doubt it would absolutely surprise you, and blow the Cadillac out of the water. Even though the Cadillac launched well off the mark, it tapered off dramatically during the second stage of acceleration 20-60mph whereas the bmw really got going and built the speed progressively and quickly.
I wouldn't be shocked if the X3 was an ex rental. The big rental companies tend to dump their cars at about 60k miles, all of the BMW's are base models with only one or two options.
1080 is fine, I remember when we wished we had 1080!!!! I watch on 720p anyway!!!!
Hello Randy. The BMW 535i is a good looking car. The 2021 BMW X3 is a good looking SUV. The new audio and video and microphones do sound great.
Randy, that Cadillac CT5 would be nice to see on the channel. Plus, it would make a great roadtripping car to Indiana with all the comfort, features, and fuel economy.

It's 8spd automatic I have one It's been a good car mine is 2020 se awd with 53k miles. It's definitely better than the old body styles. Yes CVTs are horrible I won't buy anything with a CVT.. Thanks for the videos great job.
I have a 2022 Camry SE Nightshade already have 38k miles and still love it! It's not a CVT my wife has a 2023 Corolla Hatch that has a CVT definite difference

I agree with you on the newer Kia headlight and the new keep Cherokee headlights are ridiculous the aim high it’s just a head light and when you go to put your blinker on the headlight shuts off because they use the same housing so you can’t see where your turning it’s ridiculous

As far as rental companies, they usually will get rid of their nicer vehicles at lower mileage (bmw, Mercedes, land rover, cadillac). Around 30k is the sweet spot where they're worth the most, whereas most of the normal rental cars they'll keep til around 50-60k miles, possibly more
The X3 like most BMWs takes off in 2nd gear when in comfort mode. If you switch it to Sport mode it'll take off in 1st gear. That's the delay. It's going from 2nd to 1st.
My part of FL is only exspected to get tropical storm force conditions but may or may not lose power hopefully it wont track closer or make a crazy turn to the east as it goes by before its exspected to

BMWs won't even lock all the doors if a single door is open, regardless of fob. They've been that way for over 20 years. I'm sure there are exceptions. Also Randy that 535 you check the oil on the dash or am I mistaken?
My money would be on that Camry. Well made cars. If it goes cheap enough to make a flip buck. The CT5 looks amazing but how much is it? I'm guessing 25-30?

On that 5 series you looked at that motor has the single turbo n55 the previous generation n54 had the twin turbo
