- The VMXdN might just be the greatest Dirt Bike event on earth, and the 2022 edition potentially gave us the 2 Stroke MX race of the century! I hope this video provides the same feelings we felt at the track. Strap yourselves in and enjoy this wild ride! :-)
This was honestly one of the best weekends i've ever spent at a motocross track, and that's mostly thanks to you all of you guys who came over to say hello and have a chat about all things moto.
A big shout out has to go to Dave King and Doc Wob for putting on one of the greatest shows in our sport (vintage or otherwise).
And also a big thanks to all the riders for taking the time to talk with us and putting on one hell of a race - Ryan Villopoto, Mike Brown, Zach Osborne, Kurt Nicoll, Brad Anderson, Mel Pocock, Gordon Crockard, Neville Bradshaw, Graeme Irwin, Jake Nicholls, Elliott Banks-Browne, Bryan Mackenzie and everyone else!

@@robertscofield7845 When I started racing the go to oil was Castrol R vegetable based oil. The smell was really something special and still lingers in my memory, along with the sounds which were so different as there was no noise regulation. I rode only two strokes throughout the late 60's and the 70's; marques such as Greeves, Bultaco, AJS, Maico. The 1975/76 coffin tank Maico's were simply ear splitting at close proximity and the big 4 strokes also like BSA later to become available as CCM , these were good bikes indeed. The sound and smell of two strokes are just fantastic as everyone here agrees.😀
@@geoffhart53 Yeah! Castro! And you can’t just open your back door and go riding anymore… that’s why it’s struggling to survive, the bikes are astronomically advanced, but nowhere to ride like we did when we were kids… sad.

Great coverage Max. I went along on Sunday with my daughter and we saw you getting a sweat on filming the races. Respect to you for doing the hard work behind the camera as well, and then putting together such excellent videos. I know there's a lot of effort put into it. We wouldn't have gone on Sunday if I hadn't seen your RV interview on the Saturday morning - I haven't been to a meeting since the Matterley GP in 2016 (I think...) - but the VMXDN was an amazing event. My daughter is 10 and had never been to a race before but she can't wait to go again either now. Thanks very much.
Tim, this might just be the best thing i've read all day. Thanks so much for watching and i'm glad to hear that the sport has a new fan! :D It was definitely hot and dusty filming, but i wouldn't want to spend the weekend anywhere else to be honest!
Sick video, more solid coverage on moto races is always a plus for the sport, love it
IMO, this is now a separate sport, like freestyle was a separate sport. I would rather watch this than the pros today. This 2-stroke is still a better sport, even if it is new again. :)

It's nice to see Dust, Slick corners, No 300' long ruts. Proper MX track!!
I did not watch the vid yet, but the pic at the beginning of the vid, the track is as smooth a road race course.
Awesome stuff Max.....That last ride from Bradshaw was incredible. For blokes who hardly ride these days they still have that raw natural ability and speed. 2 strokes Rule!

There are more fans there than several of the USA nationals in 2022, and almost none have been at the MXGP's in places like Turkey, (which probably has more security than fans).

Mike Brown is a legend.
Always seen him at muddy creek in TN which is pretty local for him. He would always be a top contender for pro class, this was like 2010. Can’t believe he’s still in shape!

His one 125 ama title that a broken ‘Langston’ wheel handed to him, is hardly the thing of “legend”. He was an average “career” lites class guy at best. In other words, he was a mid race lapper in any premier class.

Don’t know how I missed this one lads tbh them yz250 are dangerous... went on my old mans cr500 98 before only time I ever rode a bike that big (crosser) n wow did my arms kill me even after 1 minute of been on the beast . had to hold on for dear life 😂 and I’m not exactly a small guy❤
