I had no idea Le Touquet was still running. Back in 1982 I bought a 490 Maico that had been built to run the beach race, (A&S Racing, Portsmouth UK) It had 63 bhp and weighed 243 lbs. Only MX/Enduro bike that ever scared me when riding in the woods .It was geared for about 130 mph, only ever had it over revving in top gear one time ,a firebreak that normally made front end get a bit light , flat out was about 40 ft in the air. I thought I was never coming down and had plenty of time to think what would happen if I missed the sheep track and landed in the gorse, At 'altitude' the track looked like a pencil line on the ground (probably 3ft wide though) Took it home and fitted standard motocross gearing, about 85mph max seemed so much safer
Once you ve been there you will never forget the scene during the start. Something between the trumpets of Jericho and the Riders of the Apocalypse! Gives ne instant chills!
For sure. I’m exhausted just watching them for ten minutes. I would be “hungover” for days after. Don’t ask me for anything and someone please load my bike for me lol
I love it ! At 6:50, after rounding a corner, the camera is angled so you are looking at the riders from behind, and all you can see is every bike throwing roost, you can hardly see then riders for all the roost being thrown up !
The way those guys sit on the bike is exactly how my dad did. He taught me to keep the front end light, sit over the rear axle and don't over correct and throttle wide open.great video
Good day to you! I am a grandpa rider on HONDA motorcycle from Japan. Enjoying camping ,touring and upload video. Your PDC video is so nice! Awesome! Full supported ! Have a nice day my friend!
Yes it's in France.. i went there in 2010 from uk ,and couldn't find anywhere to park ! So i got back in my car and drove to the nurburgring and had a great weekend there instead 😄
Unbelievable , need more races like this in OZ. Great riding by the bloke making others look like theyre standing idle. GreT spectacle for the punters in the crowd
Fastest I saw was 157kph. That is just shy of 100mph. I seem to remember a record set by a KTM 495 2 stroke of about 128mph in Baja or somewhere. I am not sure if anyone has beaten that speed.
I was wondering that same thing. Seems like this track could be somewhat compatible with older bikes. That whoop section wouldn't be so good for an old machine, but seems like everything else could be done. (To me anyway)
I believe that I know the way you handled a bike and those technique you've mastered. I'm Rolando Idaño dreaming like you 🧐,,,, I love you brother!!!!!
Imagine it for 3hrs... being a pro, trying to win, getting tired, risk of fall because of shit condition and sand, worrying about competition, potential engine probleme, riding as fast as you can and having to care and be super careful with these 900 other amator rider than you have to pass always asap for 2h50 of race... because dont mistake out of 1000 riders, 100 are professional and here for the win and are super fast, the rest are amators here to complete the challenge of trying to finish that race. Every single amators are completdly inpredictable and could ruin your race so quickly cause they dont see you coming super fast behind them... such a cool race. Between pro and amators, that the beauty of that race

Well laid out course
Thank you for posting this
All the best
From America
The Brazilian have some similar...they call it Velocross
Good to hear that
The exhaust fumes for the guys sitting in the middle of the pack waiting for the start must have been epic.
Awesome riding by Todd Kellett No2 and he wins it by 2.5 minutes. Such control and speed 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
This is an awesome race, I've never seen or heard of this race here in the US. I love the straight away. Those guys are flying through there !
You’ve never seen or heard of an enduro race in America??? Wow
The Mx touring
Yeah this is new to me
How fast can they drive their bikes.?

As an American that loves outdoor motocross and supercross. This race is epic to watch! Very cool watching them rip down the beach wide open!
yep straight away speeds look to be 95-110mph on the factory support bikes . . .
Dude what is this race this is awesome. Wish we had something like this in the US

You’ve gotta be in incredible shape physically, mentally and one hell of a bike crew ⚡️⚡️🔱

I live in San Diego California born and raised so I'm used to the Baja 1000. Guys like Mouse are my favorites. Surf bike Brink rinse-and-repeat
weird how guy out-front actually looked pretty relaxed.................
What a great footage from the helicopter! 👍👍👍👏👏👏
Same as "Enduro del Verano" in Argentina. Amazing races!!! Love Enduro ❤️

Такого я ещё не видел! Крутая пляжная гонка!
старт прикольный
Потом песок доставать будешь даже там, где его быть не должно ))))
Да интересная гонка😀
Согласен и гонка и трасса, крутые!

That is some crazy high speed for those 450s
those at the front on 450cc 4-stroke-weapons I reckon, fantastic footage, grazie mille

2 stroke tenor
4 stroke baritone!
Couldn't be better!
Has to be one if the most tiring endurance events on the planet. The way the elites blow past lapped traffic is incredible.
This is the most beautiful motor race I watched.
Haven't you seen this year's video....
As a Yamaha fan, seeing two of them run the pack made me happy.
Honda rules over here
2 minutes on full throttle, that’s a long assed start straight.
My best well spent 15 minutes in 2023 already, was here.

This is one of the most insane things I've ever seen!
As an American MX rider, this looks absolutely amazing and like the most fun thing we need to start doing over here
That amount of bikes in the same race, never seen this before, now that's how I like to ride 😅

factory bikes vs everything else
Holy crap! I don't know who Kellett is, but he dominated this race. Absolute confidence
The photography is spectacular in this race.
Awesome riding by kellett .... I love it....
There’s something beautiful about this kind of racing. They definitely don’t do this in the US but should
Isn't this basic a hare scramble? Without the trees haha.
They have hard Enduro races here. Along with mx endurance races.
Guys ive been SETRA since 1985 and raced in 9 states. We dont do a beach of 90 mph mayhem for what seems like miles
Wish we had something like this in Australia! Would be great to ride!
This is nuts!! Imagine the sound in real life 🤯
This is wild! Amazing to navigate through all those riders

I used to ride at 7 years old, I miss it a lot.
Something about those Yamahas, they are of another breed altogether. I love it. I’m buying new 2024 wr450, hope it’s great too.
