@Pos3id0n it would literally just be clicking attack move and watching lines of guys be gunned down by machine guns. Trench warfare is not about strategy or manoeuvre, its just purely about numbers and willpower to suffer casualties
Interesting, just like the last video between these two factions it shows that modern tactics have evolved to become far more effective and reliable then the traditional methods. The majority of the conflict was in the crater where advance weapons and ammunition was used against a magically infused army and they still dealt great amounts of damage before the rats even came anywhere close to the trenches.
Actually if he would have used "traditional techniques" he might have saved his infantry, which got whipped out leading a charge with the tanks hanging back doing little. Artillery first, (since theres no air power for him to use) then tanks with infantry protecting them. No need to just send your infantry without protection all alone into the hordes, lost cause. Tactically it gets a D. Makes for a great video though.
@@MrSneaksful that is very true! 🤔if they used more modern tactics they could have saved more of their soldiers. Overall they unnecessarily lost many of their troops doing infantry charge then if they sent the tanks in with infantry following. Plus the tanks would have done better if they were moving more to make it harder to hit them.
@@MrSneaksful I agree. That was some kind of ancient hand to hand combat tactics. Modern/WW1 would have dug defensive positions, not built defensive positions that can be blown up and provide no protection from shrapnel. If the infantry could have been sent out, but only to fix the position of the enemy for the artillery to kill. Why did the enemy attack head on when they could have flanked those defenses? Whichever side used it's artillery would have won without taking much loss. If both, it would have been an artillery battle.

Ahm...so...I don't know how I should break this to you but we (the Central Powers) lost the first world war partially due to Germany's aggressiveness and shortsightedness (attacking Belgium, sinking an American transport).
