I've been an AVGN fan since almost the beginning. My cousin showed me the TMNT video at school shortly after it came out. I've always loved your content James and AVGN has been a big part of me and my brothers lives. After watching most (not all) of your content I feel like this episode is you coming full circle. All the lore and reviews you've done up to this point, and the love and shit you've thrown at it are encompassed in the AVGN game. Your still making great content that I enjoy but, this video was essentially the very peak for me in regards to your development as an internet celebrity. I love it, thanks for everything man :)

Ya...I didn't know 'Thy Flesh Consumed' was the official fourth episode to doom 1 (I know where have I been for eons.) So I go to play it and its freaking impossible!!! Level design is cool looking but makes no sense. It's just an excuse to dangle you over acid while everything throws projectiles at you. You die by projectile, or the acid. The only way to play it is to discover all the secret doors and such with god mode. Then try playing it for real. PS Ultra violence only or go home. I'll never do the wimpy easy versions.
After all the years since I made those games for you James, it touches my heart to see something like this. Though I apologize for Game Over 1's instability (It was my first game), I'm glad it and Game Over 2 still got your approval. Since then, I've gotten into the entertainment industry as a 3D animator and am also leading a small team into my first, commercial indie-game production on the side. It was also on the Wii U virtual console. I wish I bought it 2 years ago, then again I didn't get into avgn until last year. Thankfully after I saw this episode, I got it on the 3ds. Excellent game.
There's one thing that could have made AVGN Adventures even better. After defeating Fred Fucks, the screen goes black. A message would be displayed across the screen, reading "To Landing Sequence". If you fail to land the plane on the air craft carrier, you must go all the way back to the beginning of the Laughing Joking Numbnuts level.
I have an idea for the next AVGN game. The Nerd goes on an absolute rampage, because some business butthole decided to use all of his money to bring back LJN. So, Nerd goes off to send LJN back to hell once and for all.
I watched that episode the other day. Hearing his idea made me want to make it just because. His reaction to it was fantastic. Satisfying.. like drinking a cold beer after getting a flawless victory against a notoriously hard boss.
Definitely the BEST episode in quite some time. When I first saw this in my subscription box, I was skeptical: I figured it would be hard to make jokes about fan-made games without sounding like an asshole to the fans who spent a lot of time making them, and I was worried that the AVGN Adventures part was either going to be a giant commercial or feel forced. I was especially worried because, to be honest, I haven't entirely been on board with a lot of the recent episodes. But I must say, you handled everything very well and this is the closest we've gotten in a while to the old AVGN feel. Great video, James.
I feel like his episodes have steadily been getting better since he came back from doing the movie. It's true that the episodes aren't of the same quality of the older ones, but they've gotten better in my opinion. This was probably his best and most entertaining in a while.
I had just woken up from a dream where James posted a new AVGN and it was the worst episode I'd ever seen. It was so weird to wake up to see one uploaded and it was the best episode in months.

At first I thought Angry *Nintendo* Nerd was just an over the top ridiculous thing, but then I started to find fun how exaggerated his critics are, and sometimes rightfully. However you all need to give props for one thing: James Rolfe *never changed his style.* Unlike many UA-camrs he never fell to fads or sudden changes in the way he does his videos (like swearing less or having a less crude and vulgar humor) to earn more subscribers and that's something really impressive considering how many people loves the Angry Video Game Nerd. I do hope he continues this series as much as he can since it's one of the best video series of UA-cam. Anyway I'm looking forward to the movie. Best of luck there.

I recently played that AVGN vs Dr. Wily, it's pretty great if you can get by some parts being somewhere between tedious and outright impossible. Same romhacker created a new romhack in April for aLttP too, called AVGN vs Ganon. It looks good, it mainly just tweaks health and damage values but it's aim seemed more dialogue parody based in nature.

When I first saw this in my subscription box, I was skeptical: I figured it would be hard to make jokes about fan-made games without sounding like an asshole to the fans who spent a lot of time making them, and I was worried that the AVGN Adventures part was either going to be a giant commercial or feel forced. I was especially worried because, to be honest, I haven't entirely been on board with a lot of the recent episodes. But I must say, you handled everything very well and this is the closest we've gotten in a while to the old AVGN feel. Great video, James.
I feel like his episodes have steadily been getting better since he came back from doing the movie. It's true that the episodes aren't of the same quality of the older ones, but they've gotten better in my opinion. This was probably his best and most entertaining in a while.
I had just woken up from a dream where James posted a new AVGN and it was the worst episode I'd ever seen. It was so weird to wake up to see one uploaded and it was the best episode in months.

The best part was the appearance of Board James and the fact that AVGN the character has no idea who Mike even is. Further showing the difference between James Rolfe's 4 different personas (James himself, the AVGN, The Bullshit Man, and Board James)/

At first I thought Angry *Nintendo* Nerd was just an over the top ridiculous thing, but then I started to find fun how exaggerated his critics are, and sometimes rightfully.
However you all need to give props for one thing: James Rolfe *never changed his style.* Unlike many UA-camrs he never fell to fads or sudden changes in the way he does his videos (like swearing less or having a less crude and vulgar humor) to earn more subscribers and that's something really impressive considering how many people loves the Angry Video Game Nerd.
I do hope he continues this series as much as he can since it's one of the best video series of UA-cam.
Anyway I'm looking forward to the movie. Best of luck there.

I've seen a lot of adjectives applied to the AVGN, but I dare say I never could have expected to see a guy who makes his living by filling UA-cam videos with as many childish swear words and toilet jokes as he can described as "respectable".
This was so obviously made as an advertisement for AVGN Adventures.

I recently played that AVGN vs Dr. Wily, it's pretty great if you can get by some parts being somewhere between tedious and outright impossible. Same romhacker created a new romhack in April for aLttP too, called AVGN vs Ganon. It looks good, it mainly just tweaks health and damage values but it's aim seemed more dialogue parody based in nature.

And then it hit me. Mike never appeared in an AVGN episode as himself. The NERD never met him. GENIUS.
Mike appears as a stunt double in an AVGN video from December 2014 that features a scene making fun of an unorthodox means of switching between characters.
I didn't know there was so many games about Nerd, before this episode.
