Great video! Helped me a ton with my braking technique. What is your view on using the joint brakes option in rider aids? Is it helpful or does it lose a lot of time and make handling under braking even more sketchier?
One thing that’s nice in MotoGP 22 is you can adjust the function of your buttons in the Control Config menu. This lets you to limit the input of your rear brake button to 50%, allowing you to ride it through corners. Turning is such a dream with that. Ride 4 is still worth playing with the variety of bikes and tracks though. Career is pretty good too
@@filthyscorpion if you don’t limit the rear brake button, the rear brake will engage 100% when you hit it. Stepping on it like that usually locks up the rear tire causing a crash. You can tap the button repeatedly in Ride 4 to keep it only slightly engaged, but that’s harder and less realistic than limiting the button in GP22. Like I said, you can just ride the rear brake around a corner with that.

@Bert Scrogshaw Definitely use manual tuck in you will be so much quicker mate. I have the X button or in your case for Xbox the A button as the tuck in. I find it very comfortable there 👍🏻
I have never palyed a motorcycle simulator before and the braking and positioning is quite hard for me,but everything have a first time i guess gotta git gud
So how guys you all learned and become pro??? were you'll playing from first games??? were first games teach how to play this game and know they expect everyone know how to play. How can i become better in this????
I’ve been playing bike games for years so I’m already very used to the racing and the feeling of the bikes. The biggest difference to learn is that it’s not a car game so you need to learn the braking and the turning all over again. Everything is much earlier, from turning in and braking. Just take your time it and you’ll get there. I have a few guides on the channel that may help 👍🏻👍🏻
Very informative guide. I been struggling to beat the AI even on "Very easy" this has certainly helped. Are you going to be making a series in this covering all aspect of racing round a track? *edit I highly recommend everyone use simulation physics as although it maybe harder at first you get more fine tuned control of the bike. Which will lead to you becoming a better rider.
Thanks Connor! I'm super pleased to hear that this has helped!! If that's something you would like to see me cover I'll gladly oblige. Anything in particular you would like to see next?
What settings you have enabled, or tips on using a controller as my acceleration and steering seems to be all or nothing. I currently use the full trajectory line. But I feel like I'm relying on that rather than learning when to brake.
@@connoradams944 I always use Traction control at level 1, Engine break at 3 and Anti wheelie at 2. Full simulation handling with ABS turned off etc. I heard that the full racing line isn’t very accurate. Perhaps you could lower it down to corners only mate?
Have you got any tips on preserving tyres? (not pushing as hard etc) On most 5 lap races I end with 15% on the front and 25% on the rear. (that with trying to preserve them in the middle laps
Great video!! I have a question: the downshifting is also important for breaking?? There's a way to downshift the gears that allow to you to breake harder?? I'm telling this because i have a bad problem with the breaking in this game. Very often when i brake i go straight 'cause i can't brake too hard to stop me. I've tried everything (downshifting the gears in more ways, put the breaking in hard in the set up of the bike, moved the left analogic stick down to have more stability of tye bike, used clutch) but nothing. Very often the bike's rpm go down very slow and as a consequence the bike doesn't stop well. I don't use the rear brake for breaking because i don't like use it and for the bike's stability during the breaking. In few words: which is the way to stop the bike well and even during the hard breaking? One exhample? Donington turn 11 after the charge of directions (turn 9-10) i can't stop the bike with the front brake
Hi mate, I would definitley advise to brake earlier than normal. I would aslo recommed using a bit of rear brake hear and there it's very important to scrub off additional speed. The downshfiting is important if you're going trying to really increase your lap times but isn't totally neccesary. In the sense of just improving bike handling I would suggest that you don't use downshifting just yet. Only bring it in when you're comfortable. Hope this has helped mate :D
@@DrAce46 thanks a lot for the help and for the answer. It helped me a lot when i tried before. I apreciate it. And yeah, i think that the clean ride is the perfect way to ride the bikes in this game for me. A totaly an other world respect the others Ride (of which i was very aggressive, maybe too much something).
@@DrAce46 by the way, I may have a problem with my old Xbox One controller, with the RT button. It feels as though it only uses 99% of the trigger. The bikes get to their top speed normally with WASD. But when trying it with the controller, it only uses 99% of the bike's power and stops at, for example, 200 kmh with the stock KTM Duke in the european challenge starting race instead of 230+ kmh. Do you know how I could fix it?
Most new people neglect the rear brake? Shit, I’ve been using the rear brake exclusively. I have a fear of falling over the handlebars 😅 Heavy into car racing sims, but have not idea what I’m doing with bikes, just recently started getting into them and bought Ride 4. I’m really liking the game, but I’m shockingly bad 😂
@@DrAce46 Quick question. In your other video you show the left analog stick working full time to position the weight. I tried that, but when I’m pushing the stick up, my top speed drops and my lap times are now 10 second slower. Any idea why that is? Is it because I have assists on?
@@DrAce46never mind, think I got it. I had automatic tuck in, so I guess the weight transfer from the analog stick overrides auto tuck, whereas it doesn’t for manual tuck controls.
I got up too 100% ai difficulty and I can beat them by like 3/4 seconds… I’ve tried a controller and everything is so much smoother and there is more consistency due to half throttle and half brake especially on realistic. I wonder if there’s and easier way to play on mouse and keyboard because my pace is alright but I am not smooth and time trials are a nightmare
So for you, what is the utility of the rear brake? I have found that it helps to tap it for pointing the bike to where you want to go by causing a controlled oversteer, but it usually is when your speed entry is above the desired one. Maybe a qualy lap. Do you find it useful to shift the riders weight for heavy breaking? I play in 110% very hard, 67% and helmet CAM. Currently level 201, and just now getting through ride 4 UA-cam tutorials to up my game. Thanks.
I use the rear brake aggressively when under heavy braking. Such as turn 1 for Nurburgring. If it’s a small correction i’ll tap the rear brake just enough to slow down and correct the understeer
I just downloaded this game tonight and I am learning still... I have the settings set so rider position is automatic and also I use only one brake and game applies both. Is this wrong way to play it?
They call this game realistic while a bycicle has better brake then the motorcycles in this game. Is there something wrong with my game or why is that when I go straight around 40-50km/h and press front brake as hard as I can It takes at least 5 secounds to stop. Its so weak that I can't even descirbe it. Its really REALLY bad. Please help me if I'm wrong.

Brill, it’s a good result after all then 😃 hope your friend enjoys the game. If you both have any questions just drop me a message 👍🏻
You predict your overtake 3 corners before it happens? Get a load of Mystic Mac over here
Haha I could tell he was slower into turn 10 🔥 calculated move
Thanks for the tips. on what circumstances should I tuck in?
No problem! I hope you enjoyed. I recommend tucking in the same time you can open the throttle coming out of the corner. When the bike is almost stood up at straight 👍🏻
Yeah it will take time to improve 👍🏻
can you do a video on how to stay tighter to the corner? i dont understand the analog stick lean angles
Hey mate best thing I can suggest is to watch my handcam videos, I explain how to use the analogue stick in much more detail there 👍🏻
IME if i were to have tried that overtaking maneuver, Bjorn would've crashed into me and run me off the road by refusing to move out of his line
Yeah the AI can be finicky sometimes and good overtaking requires a bit of practice 👍🏻
Real men dont use brakes (kidding)😂 i improve a lot cuz of this video, been playing for 8months😊
Happy to have helped 😄
🤝🏾good stuff
Thank you! 🔥
So maybe having the joined brakes option on is what’s screwing my braking up?
I would definitely say so mate
So how guys you all learned and become pro??? were you'll playing from first games??? were first games teach how to play this game and know they expect everyone know how to
play.
Just got this game last week and omg is it hard. I’ve been riding doe a number of years and it’s much easier in real life than this game.
It will take some getting used to if you've played car racing games before, key parts are to brake much earlier and be very gentle with the controls
Very informative guide. I been struggling to beat the AI even on "Very easy" this has certainly helped. Are you going to be making a series in this covering all aspect of racing round a track?
*edit
I highly recommend everyone use simulation physics as although it maybe harder at first you get more fine tuned control of the bike.
Did even realise there was anti wheel and traction settings. They should really add a tutorial to the game.
Have you got any tips on preserving tyres? (not pushing as hard etc) On most 5 lap races I end with 15% on the front and 25% on the rear. (that with trying to preserve them in the middle laps
I see why this game isn’t popular
This game is harder than just going to ur local track with ur bike
so we should have the gamepad with sensitive trigger? like hall effect one?
That's up to you, I'm just using a standard controller
I saw you use the rear brake just when the bike was downshifting in turn 8.
Is that how you did it?
Yeah I use a lot of rear brake 👍🏻
@@DrAce46 cool cool!
So the rear brake in the downshift is supposed to use a lot of its power without actually having problems with it?
@@DrAce46 by the way, I may have a problem with my old Xbox One controller, with the RT button.
It feels as though it only uses 99% of the trigger.
The bikes get to their top speed normally with WASD.
But when trying it with the controller, it only uses 99% of the bike's power and stops at, for example, 200 kmh with the stock KTM Duke in the european challenge starting race instead of 230+ kmh.
Do you know how I could fix it?
how but the speed in entering the corner, how fast according to the corner angle
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Ere is the rumble strips come from? We call it the curb here in Liverpool.
Rumble strip is the name I grew up with commentators saying, it’s still the same as curb
@@DrAce46 La, it is totaly fine. Very good sounding word actually. Where are you from?
Warrington mate, not that far away from yourself 👍🏻
@@DrAce46 No way la. Very cool. Small word.
Is this different for advanced and simulation?
I think advanced give more assistance on the brakes but to be honest I only play on Realstic so I’m not too sure on the lower simulation difficulties.
Keep practicing mate, It will come 🔥🔥🔥
@@DrAce46 Quick question.
How do you get the bikes to pull max revs in top gear never mind braking…lol
Try reducing your TCS if it’s not working 👍🏻
@@DrAce46 Ty I will try that
How do you know when to brake? And how do you know how much to brake?
Understanding the bike, the track and the conditions is important to knowing when to brake and how much to apply
How you bend the body during each turn ??
The rider leans automatically
I love this game, but i suck at it..
What are you struggling with pal? I have more guides if you need them. Happy to lend some advice if you want
I wouldn’t ever recommend using mouse and keyboard, they’re just simply isn’t enough control over the bike. Stick to controller mate 👍🏻
How do you get rid of the racing line, like how you did?
It’s in riding aids
@@DrAce46 Oh thanks!
Should I be playing without abs?
Entirely up to you, try both and see which you prefer 👍🏻
I didnt realize rear brake was seperate holy shit
HELP! PLEASE!!! Six hours trying to get past the first three events. Ready to through this game in the trash!
What are you struggling with? I have numerous guides on my channel to help newcomers 👍🏻
I just downloaded this game tonight and I am learning still... I have the settings set so rider position is automatic and also I use only one brake and game applies both. Is this wrong way to play it?
Hi mate, there’s no right or wrong way really, it’s just preference. However I would recommend using separate brakes to learn the bikes etc 👍🏻
I still clearing ride 4 registration exam 🥲🥲
No rush mate 👍🏻👍🏻
do your exam and earning motorbike licence in real life!
I'm playing on PS5, I'm having issues with the actual turning, like the thumbstick isn't responsive or has a delay or some shit.
It could be that there is input lag, try chaining the settings on the tv mate
@@DrAce46 That worked, thank you very much.
@@iamthestormthatisapproachi5349 no problem 👍🏻👍🏻
I’ve been riding real bikes for a while now and I just can’t get my head around the Ride games 😂 I’m shockingly bad
Give it time mate, it can be quite tough to get used to.
Has anyone tried a joystick for this game?
I might get out the old sidewinder try and get it to work.😂
im always frustated why the ai was glide so easily in corner while my bike cant even turn easily
Depends what bike you are using and if the brakes have been updated. Try upgrading the bikes to see if that feels better 👍🏻
Is this harder than GP21???
No it’s a bit easier I would say
I don't understand how you go from leaning back in the seat to leaning forward 2:10 if I lean back and go into a turn, I low side immediately. Controllers are terrible for this game lol
You must be carrying to much speed on trail braking too much in the corner.
@@DrAce46 Ahh thanks. I think I'll just go back to riding without fwd/bwk leaning. It's too ridiculous.
What simulation settings are using mate?
@@DrAce46 Realistic mode :)

Of course!! It's a beauty!!!
@@DrAce46 am so happy they finally added that bike by far the best looking fireblade, and they added the Suzuki gsxs750 finally! My next bike will either be that or a street triple r, also time attack in this game is so ruthless i don't know why they changed it for xD
@@LordShaxx_ I totally agree!! It really is the best looking fireblade! It still looks modern for today’s standards too.
Wow you lucky bugger 😂 you have to pick the Street Triple R! It’s gorgeous
@@DrAce46 i was adamant in the gsxs750 but after seeing that triple I'd be a fool not to go for it, I've requested a test ride for both bikes and luckily enough there's a triumph dealer in Cardiff so after this lockdown crap am hoping to finally jump on one..... i passed my full license 3 days ago and I've put requests in everywhere xD.would you be willing to do a series of the finer details of the game?
