- Norah O'Donnell has been an important part of our CBS This Morning family for nearly seven years. She's asked tough questions, headed into disaster zones, given survivors a voice, and shared the stories of people around the world. We've also shared laughs and countless cups of coffee with her at the table. This morning, after two- thousand- four- hundred- and forty days, we are saying goodbye as she heads off to the CBS Evening News.
2022: Imagine being so unpalatable (and in person, obnoxious) and distrusted that you come in third in the Nielsen ratings behind David ("Do You Like My Hair?") Muir and the Human Fire Alarm, the unspeakably shrill and hyperbolic Lester Holt.

Norah O’Donnell is my favorite national news anchor
too bad nobody else feels that way---the CBS Evening News has been in 3rd place for as long as she's been there. The CBS brass actually tried to hire that disgraced NBC/MSNBC anchor Brian Williams to replace her but he refused (twice). O'Donnell was kept on because she accepted a massive pay cut to keep her job.

It's all about the ratings but she has paid her dues and has done a commendable job as C.B.S. evening anchor. It was the right move on the part of management.

Jeff Glor was better-far better--he came across as more professional and personal--O'Donnell--not so much at all
