I use this video almost every time I have a panic attack in the middle of the night! Which can sometimes be quite a lot! Even just hearing the first sentence of this video can help calm me down, as I know by the end of this video, 90% of the time I start to feel better or in a calmer state. Thank you so much for this video, I wish I’d found it at the start of me getting anxiety and not years down the line!

Just discovered your Instagram which lead me to your UA-cam Chanel. I am so glad to have discovered you! My situation is very similar to yours, a couple of years ago I was very poorly with panic & depersonalisation and also stopped driving. I am a lot better now and in university and diving again. I'm also much better at talking myself down from panic episodes... I love the the last point you make about giving yourself loving thoughts, that's such brilliant idea... I will be trying that!.... I wish I didn't live in the UK... I'd love to come to your yoga classes!... Best wishes and thank you for your helpful posts xxx

I'm currently living in a foreign country, on the other side of the ocean from my family and friends. Last night I woke up in the middle of the night hit by a panic attack. I was alone and afraid. Just had to come back and say thank you so much for posting this. The advice was helpful and your calm voice and demeanor got me through.

The one thing that makes my panic attack get worse is my heart beat and chest hurting lmao I usually think what you said “omg I’m having a heart attack”or “I’m gonna die” but hearing you say that I’m not the only one that thinks that and that it is a completely normal response made me feel soooo much better, I’m definitely gonna save this for next time! thank you soo much !!

hi Malia! i’m not sure if you’re reading these comments anymore but i still wanted to leave one and say thank you so so much for this video. i have an anxiety disorder and recently developed a panic disorder as well with everything going on in the world right now. the fear and physical symptoms have been debilitating but using your advice just helped me through one of the worst attacks i’ve had!! i’m going to keep going and working through them like this - you’re truly a life saver! i hope you’re doing well and staying healthy, thank you again ☺️💗

Your comment about being kind to yourself and sending loving messages to yourself made something snap in me and I broke down on the subway and just started to ugly cry. I didn’t realize how mean I am to myself just telling myself that I am sweet and kind and loved and loving made me feel so much better. The panic stopped and I felt so loved. Thank you for this.

You are so sweet! I have suffered with panic attacks most of my life. It’s hard to talk myself down out of a panic attack. Sometimes it’s easier than others. But I love how you incorporate loving self talk. I need to do that more (and more in general).

I have been having a panic attack on and off every 10 minutes for 2 entire days now. I went to the hospital yesterday because I thought for sure I was dying, they didn't take me in because they were too busy but they did an ekg and it was fine. I had a traumatic event happen that started the panic attack episodes, I had an accidental fentanyl overdose that completely rocked my world. I cant stop having very real panic attacks since then, I feel like I'm going to pass out/black out, go crazy, die, have a brain aneurism, etc. I have extreme flushes of hot throughout my body and tingling from my head to my feet, I feel light headed, I feel insane. I'm still kind of in the panic attacks right now, but this video actually really helped me feel better, at least feel like ok other people deal with this too. It helped to hear that you have the same type of symptoms, and the coping skills you talked about did help too. I dont know if they are going to stop but I can at least hopefully control them better and get them to stop quicker. Thanks for making this video and getting me to focus on something different for at least a few minutes. Please send me good vibes that these attacks will stop soon, I'm really struggling bad right now.

I know this helps me a lot but it's temporary, I could have one when there's trigger like hear people have horrible disease and stuff so they can give you somatic symptoms which is lead to having blown panic attack

  • @luxaflame

I've been watching your videos and it's very comforting to be able to relate to them so much because sometimes going through anxiety and DP/DR can make you feel so alone. I have a question, sometimes whilst experiencing DP/DR I get a sensation that I don't know where I am/who I am, if that makes sense. Rationally, I know, and I try to repeat to myself the facts I do know (where I am, who I am) but it's just a sensation that I don't know where I am and it's very scary and definitely makes me feel like I'm going crazy haha. Anyways, even if you can't reply to this, thank you for making these videos, you are helping people and that's great!

luxaflame Hey, feeling as if you don’t know where you are or who you are are all normal symptoms of Depersonalization. The more adrenaline pumped into your blood during a panic attack, your brain starts to go into over drive. Detaching you more and more until you feel like your getting sucked into a different realm. During panic attack’s our reason and logic shut off and we react based on our feelings. YOU ARE OKAY, YOU WILL NOT FORGET WHERE YOU ARE OR WHO YOU ARE. and YOU WILL NOT LOSE COMPLETE SENSE OF REALITY. I️ love you, stay strong! message me on instagram if you need to talk to someone @TikaDeGallo

I feel like it doesn't apply to me. My panic attacks are currently from things that are activly happening now, e.g. losing my job, might lose my appartment, not having money for gas to get to job interviews, having two cats I have to support because I love them and they are the only reason I have to stay alive. I try to bring myself to the here and now, and it just gets harder to breath because because I have no answers, and I can plan, and plan, and plan, but none of it is helpful until I have a paycheck that keeps a roof over their heads and food in their bowls.

I use a lot of these steps most of the time I can feel it coming the adrenaline starts and I know immediately it’s happening of course so I make a choice I either let it take control or I take control of it and I can usually self talk it down in seconds but I have rare occasions where it is bad and self talk helps but it still happens something els I found that helps 100% is my husband he naturally has a faster heart rate so I let him know he lays down with me I lay my head on his chest and listen to his fast heart rate and think ok I will be ok his heart is beating fast to that comfort helps me a lot I just had back to back attacks and the first time I laid on my husband it was gone in a few mins then about 5 mins pass and another hits so I repeat the steps laid on his chest and self talk in my mind reminded myself that I did know what this was I had had them before and I will be ok even tho those waves of adrenaline and fear were surfaced every few mins anyway the second attack lasted about the same a few mins the very first attack I had last almost 2 hours talk about terrifying I went to the hospital heart rate was at 180 it was SCARY and I told myself I would never let it take control of me like that again and since I’ve never had one that bad I don’t have them often but when I do it’s usually 2-3 of them in about 30 min time span to 45 min time span they are manageable and we absolutely have control this was a great video love it!!!!
