Such nice and easy to understand options from your channel. ^-^ hope the constant is still tereating you well, even if the dreading thing they call a boat still gets in your way.
Not how I would've phrased such a statement however I cannot sit here and NOT agree with it friend, you're definitely on the right train of thought to actually making all this stuff matter.
There is one in another dimension. It's called shipwrecked and it's BEAUTIFUL. When I first heard that ocean was getting an update in DST I thought whey were adding the dlc stuff to the game. If they hadn't started like this, things would have felt better but now klei is in too deep. Even if they wanted to change sailing to the core it's already too late.
The Beard 777 I have been thinking about the single man boat like in shipwreck and how they could work well in don’t starve. I think the round big boats will inspire teamwork in some people and is much more challenging and involved, so I can only think of the one man boat being a good vehicle while fighting King crab. So I think it would be great if pearl would trade a one man boat blue print when she has given you the pearl witch is a great time in which you have probably masters the round boat and would like a better way of transportation and fight the Crab king.
The main things I wish they would add to sea faring are boat mods. Bigger boats, small canoes, boat armor, better handling, the ability to connect boats, cannons. These things would make boating WAY more enjoyable. They could limit the number of mods on a boat or make specific boat and gear types that require more rare resources. I want to like boating, there's so much to do and find that can only be done at sea, but boating is so cumbersome that I'm basically killing myself and wasting resources everytime I try to do it.
Well beard, as soon as one of my friends boats sailed a lightning bolt hit the damn boat and burned everything down, and this was during spring mind you. Also the leafy meat farms are going to be op now
Just near a cave entrance or ruins/wilds,dont base too near bunny men, dont base in the wilds, just near it so the fissures dont annoy you,use your time to stay as insane as possible to get nightmare fuel, and know how to kite death worms,or stay near rock lobsters, and thats it,do ruins if you havent
Near the ruins, you have plenty of ponds to get eels and plenty of lichen to use as filler. This base serves you on incursions to the ruins as well which is arguably the only interesting part of the caves.
While I kind of like sailing I pretty much only find it fun when you work with 2 to 3 players, everyone managing the boat and panicking when anything happens makes it kinda enjoyable, the only thing I'd really wish they did is make either a bigger boat or let you attach boat together so you can effectively seabase
the mast additions are insanely important for me. before this update there was only just enough space for everything i needed on my boat if i placed things almost pixel perfect, and movement would be hampered
What if Klei made a massive update to don’t starve together that has all the characters, items, creatures and mechanics of all the other games, and made one huge mash up
I feel that there should be different types of boats. Maybe you could use some special drop from the rock shark to aurmor your boat. I also think that you should have more control over your boat, not shipwrecked control, but you should be able to instantly turn your sails because now it just takes so long to turn your boat. The feathered sail needs a buff, it should give you extra speed so we have a reason to fight that birdo. I think Klei should a pig king ish thing, but for the sea, mabey you would trade fish with him for some unique items used to craft thing for the land? Last, I think there should be water pumps things on land. Maybe they could power those water shooters, or mabey we could have sprinklers, but these would require thing from the sea, or maybe things from a sea pig king to craft them, or pipes that bring them water? I really thing that Klei needs to make have thing at sea, help you on land. Now, sea things help you at sea, and the sea is just to optional.
The Beard 777 okay that’s good. I know there’s problems with it but I think because I haven’t played shipwrecked my expectations aren’t as high, I just like exploring and fishing, and this “mobile base” idea you can try. One time I died in winter but then revived and survived the last two days of it by riding a boat with a fire on it
Just played with the spiky ball myself without knowing anything about it. When i tried to attack a bird with it, it hit ground few meters before it and had no effect. But when I chose to use right mouse button to toss it instead, it stunned the bird and allowed me to pick it up.

You don't have to stop fishing, loosing the lure and the fish, to put out the fire. You can't do that with the fire pump, so for now, I'm sticking to ice-flingomatic. @@jakepeng9962 You can cook via the campfire, but there are substitutes for that, not the least of which being a crockpot. Not salamanders, use lure plants if you can, plant them on boats and easy leafy meat, salamanders are better alive in most cases, but i guess its ok to try kill one as walter for easy healing and food
They should add a "smooth sailing" update, where you can take the wheel and have more direct control of the boat and be able to let go of it and multitask when you need to while the boat keeps moving. Almost as easy as shipwrecked but still keep the challenge of managing its mechanics. Maybe add high winds on the seas and waves that could potentially soak you and damage you. Whirlpools, Hurricanes... Take a little inspiration from "sea of thieves" sailing mechanics
I want more plant based enemies, the "Plants relate to him" perk of Wormwood is almost useless since counting the new enemy there are 2 creatures affected by it, 2.... maybe a lunar plant that is neutral but can be allied to Wormwood? idk, i just want that perk of his to be a little more meaningful.
huh... they just, they just kinda added a bunch of dangers for the sea and random lureplant stuff. not any good stuff for the sea, just.. angry mobs. in the next update are they gonna add something thats worth going to the sea?
And to think that this was likely their best update yet... I've been asking myself that very question for over a year now, friend. This is better off being the update that made leafy meat worth something, worth A LOT actually!
Different boats are all they need to make everything I have ever said about the seafaring stuff melt away, at least for the most part. Give me something that isn't a literal, floating circle that is stupidly bulky and I will be on the water constantly - it will be my new go-to easily.

@@jakepeng9962 You can cook via the campfire, but there are substitutes for that, not the least of which being a crockpot. More light can be somewhat handy but you need to keep shovelling in fuel for that to work.
It hardly makes the campfire useless for boating or anything, it's just a very useful alternative.
@@darthvaderreviews6926 you need fuel for mast aswell
@@darthvaderreviews6926 im not saying its bad,it looks better, thats it
I'm actually starting to like this boats, they may not be the fastest but Klei is doing a good job with them
Just use more sails,3 is too fast,2 is ok
New food is always good guess we gotta start farming those saladmanders now
Not salamanders, use lure plants if you can, plant them on boats and easy leafy meat, salamanders are better alive in most cases, but i guess its ok to try kill one as walter for easy healing and food
I want more plant based enemies, the "Plants relate to him" perk of Wormwood is almost useless since counting the new enemy there are 2 creatures affected by it, 2.... maybe a lunar plant that is neutral but can be allied to Wormwood? idk, i just want that perk of his to be a little more meaningful.
the rockjaw shark looks like a yacht
Hey beard could u explain or make a video about how make a leafy meat farm ,please?
It’s very easy. Just get a bunch of lure plants and then plant all of them an a boat.
There may be an even easier way if the method still works, perhaps I should test it and see!
Nope, doesn't work anymore so we'll have to figure out a new way to farm some leafy meat then!
The Beard 777 hmm interesting. Well let’s see what type of leafy meat farms we can create.
I want to cry I missed 3 updates because I can't play don't starve wait I can play it just not on online I just noticed that
Thanks for the guide!
No problem!
all the new food, all i can't eat (i play wurt)
Its stupit wurt cant eat leafy meat,i think he used to when he was released, then outa nowhere he cant
@@jakepeng9962 because iit counts as meat
Hey beard, could you do a character guide on the engineer?
For how fast and frequently you make these videos, it really makes me want to know how many hours you have on record on steam.
Not as much as you may think however the number certainly doesn't paint the whole picture.
Will the Sea Weeds spawn on an old world ?
Once the update actually comes out maybe, we can't know until Klei tells us.
huh... they just, they just kinda added a bunch of dangers for the sea and random lureplant stuff. not any good stuff for the sea, just.. angry mobs. in the next update are they gonna add something thats worth going to the sea?
And to think that this was likely their best update yet... I've been asking myself that very question for over a year now, friend.
This is better off being the update that made leafy meat worth something, worth A LOT actually!
Curious question with the least meat crock pot recipes. Can Wurt eat them? She doesn't eat the leafy meat itself but can she eat these new recipes?
Nope
@@TheBeard777 Darn. Thanks for answering.
very good leafy meat dishes....
shame Wurt cant eat em due to the leafy meat used
Can you do a guide on the map icons and what they mean?
Sea weed: zombie pigman/zomling
If possible, can you do guide on trinkets pls
Is there a difference between the different colored sea weeds
No, at least it doesn't appear so for the time being.
LUREPLANT GUIDE PLEASE BEARD!
Saying "Hollow knight" until Beard finishes it. Day 132
Cakenja “what do you mean you’ve seen this, it’s brand new”
I'm sorry but you'll never be done with Crock-Pot dishes
Beard, how do you think the sailing could be improved?
Different boats are all they need to make everything I have ever said about the seafaring stuff melt away, at least for the most part. Give me something that isn't a literal, floating circle that is stupidly bulky and I will be on the water constantly - it will be my new go-to easily.
If walany was is game unchanged with her surfboard she would be S teir(or a teir) character because she can rush stone fruits, sea weed, and even glass cutters and have a really good food source
Edit:kelp stauks for easy sea weed farm
@@jakepeng9962
Woodie can already rush those things and he isn't S tier, nothing in lunar island is remotely unique or interesting.
Stone fruit is nice but you have plenty of food sources in land, food has never been an issue.
Same with stone, you have petrified trees and boulders from antlion, you don't need that much stone anyway.
Glass cutters are just dark swords with less durability, hardly worth to get them and you can only craft them in the island while you can craft dark swords anywhere.
Barnacle Nigiri = Sea Pierogi

Lure plants?
You forgot about wavy jones removing boat patches.
Does 50 hull damage but drops the patch that wil repair it back up for 50 so idk why I saw someone complain about in forums, only has 2 hands so eh, but I don't know boats well..
I said "and more" and made it clear he would mess with your boat all the while not giving it away as people experiencing things themselves is something I tend to avoid doing.
Are the leafy meat croc pot recipes edible for wig
Yes! Wurt, no.
Thank you so much beard
