    The guys from the lost engine are outstanding courageous precious humans my hat is off to them and the young firefighter who had the discipline and skill to go back into that hell and save his crew.

    very few beneficiaries of wealth ever admit wrongdoing; but as they say, behind every great fortune is some crime (most likely many crimes)

      You're not wrong. I used to work for the biggest moving company in the US, we did everything from local to overseas to commercial. The amount of property. Trucks equipment ect they owned is insane, esp in the area they are located. After working there a few years got really close with the boss. So much so he started inviting me to his lake house an beach house. Well one night after a few drinks of whiskey he let it slip how he got started in this business. Moving kilos of coke and weed in the 70s and 80s. This guys brother started a trucking company in the late 60s an by the 70s were very much involved in trafficking. You'd NEVER suspect it if you met them. Crazy.

    • @calspace
      @calspace 19 днів тому

      I think they're talking about some of the land that the family owns being given to the descendants of the slaves and then rented to a large company like Walmart that could both provide local jobs and income to the owners.
      It's an interesting idea, but I don't think Walmart builds on rented property, and ultimately, they are drains on the community, not assets.

    Modern day slavery

    • @lovetolovebooks
      @lovetolovebooks 6 місяців тому

      As long as people refuse to apologize and reconcile the slavery of the past, it will continue. Because the story is that it wasn’t wrong at the time and people should get over it. It is wrong now and wrong then, but the refusal to acknowledge is condoning it and thus it continues.

    This is ridiculous and to blame these folks that have no part of this history, they are not financially responsible and none of these generations black or white are direct sufferers. I had to delete my remaining comment because I’d never want to offend anyone because I don’t see race or skin color but I’ve seen unfairness now to BOTH sides all the while trying to make it fair. Enough is enough, we can’t change the past and we need to move forward with the future.

    • @WarrenHolly

    Although, their ancestors were treated unfairly, i don't think the current generation deserves any "windfall". Life is unfair. Future generations could have moved from there, and started a new life somewhere else. I can see the family doing something to improve the community or living conditionsin that town... a park, better roads & services, etc...

    I surely just can’t wrap my head around why I would be responsible or owe something to someone that my very distant ancestors wronged. They don’t owe you nor responsible for actions of any other. It is so out of control.
    Move and do better for yourselves. Maybe if you stop blaming and thinking others owe you it would allow you to move on toward being more successful for your family.

    • @charnacharna3981
      @charnacharna3981 3 місяці тому +1

      The reason you cannot wrap your head around it is because you've accepted the mindset of your ancestors. No compassion for human life,other than your own. The only way to Right the wrong that your ancestors have done is to change the atrocities done by your ancestors. Which means, to have no more HATRED in your heart . To be humane,having compassion for all no matter their Race,skin tone or country. If you can't wrap your head around that,then you've ultimately become your ancestors all over again and The reason Racism will never die ‼️

    • @calspace
      @calspace 19 днів тому +1

      First of all, why would a child choose to leave their parents and go and live in a different country where they don't speak the language?
      Second of all, even if a child did want that, they're a child, and they don't get to choose that.

    About africantown and that the kind black woman sais that they didnt want to look like greedy ancestors..
    Let me tell you something about ancestors, in my mind the greedy once was those who bought slaves to work for them for free more or less...
    So the ancestors understandable wants something back for the point..

      Exactly! And they compensated every other race but the most obvious one we get all kinds of excuses. I understand being humble but we are the ones that got ste of ped on. I have never hesitated to tell someone get off of my foot and that's putting it nicely. Set up straight look them dead in the eye and speak firmly. That's my grandfather coming through me.🙏🏾 Excuse me.

    Why are people apologizing for stuff that happen a 200 years before they were born? So silly. Slavery has been going on for 1,000’s of years and is going on now. Let’s worry about current citizens, stop blaming people for what happen 100’s of years ago.
