+MadLuigi Hey man the video was amazing and I really enjoyed it. Made the story behind lothric quite a bit easier to understand. Just some constructive criticism, try to speak with a little more enthusiasm and/or emotion.
Thanks for the kind words! And yeah, I was too monotone in this video. i just posted another lore video that I thought I did a bit better in that aspect, but it's something I'm going to have to continually work on.
Yeah right after I posted that comment I watched the video on Aldritch and you did considerably better. I kinda want to know your take on the timeline of dark souls 3 and if dark souls 2 is set before or after dark souls 3. I was quite surprised when I found ladder smith Gilligan next to the first bonfire in The Profaned Capital. Also I am wondering if the word "Drang" in the twin drang weapons is short for Drangleic? If so those knight/mercenaries mobs next to the slain giants.. Could they possibly be Drangleic warriors? If so then does that mean Anor Londo is the land of Giants that Nashandra manipulated Vendrick into invading in Dark Souls 2? I'm just so confused... Or is space time and the world caving in on itself causing time to be convoluted and distorted? Is the player character moving through vastly different time periods as you progress through the game? Also I think this is a huge stretch but could Hawkwood possibly Ocelot? Sorry for all the questions I'm just so lost with dark souls 3. I am not very keen on what in the world is going on lol.
Nah, it's totally fine. A lot of what you're asking are questions no one can answer. I believe that all space-time of the Dark Souls universe is kind of convoluted right now, so I'm not sure on a lot of the specifics. But I will definitely post more videos as more gets confirmed.
Please do more man, I've been waiting for the big channels to help me understand the vast lore but wow this is just as good as any of them, You do an amazing job at covering the lore and i sub hoping you run through every bit of lore in this amazing game.
+logan kappert I really appreciate it! I'm trying to make my videos just as quality as any other lore video I've seen, so feedback like this is awesome! And I'll be putting out a new lore video tomorrow!
I always figured the Scholars and their wax was sort of a hint towards their link to Aldia - they were trying to imitate the dripping face/limbs we see on all his statues.
Awesome video man! Keep them up! I found it strange though that the grandarchives were closed, yet there are so many of those lowly thrall enemies with the strange hoods. I can see that maybe they are there to be seen as looters, but then why do they and the scholars help eachother? I also like how the Knights in there use crystal imbuing magic instead of lightning.
+Greg Burrow No problem! A lot of this I actually really have to credit to the redditor for helping me see. Lore finding in this game is definitely one big collab. I'm really glad you enjoyed the video!
Has anybody else noticed that the corpse with the Gotthard Twin Swords isn't Gotthard? The corpse has Onikiri and Ubadachi at their hip. You get a good view of this at 7:54
Hmmm, I wonder why more people haven't uploaded more about DS3 lore like they did with DS2 I find it very interesting. Anyways good video! I hope you do more! :D
this isn't half bad, with some more practice you could get really good at making this kind of videos. If I could make a suggestion, you could try to make the audio a little more engaiging, as the script itself already seems to be pretty organized and interesting and the visual aid you put together is pretty spot on
+Ricado Santos I appreciate the feedback. I do need to get better about being more engaging in my speech in these videos. I think I'm getting better in my newer lore videos, still need to practice though.
+RaLLenheimer Awesome! I'm really glad ya liked it. And I could be more enthusiastic, I can definitely get a bit monotone, I appreciate the sub, and the suggestion.
+Dillon Graves Here are my thoughts on the matter: The rulers of Lothric believed that the Linking of the Fire was an honor worthy of only their royal family. As a result, they were obsessed with the production of a pure heir. Lorain was their first child and became a capable warrior and a stalwart knight. However, the kingdom of Lothric, governed by the Way of White, underwent a crisis of faith. When the worship of Angels gained prominence over the Way of White, Lorian converted. Subsequently, his family considered him unworthy and produced another heir, Lothric. To inhibit the shortcomings that afflicted his older brother, Lothric was sequestered away so as to not be exposed to any dissident ideas. From there, his life was dedicated to prayer and meditation to prepare him for the Linking of the Fire. However, he was influenced by his own skeptical tutor, the head scholar of the Grand Archives, and relinquished his duty. The last known child of the royal family is Ocelotte. We do know that he was born and that, upon giving birth to him, the Queen of Lothric quietly disappeared, suggesting that he may have been stillborn. Exasperated with their failed attempts, Oceiros, King of Lothric, sought a new means to produce a worthy heir and turned to the ancient dragons for answers and discovered the worship of Seathe the Scaleless. The writings of the Paledrake, like Big Hat Logan before him, drove him to insanity in his endeavors to emulate the dragons of old. His subsequent obliviousness to the Kingdom resulted in the dispatchment of assassins from multiple parties, all of whom failed to eliminate their target. When encountered in-game, I believe that Oceiros is delusional and may even be producing those infantile cries in his madness.
I like the content of your video but your voice... You just don't seem enthusiastic which makes this feel more like a lecture. The content and video are solid in their own right but I just want to feel the excitement of delving into dark souls lore. I'll keep an eye out for more of your content though. :)
What about the primordial serpents, namely Darkstalker Kaathe? There are clearly statues of serpents in the Grand Archives area as shown in this video. If you look closely, he is depicted with wings. Could he be the angel that was the messenger to Gertrude? Was he the first scholar who did not want to link the flame and was the mentor to Prince Lothric?
+MadLuigi Are you going to make a video about hollowing? How come we dont hollow in this game as compare to DS1 and DS2 and to be able to hollow we need the dark sigil. Arent undead just hollow out after losing its reason or hope?
The main character definitely seems to be different than those of DS1 and DS2. I do plan to make a video about this stuff, but I need some more info first.
+MadLuigi My brother say that the lady that sell stuff say something about you still having memories (dream). So you havent started to hollow out. Not sure if thats a good reason.
Davx probobly will get one and i thinks that kath still leads them becouse we can see a statue of primortial searpents ( probobly framt) in grand archives in lothriks castle
this brought up an interesting thought to me. we never see Lothric in its old glory, has it just been a shit hole for so long no one can remember what it was like before?
no No NO!! He no found dead don't trust me? HIS EYE STILL BLINKING!!!! I think he just don't want to help us anymore and play dead Huh! like that gonna fooled me!!
Says he "put a lot of work into this" when he just summarized what was written from the reddit page he linked. All he really did was show the locations, but nonetheless its pronounced goddard not got hard.
+MadLuigi Your voice sounded a lot better in your outro. Maybe you can make future lore videos with you normal voice instead of the monotone voice. Also you didn't talk about the angels and their roles with the 3 pillars since they that are heavily connect with each other. Anyway, great video and subbing for more.
I do think I should try to use more of a conversational tone. And I'm waiting to talk about those angelic knights because I might do a video on the Lothric royal family, which would include Gertrude and those knights. And awesome to hear!
this is the first dks3 lore video ive seen yet, and im glad it is so well done! subbed!
+abel sephaos Thanks a ton!
+MadLuigi Same here! Great videos. I hope you find the time to stick with the lore videos. I'll def. be around. :)
Good to hear! I'm definitely going to do my best to keep these coming.
Please do more, good sir. This is the lore fix I've been looking for!
+Dylan Lewis I will be! I'm glad you enjoyed and this has gotten a pretty good response, so I definitely plan to do more.
+MadLuigi Hey man the video was amazing and I really enjoyed it. Made the story behind lothric quite a bit easier to understand. Just some constructive criticism, try to speak with a little more enthusiasm and/or emotion.

@00:45 Well that explains Ocelot

I think they're there to serve. After all thrall mean slave.
Wow! I just finishing my second play through and I'm embarrassed by how much good lore I missed.... thanks for closing the gap man
+Greg Burrow No problem!
You get a good view of this at 7:54
I noticed that too weird thing is that u find the guy with the dual katanas alive at the top of the archives
+mrhObo9921 I think they jut reused that asset and overlooked that detail
Hmmm, I wonder why more people haven't uploaded more about DS3 lore like they did with DS2 I find it very interesting. Anyways good video! I hope you do more! :D
+Professor Xavier Thanks! I definitely will
2:33 They protected their intellectual treasure by stepping over books :d

Good shit man!
+ToastedToast21 Thanks!
Quality content! VERY GOOD
+Alfried Thanks! I really appreciate the support. I just hope that this can take off a bit, since vids like this take a lot of effort.
Awsome! Sounds like you don't have a pop filter, i suggest getting one.
Good stuff. If there's one thing you could improve it's that at the start of the video you sounded a bit too bored? Overall very good, subscribed.
+Kiregan Yea, I'm trying to be less monotone/boring. I'm glad you still liked it though!
Great video... Subbed
very good start you have what it takes to be like vid fun
+Abdul Almasri I appreciate the kind words!
Great Video!
+Alessio Giua Thanks!
You sir, gained a sub, sir!
+MokaPot Awesome!

MadLuigi well, they're already pretty good, and, judging by your attitude, it seems like they'll only get better in the future :)

+RaLLenheimer Awesome! I'm really glad ya liked it. And I could be more enthusiastic, I can definitely get a bit monotone, I appreciate the sub, and the suggestion.
I NEED Oceirus lore. That dude is crazy. Gotta know what his story is.
+Dillon Graves I'll definitely get to him!
Awesome! You got yourself a sub, brother.
Happy to hear!
+Dillon Graves

Pillars of Nosgoth... Someone remember?
+Radsoe as soon as i saw pillars of lothric that's what my mind jumped too!
Can't help but remember every time I take in Souls... Damn they need to make another LoK. One of my top fav series
You really don't break the monotony, in fact just the contrary.
I like the content of your video but your voice... You just don't seem enthusiastic which makes this feel more like a lecture. The content and video are solid in their own right but I just want to feel the excitement of delving into dark souls lore. I'll keep an eye out for more of your content though. :)
He sounds like the teacher in can design from the movie monsters university
dude it's horrible, I feel like it's a chore just to listen
+Stephen Fabiano then don't listen simple as that. fuck off
Dude this is a valid criticism. A little more enthusiam would help make the videos more engaging.
Yeah, he has great content, he just needs to be more engaging
1:35 where can you get this set?
What about the primordial serpents, namely Darkstalker Kaathe? There are clearly statues of serpents in the Grand Archives area as shown in this video. If you look closely, he is depicted with wings. Ight, I'll definitely take that into account.
Giving Vaati a run for his money!
+Tim Brakefield Now that's a compliment! Thanks
If I see one more person call oceiros ( oh-sey-ros) Osiris I'm going to lose my fucking mind.
Good video though
+tarheelfan407 Sorry! I was sure I was pronouncing it wrong, but couldn't think of a more proper way. My b, and thanks!

Anyone knows who leads the dark wraiths
kath probobly
+yaroslav pakhomenko still? I wonder if we will get dlc or something on where they are and that whole thing
pumperum
Davx probobly will get one and i thinks that kath still leads them becouse we can see a statue of primortial searpents ( probobly framt) in grand archives in lothriks castle
+yaroslav pakhomenko A DLC featuring Londor and Kaathe would be fucking epic!
The hunters sound like from bloodborne and their pillar
this brought up an interesting thought to me. we never see Lothric in its old glory, has it just been a shit hole for so long no one can remember what it was like before?
MORE LORE!!!!!
+Fleskbit I'll have another one up within 24 hours!
+MadLuigi awesome. keep it up

+kiball09 Thanks!
"Got hard"
no No NO!! He no found dead don't trust me? HIS EYE STILL BLINKING!!!!
I think he just don't want to help us anymore and play dead Huh! like that gonna fooled me!!
the first 15 seconds sounded like a dull narrator of ancient history
You my friend Earned a sub, hell I'd do it again if I could
+Ben Healey Awesome to hear!
Says he "put a lot of work into this" when he just summarized what was written from the reddit page he linked. All he really did was show the locations, but nonetheless its pronounced goddard not got hard.
+KingSolo Haha.
8888 subscribers can't mess up..
and i saw this 8 hours ago
Are you trying to sound like VaatiVidya? XD
It's pronounced goddard
have some coffee before recording videos, you sound really sleepy.
+Alex DemiHuman Haha I'll try to be a bit more enthusiastic in following vids.
+MadLuigi Your voice sounded a lot better in your outro. Maybe you can make future lore videos with you normal voice instead of the monotone voice. Cool lore. But, you think you could add a bit more emotion to your voice? You know, not talk like you're bored as hell?
+luneki I tried getting better about being monotone/bland in newer vids!
Watch out grade A under A might try to say your a plagiarist due to your similarity to vati vitchya
Damn you sound so bored xD
you really need to put s bit more life into your voice.
+Alan Costello I know, I'm working on it and think I do a bit better of a job in my newer lore videos.
