    When buying a new tank, especially with EFI Bikes, get the dry break style, and then the screw cap assy. you can almost fit 2 hands in them to play with the pumps etc......... or swapping.. Enjoy that bike !!!

    I have raced mx for over 40+ years. Had nothing but Jap bikes until 2017. Went back to 2 strokes for the tracks ( Modded TC125 / 250 ). In my later years here , I'm really interested in these dualsport offroad bikes. I want something that will get me to some very remote camping / fishing spots. And man , these Beta's have really got my attention! Just beautiful! Love your bike my man!

    I got a dent on the side of the pipe where your e line thing is. I got a cheap pipe guard on e bay that's shorter and only covers the side. Yours may look a bit off if you really look at it but from experience I'm sure it can help. It's easy for the pipe to get dented if dropped into a rock

    How on earth is your garage so beautifully clean? I'm also a HUGE Pug fan (our fawn passed in 2019 and our black 2 months and 29 days ago), and we *might* even drive the same truck AND we both have a T7 in the same damn color. What in the world.

    • @chasingtrail
      @chasingtrail  2 роки тому

      My garage was a mess just one year ago. My wife is a bit of a hoarder and I needed room for toys, so I committed to reorganizing everything. I also owned basically no tools. So, I moved everything around, bought some shelves, got my wife to get rid of some stuff, and spent a small fortune on tools since I was basically starting from scratch. My wife has also agreed to park the van outside if it comes to that, but our current setup is working for now.
      I get a lot of shit for my diet-truck from my friends. My dad, a retired veterinarian (who also has pugs), calls it the Ridgling, which is the term for a horse with an undescended testicle.
      As for the T7, what can I say, you have good taste!

    Interesting, your tach was jumping all over the place, same as my 500RR-S. I was told the dealer needed to reset it to stop it from doing that.

    • @chasingtrail
      @chasingtrail  2 роки тому +3

      Yeah, another viewer pointed this out to me. I ended up figuring it out. You have to go into the settings on the Voyager and change the PPR value. By default it's setup for 2T motors, and they commonly forget to change it from the factory for 4T motors. If I remember correctly the setting you want is 1/2 or 0.5. You have to scroll up or down to find that value as it's not immediately visible when you change the value. My tach works perfectly now. Easy fix once you find the setting buried in the Voyager. Here's a link to the manual: cdn1.polaris.com/globalassets/trail-tech/2020/home/pdf/9000-manual.pdf?v=834b4d71

    Hey Mike, THX for sharing your build. Close to finishing a similar build on a 500. I’ve got about 375 miles racked up at this point. My OEM gas tank provides a range of about 45 miles out and 45 back from my house. Trying to decide on the 3.4 or 5.2 tanks. What kind of range are you seeing?

    Was wondering what made you choose the 430 vs the 500? I’m not all that familiar with betas, but very interested in learning as much as possible . Nice build for sure !

    • @chasingtrail
      @chasingtrail  Рік тому +1

      I'd ridden a friend's 430 and knew exactly what it was. It also has a bit more character in the motor with a nice mid-range punch. The 500 is definitely more popular and probably the better overall choice, especially if you'll be spending time on pavement. The 430 was the right choice for me, but I don't think you can go wrong either way.
      On a side note, do you farm tobacco for Copenhagen, and if so, can you get me cans for less than $9? Prices in CA are outrageous.

    How much higher is the seat concept TALL then the stock seat height? just in foam?

    • @chasingtrail
