Can we appreciate that Kirsty has shown more improvement over the handfull of games shes been in than the rest of the yogs have over the past few years
It was impressive especially compared to the other yogs, but honestly even that was kind of awful compared to NQ players. Of course Lewis is an old man now, at the blazing age of ~40. And it was one of the best attacks we've ever seen.
13:33 Was anyone else REALLY hoping Rambler was going to buy the landslip to fight the anti-tank units? He hovered over it for a few too many seconds, you know he was considering it.
Must've said something to offend a high up politician lol. "General...you are being appointed Director of Radioactive Material Procurement. Needless to say, you are expected to be hands on in the operations..."
Props to Daltos, you know he could have turtled and made a good run for a science or culture victory, but he took the war to them to make it interesting
Absolutely had to click frantically. Lewis had destroyers literally right by the city, if it got taken before he could nuke he would've lost the nuke entirely.
Slamming with destroyers is a very good strategy. They dont cost oil to build and can move after attacking. So in theory you can use 10-20 destroyers to slam, rather than just a couple of battleships that would fire. Lewis should tech for missle cruisers now and go kill off daltos, kristy and rythian. While going to space. GG
The carriers with bombers and fighters were incredibly important. They could stay back while the destroyers went up, got Daltos's ships low, and then cleaned up with bombers. And the fighters kept Daltos's own bombers from being effective.
This game fell off a bit in the mid point imo when it looked like a clear Daltos win but the past few episodes have been amazing. Not sure how lewis is always able to come back from starts that he throws in the most spectacular ways
Fell off a bit? That was just everyone else whining about being behind. The giga alliance was only ever going to fail if they didn't actually giga alliance.
Real talk, has Rambler ever played a game of civ outside of the recording sessions? It feels like he’s still in the beginner “choosing buildings based off vibes” mode
I lost it at "I still need 15 happiness, it's probably from all those captured cities" as he looked at one of said annexed cities and built some random crap, never bothering to build a 1-turn courthouse.
I would be surprised if Rambler had more than fifty hours in civ. I'd be astonished if he hit three digits. He's very inexperienced and probably has things need done that aren't studying civ for the few times he comes in. So I agree he's still in beginner player stages. We'll need patience while he learns. C=
The craziest thing is that he's been in these series for YEARS, I can't find where exactly he first joined these videos, but it has to be close to a decade ago
@@Eeraschyyr I agree we should absolutely have patience with him, I mean being good at civ is a skill no one needs. It’s just lowkey frustrating to see no growth from him, since he joined at least half a decade ago
A 6 player challenge with islands and mountains blocking everything sounds cool. Downside is I don't know how it's possible to do diplomatic victory if you can't find all the city states.
Daltos always plays so greedy when he gets ahead. I'm always shocked how few troops he has for defense once his main offensive army gets destroyed. The rest of them need to learn to play like Lewis, when you war there are never enough troops. Keep printing even if you're winning, if your economy can't sustain it you can delete them later once the threat is gone. He spent the last few episode falling further and further behind Lewis in troop count because he thought he was ahead enough to sneak in some economy and science buildings and now he's on the back foot with a force too big on his doorstep to right the ship. He had a completely dominant tech and production advantage over everyone, there is basically no scenario where he should fall behind on military power.
Kirsty's POV FPS looks miserable to play i hope it's just the recording, so proud of her pushing with a navy and fighting, the improvements she makes every game are leaps and bounds
All of her recordings look like that in all the videos that have her pov. It's hard to say if it's a hardware issue or a software issue just from what we see though. It's been this way for a while
i couldn't list off everything he needs to do but from a little bit of what i've seen, he definitely needs to make better use of trade routes. and just "general use" tips: industrialization and plastics are extremely high priority techs in the mid/late game
This is the best video ever. So much absolute chaos. Please never do a full sim game. Just embody forever warrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!
@@louish5068 For that I need to unpack the toaster, I then have to clean it before repacking it. And putting the beans on top while not letting them fall off is way more faff than it is worth when I could just take a spoonful of beans from a bowl for each bite of bread. It just gets worse with cheese or butter involved, since the beans now also want to slide off on the smooth surface.

Kirsty out here improving more in 3 games than Duncan has in 8 years.
Kirsty doing war and taking cities (even if it was just a few turns)! We love to see it!
Kirsty the real dark horse in the next Civ V game!
Yeah except not moving her only melee unit out of the city and instead looking at policies sent me
Lewis' destroyer hit and run was so impressive. I've never seen anything like that in any Yogs civ game. Lewis is the king of late game micro
It was impressive especially compared to the other yogs, but honestly even that was kind of awful compared to NQ players.

Daltos' great generals are fighting for the existence of their country, while Lewis' great generals are building starforts on uranium depos

Rythian, "I war a lot more than usual now"
You mean - people declare war on you more now, so you're being forced to not turtle anymore, haha
There was that one game he barreled into Duncan early on! He even won that one thanks to his mlg spy tech steal.
But yes mostly reactive.
He joined the anti-Lewis alliance last game and i think sent a fleet. Didn't he also attack Daltos this game
He's actually correct.
That's just a testament to how little he did it before.
Love how Daltos just casually nuked his own city while trying to get rid of Lewis' destroyers
I think it was pretty frantic actually !
For Belka!
Absolutely had to click frantically. Lewis had destroyers literally right by the city, if it got taken before he could nuke he would've lost the nuke entirely.
Can we talk about how good Kirsty has gotten at Civ 5? Like, goddamn

A part of me really loves this new Daltos is the best player by a wide margin meta era we're embarking on
He's showing his weakness in war skills now though, ol' Lewis has still got it
I think Lewis proved he can do better when he wants to.
Bouphe is playing Fallout 4
"I war more now" Rythian 2024. I'm sure only because he had to
Daltos is really impressing me this game.

Really enjoying the back and forth this series
Best game in a long time

When he bought anti-tank rifles instead of literally ANY other unit to combat those barbs I lost it.

The morning uploads for these is great. Wonderful way to start my day
Oh how I wish we could get Lewis and/or Daltos hooked on Vox Populi.
After they all unite to defeat Daltos, I bet they just ignore the new threat that Lewis presents.
They already talked about this last episode.
Reminds me of the Tiny Map game, and Kristy getting into the fight is perfect.

Lol Daltos not just lost his capital, but he also nuked his 30-pop 2nd city to 9 xD.
Someone needs to help rambler like wtf is he building
Rythian thinking the amount of war in the game has anything to do with him “doing more war than usual” is hilarious
Will be fun to see how this ends with Lewis having the most power now
LEWIS THE COMEBACK KING!!!
1:00 did Lewis really just not pick the upgrade to let his battleship attack twice and then run
A nailbiter of an episode

"SAS is pretty much all we've got now"
The SBS, SRR, Ranger Regiment, Paras, and Marines would like a word
🫡 Oh Boat King, my Boat King
I would not trust daltos' tastes lol
Yay!
Wait is this the same game where Lewis threw by going Piety?! HOW DOES THE MAD MAN DO IT?!
boat king!!! NNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
America... seal team 6 yea!
CAN YOU DIG IT!
I wonder if daltos knows that Warriors is based on Xenophons's Anabasis?
cool
Love Rambler but he is painful to watch.
I tried baked beans on toast multiple times. Always found it to be thoroughly disappointing for how much effort it takes.
It takes 0 effort lmao, you make some toast, butter it, and microwave some baked beans and put them on top. Its like the easiest meal known to man
