17:12 Using the way civ 5 converts city pop numbers into citizen demographic, changing a city from 44 pop to 11 pop means that the demographics of Daltos' capital went from 39,963,866 to 823,947 people, or that 98% of the population was wiped out. The formula for converting city pop to demographics is (pop^2.8) x 1000
Lewis makes these games so interesting. Hoping Kristy can build the confidence to go toe to toe with him and Daltos soon! If she prolongs for more games she’ll lose the advantage of being underestimated
Duncan annoyed me with the: "I ony started building ships when he (daltos) attacked" bro was building cristo redemptor. Goddam it dunc, we can see your screen stop validating your bad play of letting everyone help you whilst you sit there and get wrecked. Really good game though, i reckon kirsty will get a win soon shes actually good. For those who struggle they just need to watch a few filthy robot videos and that will give them enough of an idea to succeed in lekmod
No. Filthyrobots videos are dated and made for non-modded civ 5 multiplayer. Ry is the channel you should go look up, he has made countless tutorial videos and explained most of the game.
@@nessle420 A win handed on a silver platter is barely a win at all, if she keeps improving she could definitely win legit which would be so much better
I’m hoping Kirsty can get a legit win of course but one other way she could win without everyone dogpiling on her is if the recording/streaming session ends and she has the highest score, so long as the others don’t even bother coming back for another session and just call it a game. I think that’s how Kirsty herself was robbed of a win the first time she played.
13:44 32 pop city working dozens of 3 food, 1 prod, 1 gold tiles and not a single science specialist at turn 211. Yeah, that is how you lose. The point of working food tiles is to get population, because population gets you science. You have to at some point actually use that pop to start working the science buildings though, that point is probably 20 pop and 100 turns ago.
The day everyone starts thinking more strategically is the day these series' will become a thousand times more interesting. Not to say this would of been bad, but it's still very predictable. You get one player who gets into lead, and then you get the rest of them to form an alliance to counter that player. They all talk about how they are basically "king makers" by making the second best win, but none of them realize they could actually betray the second best too. Tell them you all are going to help, build really big armies and then attack them instead as an alliance of the (on this case) three others. I realize in this case I'm talking about three of the least experienced in warfare, but that's still three versus one who already is at war on other front. Talk to the person getting attacked by the second best, tell them to keep fighting (after they're already losing so they aren't on the lead anymore, like Daltos on this episode) and go in full attack mode. Or, if nobody wants to backstab the second best player, one player starts gifting money and units to the person in war with the "mega-alliance" without telling their allies. I don't know why they aren't doing that, maybe it's because they want to "play nice" with each other, but I honestly think they should play with two cards more. If nothing else, prolonging the war between the "mega-alliance" and the "winning player" you would increase your own chances to gain a lead or even a victory.
I dont understand why lewis is always untouchable in these games. I mean take advantage of the fact that all his troops are away from home and raze a couple of his cities. No one but daltos would though.
The reason why they are unable to touch Lewis in these games is because they fear him. He’s the best player when it comes to war and that’s because the rest of them don’t know the basics and are really bad at moving their units. I mean, it was only a couple episodes ago that we learned that Rith and didn’t know submarines can’t attack cities, and that carriers are only defensive units. It was only a couple series ago that they learned just how powerful anti-aircraft and fighters were in this game. The only ones that are really learning and improving on the game or Lewis, Kirsty, and Daltos.
I think it's also because Lewis is probably the second most likely (after Daltos) to remember such a slight and get some spite driven revenge. Most of the others would be silently angry or get back in other ways but Lewis has shown them that he gets even.
Kirsty couldn't do shit to Lewis. He may have technically been vulnerable, but by the time Kirsty attacked him with a concerted effort (Alone, as nobody else was technologically or economically in a position to attrition him), he could have built a fleet of 12 nuclear subs. The SLOWEST city he had building nuclear subs was every 4 turns. That, coupled with the insanely high defense of high pop garrisoned cities and land troops to support them would mean that Kirsty could have taken MAYBE one city before the end of the game as her offensive was ground to a halt.
Lewis understands the mechanics of how the game physically works much better than everyone else. The reason why he tends to meander in the early game is because his actual knowledge of what things like every tech/upgrade/policy does isn't great (he often forgets until too late that certain things exist). It stops him from having a really good opener at the beginning compared to people like Daltos who look up guides that explain combos. Once the game has progressed enough though Lewis' general gameplay eclipses everyone else. He is the king of clawing his way back xD
I think it comes across harsher than people really mean. It's a mix of wanting them to do better, but also frustration at still not learning the basics of the game after 10 years
I'd a be salty if I was Daltos. Sure, everyone wanted to prevent Daltos #1 from winning the game, so they work together to beat him down, fair enough. But everyone seems perfectly ok with Lewis #1 winning the game? Kirsty and Rythian should be backstabbing Lewis right now. Such hypocrisy.
once you get to the end of the game, at some point you just want it to end. I think that's how Lewis always pulls ahead, since most of his wins aren't when he starts out massively in the lead. When he's the big bad at first he's often taken down as well.
They all are well aware that there IS no stopping Lewis at this point. If he's building SS parts with the highest science in the game, he's probably getting a new tech every few turns, and every player in the game would not be enough to beat his navy at this point.
@Obscurite1221 you literally heard Lewis say he is aware his home cities are completely unprotected and Kirsty has a massive navy right there... Lewis is super over extended
@@willdazey7368 You'd think that, and to an extent it's true, but Kirsty literally could not capitalize on it before Lewis cobbled together a home fleet to hold her off before his main fleet came back. Doubly so if Lewis spotted her fleet with a sub before they actually arrived.
Daltos lost the game when he attacked Duncan, rather than attacking Lewis. Duncan would never use his fleet aggressively and Lewis was allowed to catch up after his rubbish start.

Datlos should have wiped Duncan out of the game. As usual he wines when he starts losing and everyone comes and bails him out then he starts pulling up ahead.
