Two things. I’m sure it has been commented on before, but I just noticed how small your house is compared to the gym. It is easy to see where your priorities are! When I was a teenager, growing up on a tobacco farm in NC, i was running to do a task, barefoot, of course, when i felt something soft under one foot. I went past it several steps before stopping to look for whatever I had stepped on. It was a big, fat water moccasin, nestled down in the pine needles. I’m not sure I would have noticed it even if I had been walking. I was just glad I was running because I was past it before it could strike and it was mad. Snakes and other critters are just a part of growing up in the country, as is hunting. Really enjoy your channel and hearing someone who sounds like home, discussing things I remember.
I love you Hannah. No tattoos, no piercings visible. Only marks are from catfish. My teachers always said don’t write in your books. They work much better that way.😊
I could listen to your stories for hours , absolutely love your accent and your personality, you’ve got a great family and a awesome life down there in Bama , I would love to live down there !
I was born in Gadsden but growing up in N. GA it was the copperheads in our front yard. I jumped down from a cedar tree and almost landed on a copperhead. We had Boxer dogs and they would bait and scrap with the snakes under the outbuildings. Our mother dog was bitten twice, once on the muzzle and once on the top of her head and one of her pups was bitten once. The hair on the fang marks never grew back and left blacks spots.
Get a Amish Wind Mill when you peg the feet into the ground , the vibrations keeps snakes & moles away.. Had one in the yard forever..it works great!! Blessings

Thanks for what you do with rattlesnakes and making people aware of the dangers or the safety whatever you want to call it it's very important thing thank you again God bless and stay safe
I spent the first 17 years of my life in the Mojave Desert in Southern California. The one thing I learned about rattlesnakes is, it's the little ones you have to look out for! As a rattlesnake ages, it learns to control the amount of venom they inject into a critter or you because, it can take a rattlesnake up to 3 weeks to replenish its venom. On the other hand, a baby rattlesnake will inject all of its Venom nto a critter or you! The adults learn that a little Venom goes a long way. You can imagine how lethal a baby rattlesnakes bite is. It goes for the gold!👍🇺🇸
bro one time me and my friend were in the lower valley right outside the western Mojave and we jumped a fence and came down on a baby rattle snake the little fucker swiped at my friend and actually bit his shorts. He got so fucking lucky and we never jumped over a wall without checking what was on the other side again.
So just so you're aware - the "dump their whole venom sack" thing is a huge myth. As someone who has spent the vast majority of his life studying herpetology, little makes me cringe more than the age old comment that "baby rattlers are more dangerous because they dump all of their venom in one bite" thing. I also used to live in the SoCal desert and having caught/released numerous adolescent/baby rattlers, as well milked numerous adults - this is just plainly not true. In fact, adolescent vipers (and this is true with most adolescent venomous snakes by the way) are far more likely to dry bite than their adult counterparts. The only wildlife related myth I find equally cringey is the one about crane flies (AKA the mosquito hawk) eating mosquitos when in fact, as adults most of them eat nothing at all (their lifespans are far too short) and none are capable of eating other insects, but I digress.
Much love and respect to you and your Pops from the 🌽 fields of Indiana!!! Stay safe, stay blessed and stay dangerous!!! #SemperFi 🤠👍 Edit: I can't wait to watch y'all lay the smack down on some big bucks this year!!!

Hey Hanna, consider rattlesnake avoidance training for Merle, as well as any of your other dogs. I know the training works because I have been doing the training here in Arizona for almost 20 years. The closest trainer to you, that I’m aware, is Southeast reptile rescue In Georgia. Keep your puppy safe get him trained.
You know, there's no danger of those timber rattlers going extinct. Why worry about paying for training your animal, when it may not work when you can simply get rid of the threat?
Hate Rattle Snakes, use to see a lot when haying. Snuffed a few out over the years as well. Look forward to your Bow hunting vids!..Stay safe,Cheers From Ontario Canada..
I'm in southern Ontario, didn't know we had rattlers here. Seen a few gardners snakes, skunks, fox, racoons, black squirrel and some have seen coyotes.
@@D33Lux Yep we do,more specifically on the Bruce Peninsula Niagara Escarpment Honey Harbour. Grew up in the area on the Bruce. I'm sure you can search or google it. Perhaps could even find something here on You Tube?.
It's pretty ironic that you were wearing your hat that says "get bit" while holding a rattlesnake lol. Albeit, a dead one.. but still. Ha. Much love Hannah. And I'm glad this time, you or Meryl didn't get bit. :)
Timber rattle snakes got into my neighbor's cabinet years ago... they moved out and later down the line they tore the old place down. They decided the old place wasn't worth reaching into a cabinet and getting bitten... was interesting... any way wish you the best and glad your dog did not get into it with the snake. I shoot any poisonous snakes around here because my neighbors in the rural area I am in have children. Also I know one young lady two summers ago her cat was playing with something in the yard and she thought it was a toy and it was a copperhead and she reached down and the copperhead bit her and she ended up in the hospital and her hand swelled up the size of a football. All of that in how a bite happens... so here I let black snakes live for mice and such but the poisonous snakes I shoot them. Any way later and stay safe.
Timber Rattlers are a lil more chill,,, We have them in a few Ohio counties, The snake might not have even rattled, A diamond back is a mean sob But glad pup wasnt with you
Hannah you do know that a rattle snake can bite up to several hours after you have killed it so be careful even though it is dead . and that is a fact .Love your videos
@@thigpen79 When the nerve of a newly dead snake is stimulated, the channels in the nerves will open up, allowing ions to pass through. This creates an electrical impulse that enables the muscle to carry out a reflexive action, like a bite, even after several hours after its death. So never be close to a dead venomous snakes. Same goes for Cobras and other vipers too
God I should’ve listened to my brother and move down south to work for NASCAR and found a sweet little Georgian peach like you, I would’ve been the luckiest man alive. But now my life is in reverse and I’m moving to Moscow, Russia next year instead from Boston, Massachusetts on my dad, I might add.
Where there’s one, you know, so ALWAYS keep an eye out for them. When I lived in Montana, I saw lots of them. Never had a problem, but if they were in my yard, well, I’m with you. !!

I second that .410 idea. I had bought some of those snake shot cartridges for my .357 and shot a few into the ground to get an idea of the spray pattern. Yikes, pretty wide from a safe distance to be an affective defense. Actually the plastic capsule made a decent hole in the ground and would likely be what would kill the snake.
Hannah, don't underestimate Merle. I had a neighbor with a dog very similar and though he had fairly short legs, he was quick and had a reputation of being a snake killer. He'd get them to strike a few times, making them tired, then get them around the middle and sling the heck out of them until they were dead.
Grew upon the south (Columbus Georgia ft. Benning) when I went into the military I grew up and saw the rest of the world. Don’t miss the south, never did but I love to listen to them when they talk, it is a different world and most of the time they are genuine folks.
I live behind delta elementary school in BayMinette and when I bought a place there it was infested with rattlesnakes and ground rattlesnakes. I've killed 22 diamond backs and 11 ground rattlesnakes since I bought the place and 50 foot behind the property is the school playground. So I couldn't use a rifle or shotgun. I killed every one with a big stick or shovel. Then a old man told me what to put under the old house and she'd. He told me to buy a 40 lb. Bag of powered sulfur and any poisonous snake wouldn't cross it. I bought it and put it out and all the rattlesnakes go way around now.

I’m 53 from commifornia.I shot a diamond back in the dessert when I was 17 and still have the rattle.I want to build a tiny house like yours it’s awesome.I want to build it in a red state though not in California.I’m planning on moving closer to my family in Arkansas.appreciate y’all 😜
Have you moved yet?
@@thomasmartin8202 no I still plan on moving.I purchased a brand new 6x10 cargo trailer last October for the move and was using for a dessert trip out with friends for a three day camping trip and on the highway returning home some idiot hit the back left trailer and put me in a spin and flipped and totaled the trailer and damaged my truck.I injured my back in the accident and his crappy insurance won’t cover my losses.
I'm just glad that Merle is ok😌
What a beautiful little house. All anyone needs.
It took you 17 years to figure that out? That's the first thing anyone who's ever talked about rattlesnakes says
bro one time me and my friend were in the lower valley right outside the western Mojave and we jumped a fence and came down on a baby rattle snake the little fucker swiped at my friend and actually bit his shorts.
@@macbook802 It's also the first sign that those people have no idea what they're talking about, sadly.
Out of the 8,000 rattlesnake bites a year in the U.S. less than 10 are typically fatal. Of course try telling that to the 9 people who died last year.
Glad to hear you, Merle and your friend are okay.
Buy one of those .410 snake charmers you should be able to find one just about anywhere with in snake country!
Greetings from Southern South Carolina! Great content! Appreciate y'all!
Wouldn't matter what accent Hannah had , she is just a beautiful person, period !
Much love and respect to you and your Pops from the 🌽 fields of Indiana!!! Stay safe, stay blessed and stay dangerous!!! #SemperFi 🤠👍 Edit: I can't wait to watch y'all lay the smack down on some big bucks this year!!!
They’re great ain’t they ? Such good people . I had to reply
To this cus my Mom is from the 🌽fields of Indians as well . Little town called Greencastle , Putnam County . Grew up on Cornfield/ Soy bean farm . From The Blue Ridge Mtns of Georgia - hello to you !
@@AuRennes.z2 That's right by where I'm at Lol... Hey stay safe, stay blessed and stay dangerous!!!
Hey Hanna, consider rattlesnake avoidance training for Merle, as well as any of your other dogs. I know the training works because I have been doing the training here in Arizona for almost 20 years. The closest trainer to you, that I’m aware, is Southeast reptile rescue
In Georgia. Keep your puppy safe get him trained.
You know, there's no danger of those timber rattlers going extinct. Why worry about paying for training your animal, when it may not work when you can simply get rid of the threat?
@dixiehandyman There's no danger of humans going extinct either. Time for open season on scumbags like her.
Hate Rattle Snakes, use to see a lot when haying. Snuffed a few out over the years as well. Look forward to your Bow hunting vids!..Stay safe,Cheers From Ontario Canada..
Sounds like they have a reason to hate you and you don't have a reason to hate them.
@@curtism-w6b in your opinion of course. Have fun trolling others comments.
@@curtism-w6b kill em all. Menace.
Hanna.. Ur truly amazing!! No need for approval to bring home lol. Always great watching all ur videos
Watching from the Philippines...I love that accent of yours, take care always.
Be careful when you open the lid to the meter!

The black snake is a dominant species and as such, will keep the venomous snakes away.
Just come across your channel, I must have been living under a rock for too long haha.
What a beauty.
Oh my gawd, I love dat accent. I can listen to her talk all day!
Merleeee! Glad you’re ok little buddy. Short leg problems 😂
Timber Rattlers are a lil more chill,,, We have them in a few Ohio counties, The snake might not have even rattled, A diamond back is a mean sob
But glad pup wasnt with you
Hannah you do know that a rattle snake can bite up to several hours after you have killed it so be careful even though it is dead . and that is a fact .Love your videos
Whaaaaatt 😳
She lives in the country so I'm sure she knows that
@@thigpen79 When the nerve of a newly dead snake is stimulated, the channels in the nerves will open up, allowing ions to pass through. This creates an electrical impulse that enables the muscle to carry out a reflexive action, like a bite, even after several hours after its death. So never be close to a dead venomous snakes. Same goes for Cobras and other vipers too
A lot of times people cut the heads off and bury them deep in the ground for this reason.
@@charliemike13 Yeah, at least 6-12 inches deep - those severed heads can dig their way out of a shallow hole filled with loose dirt!
“Yep, I give it to my Grandfather, he’ll cook anything.” Even without hearing her, I’d have a fair idea of what part of the country is involved.😄
Where there’s one, you know, so ALWAYS keep an eye out for them. When I lived in Montana, I saw lots of them. Never had a problem, but if they were in my yard, well, I’m with you. !!
I'm still waiting for you an your mom to do a video from when you
were building the floor on your gym and you asked us if you wanted
to see more of your mom in your video's? yeah still waiting Hannah.
I'd want the S&W .410 revolver if I had snakes around regularly. Seems like it would be a great snake gun.
every gun is a good snake gun!!
22 with rat show is the best
I second that .410 idea. I had bought some of those snake shot cartridges for my .357 and shot a few into the ground to get an idea of the spray pattern. Yikes, pretty wide from a safe distance to be an affective defense. Actually the plastic capsule made a decent hole in the ground and would likely be what would kill the snake.
@@kurtloptien185 the Snake Shot will blast the Crap outta a snake, I ruined a nice Copperhead with one
I have a rusty old H&R .410 single shot in my shed for copper heads. We have pugs.
It's been awhile since I've watched one of these videos. Miss Hannah looks like she's loosing a bit of her baby face and turning into a young woman.
Found out yesterday I have the C word. Can you and your dad pray for me and my son Max’. Luv you guys.
Prayers sent. God Bless
Prayers Mr Baggs I have a cat scan in the morning getting old sucks some days
Jesus 😳
People like this should be eliminated by a plague that just takes dambasses. A GROUND RATTLESNAKE???
❤❤❤ Hannah's voice is pure heaven.
