If you guys don't know him, look him up. His story is really inspiring. Much love from Denmark Tyler (and of course Larry), if either of you are reading this.
I love you two together! LAV and Kyle Defoor was awesome too. My favorite gun in my grandpa's 870 in .410 because it was his and it's the first firearm that I shot. He left it to me when he passed.
This video really spoke to me, when I was a kid my family would go to the county fair every year. At the fair, when I was 3 years old my grandpa bought me a cap gun western style revolver. Later that night we put the caps in it and shot it off in our backyard and I was a goner from there. 18 years later I've got my concealed carry permit and carry my 1911 daily
This video took me back to the time I started with guns.First gun I ever shot was a smith&wesson .38 special, that my grandpa gave to me before he died. That .38 special hooked me on guns. Now that Im older,my favorite guns are still smith&wesson revolvers, namely smith&wesson 357magnums.
Just wanted to say how proud I am of how far you've come, all around since I first caught wind of you years ago. Attending your 1199 Operator's Course is a highlight of my shooting career. Semper Fi from Comanche Mike in CT.
I'll focus on guns you haven't posted videos of already... XM177E1 and E2 (or a preview of the Colt Classic repro) , SOG RPD, Type 56, FN CSR-20 and the SIG 550 family (I know you have a video on the 552, but would like one on the 550 and 553.)
I have a hankering for piston-driven ARs. My first was a Ruger SR 556 with an A2 stock and an EoTech. Man, I loved that gun. One of these days I have to head out to Vegas and try an HK416.
I remember the .22's at Boy Scout camp and how we had to learn gun safety the day before we could shoot. After what seemed like forever we only got to shoot a few rounds, but man did it leave an impression.
That's crazy you guys hit the nail on the head for me, I've had a thing for guns ever since I can remember. My first gun I was allowed to have was a single shot pellet gun when I was like 11 or 12, plinking in the backyard. Then my older cousin's Cooey bolt action 22, shooting gophers and cans. I became a really serious gun guy after I left the army but guns were a big motivator for me to join in the first place, among other things, back when I was 18. I've always thought the MP5 was the coolest gun ever (still do) and when I finally got to shoot one in the army, it was a big tick on my bucket list. That and a full auto AK. Awesome video.
At 4 years old I shot a Mossberg 142A .22lr bolt action, it was my dad's and he took me to shoot it, I was hooked that day and have never looked back since. I still own that rifle and will one day teach my children to shoot on it.
After being a hero and inspiration in the GORUCK community, it is great to see Tyler collaborating with LAV. If you guys do a civilian class (pistol, AR-15), I'd sign up in a heartbeat.
Firearms, the outdoors & 4x4's, I don't remember ever not being into them. In the 6th grade most kids are reading comic books in the school library, but I was reading books on camping & wilderness survival. (They didn't have any gun books.) I didn't have a subscription to "Playboy" or "Sports Illustrated" as a teenager. Instead I was reading "Guns", "American Rifleman", "North American Hunter", "JP" & "Petersen's 4Wheel & Offroad". I got an M16 BB gun when I was eight, and I thought that was the coolest thing in the world, but even by then my love affair with firearms was already a few years old.
Tyler and Larry just want to say thanks! Not so much for your videos even tho they are awesome. It more a thanks so we all can watch them because of all the that serve. God bless you guys and see you on the range.
Nice one Larry... Plus,if possible, make videos on WW1/WW2 guns too.Yeah we all know there're plenty of videos about them on UA-cam but you got a unique style of presenting these stuffs.
Thank you, LAV and Tyler! I cannot put my finger on it but... this was an awesome vid. Maybe because of the personal nature of it. Looking forward to training with you again soon.
As always, great content! Always a good day when I see a VT video has been uploaded. Would also be awesome to see a series on chines firearms. Qbz 95 or 03, type 85, the Js series, etc. never see those anywhere in the states
Great video as usual LAV. Good to hear a lot of us gun guys started at an early age. One point of critique though, you address your favorite group of firearms as "assault rifles." This is a term created by liberal politicians to create fear. Respectfully, please don't address them as such. It does not help our cause confirming their fictional labels. Thank you, and keep up the good work.
"Assault rifle" is a valid term, engineering-wise, maybe the term you are referring to is "assault weapon" - that's the one the gun-grabbers and lefties created - and it is total B.S.
Tooo funny,my first gun i got to shoot was a Winchester single shot 22,i was six years old and shot a pop can and made it bounce,i was hooked for life, that was back in 1968 when I was eight years old.My favorite guns are geared more for hunting except for high cap 9mm handguns.
My favourite gun would have to be the Steyr AUG. I just love the look of it. Unfortunately I haven't fired one yet. My favourite fun that I have fired is the MP40. I always liked the gun in video games and it felt pretty similar when I fired it.
I had the same thoughts as Tyler regarding the MP5. I remember making them out of Duplo blocks as a kid running around the farm smoking imaginary bad guys. Now I own one and every time I pick it up I giggle inside and it makes me feel like a kid again, in a weird way.
Telescopic ammunition will be the wave of the future. Eugene Stoner worked hard at it & said that that was the only way to get the performance we need. He still holds many patents on it, even after his death.
solid video of you and Tyler just doing your thing. more please !!! You should also make a vid of you guys getting your hands on thevFG- 42. one of my favorite WW2 assault rifles that I hardly ever see. ;-)
love seeing Unit guys getting together and shooting the shit. Tyler is a straight up bad ass too. lets see some shooting. also LAV, what's up with getting Pat Mac on the channel???
I'm gonna sound like some old timer war veteran i think lol. This video brought me back to CoD World at War. God that game was awesome and it has all those cool old guns featured in it. Easily my favorite CoD, so this is really cool.
G3 platform brought me into the firearms world. And forever are they one of my top rifles. And now I want to do a G3 DMR build based off of what you see from few EGB Fallschirmjäger guys
coolest guns ever not in any particular order of preference, though: -1866 Winchester 'Yellowboy' -Gewehr 43 -Mauser 98 rifle German variants -M1 Garand -MG-42 original German variants -Thompson submachine gun with the foregrip -MP5 submachine gun
I remember my first bb gun at 3 years old. going into the backyard everyday and shooting tin cans. and then a pellet gun. and then time went on and I got a 20 gauge at 11 and a 30-06. then my interest went toward surplus and I saved my pennies and bought a mosin. I'm 15 and have 12 long guns! it's a addiction that is hard to shake.
But then a half a year later my grandfather (who taught me how to shoot and let me shoot my grandmothers 500.) got me a Daisy buck bb gun. And i've had it ever since. Looks like it's been through hell and back but it still functions well.
I remember the 1st firearm i dhot was when i was 8 years old it was a s&w 357 magnum with a 8 3/8 barrel. I also remember the three guns i always wanted was a 1911, ak47 underfolder, and a rpg.
Any plans to do a series of British small arms videos like you just did with the Russian guns? Be cool to see the SA80, L129A1 or L115A3 make an appearance :) Awesome video by the way.
One of my fav all time is the mp5, however it is still out of reach for most civilians. So I got a CZ Scorpion EVO instead... Ever shot one of those before Vickers?
First gun I ever laid hands on was a knight muzzleloader. Second was a government model 1911 that started my interest in firearms what got me hooked me and my family went to my uncles house in North Carolina we took a Mac 90 with us and it was the first gun I ever shot I was 6 and it was like a drug to me I started stealing all of my dads books and gun magazines and read the books multiple times. Guns that peak my interest M60 MP5 AK47 74 M16 M4 And the good ole m1911
I feel cliche saying my favorite gun is a 1911 or an AR, so I'm going to pull a wildcard....the Remington Model 8 which takes me into the age old "who had the first assault rifle" debate. I don't know if it's true, but I have read that there were a few select fire Model 8's sent for evaluation prior to the first world war. If that holds true then Mr. Browning scores yet another win. Would a select fire Model 8 be controllable in full auto? Hell no, but 30 rem, 35 rem, and 25 rem where definately intermediate cartridges if there were any in the early 1900's. Awesome video, if I were asked what my idea of the perfect show is, this would be it. Yes the sacred Sturmgewehr is the first true assault rifle....don't shoot.
I began my love affair with firearms around age 8. I grew up with Roy Rogers, Gene Autry, Paladin, the Rifleman and the rest of the American Western Heros.
I guess I never realized it before just now but I must be a grenade launcher guy. Growing up I was obsessed with the M16/M203 combo and the gun I've wanted to shoot but haven't is the M32 MGL. Huh. Learned something about myself just now. Sure wish 40mm HE rounds were civilian legal (or just legal for me).
I remember as a kid drawing banana shaped mags for rifles ( as in ak's ) before i even knew anything more about guns then that they say bang! Allso how all children makes pump action shotgun loading noices whenever they are playing around With imaginary guns :)

Glad to see Tyler becoming a regular on here... Thanks for the great content!
Yeah definetely. His story - the challenges he has overcome - are all very inspiring.
Vickers Tactical - do one of these with Pat Mac!
Tyler was the guy from "Why I Fought" right? That guy is AWESOME
If you guys don't know him, look him up. His story is really inspiring. Much love from Denmark Tyler (and of course Larry), if either of you are reading this.
+Christoffer Juhlin Yes sir, and you're right, great guy.

It's awesome to see these back and forth sessions, plus the unicorn gun talk. Good stuff team LAV

The SD3 is certainly cool as Tyler said. I loved the .50 cal, particularly from a turret mount.
Let us know what your favorite guns are below are and the gun you'd most like to shoot and we'll include some of them in future videos!!
Have you done a Top 5 or 10 9mm pistols in the World video? or 45 ACP pistols?
mg42 please
Can you revisit the SCAR Mk17?
I'll focus on guns you haven't posted videos of already... XM177E1 and E2 (or a preview of the Colt Classic repro) , SOG RPD, Type 56, FN CSR-20 and the SIG 550 family (I know you have a video on the 552, but would like one on the 550 and 553.)
my favorite gun I'll love to shoot... Russian Ak 107

I am working with Tyler now- he is an amazing guy in every way!
I could listen to these two talk blasters all day.
Awesome video,,, its good seeing the Very Best in the World talk so Normal and Humble.
Two badass individuals right there! Thank ya'll for everything

It's a real honor to be able to watch heroes like you and Tyler thanks, how about a video with the South Koren's service rifles the Deawoos.
Tyler and Larry just want to say thanks! Not so much for your videos even tho they are awesome. It more a thanks so we all can watch them because of all the that serve. God bless you guys and see you on the range.
Love it! Love hearing you just talk about these guns sir. Please just hit record and make more. They're awesome.

Great to see the passion of you two about firearms.
Keep your amazing content coming Larry.
Cheers.
I served in Iran's army with HK G3. Loved him.
Thank you, LAV and Tyler!
I cannot put my finger on it but... this was an awesome vid. Maybe because of the personal nature of it.
Looking forward to training with you again soon.
And thank you for making quality videos with great content and guest.
The MG42 and it's modern deviations are something i would really like to hear Larry and Tyler talk about.
the first gun I shot was the same 22 as well. Made by Remington, single shot, bolt action, and you had to manual pull the bolt back. Awesome gun.
Amazing !!! Its a pleasure listen two HEROES !!
Colt 1911

If you can get your hands on them, do a future video(s) of the modified Pecheneg "badyuka" and the modified AK-74 "bull-pap".
Larry, it would be great if you could do some more reviews on old classic guns like garand, svt-40, ppsh or Walter ppk
The gun I have been wanting really bad lately, a Wilson Combat CQB or Vickers Elite.
Ok let's stop sucking up . I do enough of that .. Lol
solid video of you and Tyler just doing your thing. more please !!! You should also make a vid of you guys getting your hands on thevFG- 42. one of my favorite WW2 assault rifles that I hardly ever see. ;-)

What a cool answer from LAV ..the Stg44. Larry what is your favorite pre 1944 weapon? And post Stg44?
Larry, Tyler, MP5SD3, Sturmgewehr, G11.................D-boys like their Teutonic goodness.
Let's see some PTR-91 rifles in action. Bust out the HK91 on that table!
G3 platform brought me into the firearms world. And forever are they one of my top rifles. And now I want to do a G3 DMR build based off of what you see from few EGB Fallschirmjäger guys
+Raven 212 I just bought a PTR 91 GI R that's super nice
Chopped down RPD like SOG or Selous Scouts used back in the day.
My coolest gun , a 1908 Dwm Mauser that action was surplus, never built on before i got it lsdt year. original chambering in 7x57 .
For me JROTC when I was introduced to the M1 and how it functioned and stripped.
Yuugeee fan....I hope you can do a special on the FAL and the Imbel IA-2
coolest guns ever not in any particular order of preference, though:
-1866 Winchester 'Yellowboy'
-Gewehr 43
-Mauser 98 rifle German variants
-M1 Garand
-MG-42 original German variants
-Thompson submachine gun with the foregrip
-MP5 submachine gun
Whaaaat ?!?! 2 delta operators thats so cool. keep the videos coming. tyler from my town.

👍
I started out at 8 years old on a 12 gauge mossberg 500. Kicked like a bitch but here i am 10 years later wanting one for my first firearm.
But then a half a year later my grandfather (who taught me how to shoot and let me shoot my grandmothers 500.) got me a Daisy buck bb gun. And i've had it ever since. Looks like it's been through hell and back but it still functions well.

Definitely, we have it on the list!
Cool, man! Looking forward to those!
Awesome choice in the G11.
Fantastic video Larry 👍
Is there anyway we could get a tour of your personal collection? I think that would be awesome....
Hands down a Ultimax mark 3 would be my pick for favorite gun.
Isn't the MP5SD3 the same firearm that the SAS used on Opereration Nimrod?
LAV I'm a big fan keep it up brother.
Why I Fought: Larry Vickers
I love these guys!!! Real Americans ;-)
These guys look so comfortable together.
One of my fav all time is the mp5, however it is still out of reach for most civilians. So I got a CZ Scorpion EVO instead... Ever shot one of those before Vickers?
Larry, can you do a video on the Type 95/Type 97 from Norinco? I would love to hear what you have to say about them.
I knew he was going to say HK G11 I was thinking it just as he started to saying it!
Would love to see more of these :)
First time I ever heard of G11 was Jagged Alliance 2. LOL
Wow glad I clicked on this Knowledge being dropped 💪❤️😎

Any ak 74 for favorite gun. I like to see a video on a cz 805 bren. First gun ruger 10/22, still love it.
Nice to see the BTDT guys telling the rest even SOF are often not "gun guy" Most I speak with are not. Per usual, LAV talks no BS.
Ha! I learned on the same 22 in the boy scouts
Guns that peak my interest
M60
MP5
AK47 74
M16 M4
And the good ole m1911
Another cool video, love be the personal Q . Thanks
Please make a video with the first gun you fired?

Oh, another archer! :)
I began my love affair with firearms around age 8. I grew up with Roy Rogers, Gene Autry, Paladin, the Rifleman and the rest of the American Western Heros.
MORE!!
I guess I never realized it before just now but I must be a grenade launcher guy. Growing up I was obsessed with the M16/M203 combo and the gun I've wanted to shoot but haven't is the M32 MGL. Huh. Learned something about myself just now. Sure wish 40mm HE rounds were civilian legal (or just legal for me).
is there a video of y'all shooting that G3?
AGREED MP5SD3 GREATEST SUB GUN EVER!
I remember as a kid drawing banana shaped mags for rifles ( as in ak's ) before i even knew anything more about guns then that they say bang! Allso how all children makes pump action shotgun loading noices whenever they are playing around With imaginary guns :)
Does Tyler have a social media page to follow? Facebook, Instagram, UA-cam .etc?
Recoil Alliance yes
This was dope!!!
Radom P35 made in Poland arguably the best pistole of WW2. My dad let me carry it deer hunting along with my 303 Enfield! Got my first buck at 14 ! HOOKED !
great video more like this
I remember when I lost my gunginity...
The picture for the MP5 SD3 is a airsoft gun.
hey what do you think of the l85a2 and have you fired it ?
D-Boys in full force
What's a hyper burst gun?
Will yo guys ever get a chance to get your hands on a FAMAS?
Favorite gun: I am going to be boring and say suppressed 1022. Just for cheap hilarious plinking all day long. Want to shoot that I have not already: Barret M82 with raufuss raunds at long range at some cool reactive target :D Would be so much fun!
***** They sure are! :)
