If CD4 count is less than 200 then PCP is the likely cause of pneumonia. If CD4 count is between 200 to 500 then the pathogens causing pneumonia would be same for HIV patient as for the immunocompetent individuals.
Might be possible that they will not give the number but surely mention about low or less or decrease cd count or at least mention about hiv history In the other hand if they aks about streptococcus pneumonia aka pneumococcus, most probably they will mention about catalase test or meningitis history.
