- Hi guys. In this video, we have explained the different types of cannulas which we use commonly in our hospital setup. This is very important whenever you are managing your patient and also for your various MCQ examinations (for doctors & nurses).
Sometimes it becomes difficult to remember the correct color & the gauge size. To make it an easy task for you, we have given a mnemonic so as to help you memorize the correct color, size & flow rate (do watch this video till the end)!

Mnemonic is 1st no. are consecutive multiples of 2... 2,4,6,10 (even the 20 btw). Awesome video! Will be of great help in the upcoming PG exams too.

Very good mnemonic to remember the IV cannulas.
Sir, In Sickle Cell Anaemia,we often use 24 and 26 Gauge of cannulas in adults as its quite difficult to find good peripheral veins..☺ Sir your videos are very simple and easy to understand for a nurse like me..and love your presentation skill..Hats off 👏 ❤
