"I think about your sight. cap 3: jealousy", the song narrates from the husband's perspective, talking about how he constantly thinks about what (or more importantly, who) the wife's looking at whenever she steps outside of the house and how it affects him. the first lines mean "It gives me fear whenever you step outside, smiling to the street. Because everybody can see, the little dimples that come out (of your cheeks)" - "And of the air when it passes, due to lifting your hair. And of the gold that dresses you, due to hanging on your neck. And of the sun and the moon, due to you wanting to stare at them. Even of the water that you drink, when you wet your lips". the chorus translates to "I think about your sight, your sight, your sight, it's a bullet in the chest." which gives meaning to all the men with bleeding chests in the video, it's basically the men she looked at. please check out ROSALÍA - BAGDAD (Cap.7: Liturgia)
guys just to clarify, “El Mal Querer” is not about a relationship she was in. The album is based on a book from centuries ago that talked about the relationship between a man and a woman. There’s a whole story behind this album and i’m sorry i cant explain all of it to you guys, but in case you’re interested in understanding it here’s a video, it has english subtitles: ua-cam.com/video/NgHXFTgaVT0/v-deo.html

You were totally right about the bullet, the bull, and the olive!! Because she sings something like " I'm thinking of your fixed gaze, it's like a bullet straight through to the heart" (in relation to his jealousy and how he tries to control her)
Guys, all that videos and songs talk about a book called Flamenca. It’s a very old book, written in the XIV century. Every song is a cap. from the book as you can see. The storie is about a girl who gets married with an abusive guy. It’s all the album El Mal Querer connected, and also, all the album and videos has references of the Flamenco, from Spain, and the places where she grows up, the culture of the country and things that she loves the must. You better listen the whole album and read the lyrics, it’s a lot in there.
Hi from Spain. It's exactly what you said. The bull's eye is the bullet. The song talks about that look of jealousy that kills you. About that person who doesn't want you to hang out with friends or alone so everyone could see your smile, your hair... A person who is jealous of the jewelry you wear because it touches your skin. Jealous of the wind... That person, his look, is a bullet to your chest.
Sorry no. The bull represents being *cuckolded*. (Que te meten los cuernos). The "eyes" are *Mal de ojo* or a curse she is going to shoot into her cheating lover.
To those who don't speak Spanish or understand the Symbolism...The song is about Jealousy. All the symbols are about Jealousy. -The bull's horns represent being *cuckolded* (cheated on by a lover). Stabbed in the back by the horns. -The "bullets" Rosalia puts in the shotgun are "eyes" as in "Mal de ojo" or a curse/evil spell that she is going to shoot into her cheating lover. -The truck drivers are infamous as lying cheaters with a a girlfriend in each town. -The black clothed figures are *agüeros* or *Omens" - the *Ides* or bearers of evil tidings. The *Ides* are for the settling of debts. In other words they are whispering that her lovers are cheating on her, and urging her into a jealous rage to kill him. A dance of death.

El mal querer (English: The Bad Loving) is the second studio album by Spanish singer Rosalía, released on 2 November 2018 through Sony Music. The album was written by Rosalía and co-produced with El Guincho, who would also participate in the composition of some themes. Presented as experimental and conceptual, revolving around a toxic relationship, the album was inspired by the anonymous 13th-century Occitan novel Flamenca. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/El_mal_querer
It’s actually based on an old Spanish book, Flamenco. It’s about a man who gets jealous and basically imprisons his wife and eventually she comes out on top. So what I’ve heard.
That's not what the album "El Mal Querer" is about, tho. It's about a book named "Flamenca". She was inspired by it, and every song is a chapter from the book. You should search for the story, it's pretty amazing, she's so fucking talented as a musician. It's freaking amazing...
Additional to the explanation already given, I would add that this is actually her second album that came out on Nov. 2018, not sure why you had the information that she was "out" for 3 years.. her previous album came out on 2017, which was the first (is more a traditional flamenco oriented music, but still fresh in comparison to other traditional works). She appeared some years ago on a tv show (similar to bgt or the voice) and she was eventually rejected at the time - that drove her to keep studying and specializing in music so she made a 10 years music (conservatory, production and composition) career, and El Mal Querer (which is this album) was her bachelor's degree's project - not to compare but utterly similar to Steven Spielberg's final project to complete his bachelor of arts, which was "only" Schindler's List :)
Is not about a toxic relationship that she had. she creates an album called “El mal querer” which means: “the bad love” and this album is about a old Spanish book that she read for his last degree essay. The book narrates the story of a woman being punish by his husband so each song represents a chapter of the book. And the album came out last year around march 2018.
Please do a reaction of Rosalia's "De Aqui No Sales"! Its the most aggressive and experimental song in the album, meant to portray the violence and abuse in the relationship. And the video is amazing, of course.

She wasn’t in a bad relationship, she is doing a comparative of a relationship described in an old book (that describes machism) and the type relationship in present
Yes, you're right the olive she"s eating is the same olive in the bull"s eye and the same she is reloading as a bullet in the shotgun. "Pienso en tu mirada, una bala clavada en el pecho" when I think how you stare at me I feel like a bullet shooted to my chest. If you are interested in that album, there is a famous video explaining the music with subtitles in English ua-cam.com/video/NgHXFTgaVT0/v-deo.html
Accually, the album us based on a veeeery old book. Like from the romans or something and Rosalia has made a song for every chapter of that book. The book is about a abusive relationship and every chapter tells something about that relationship, so she has made a song for everything. (Idk if i have explained It well😂😅)
"Pienso en tu Mirá" = I think of your gaze. She basically says her couple's gaze feel like a bullet to the chest, that's why they are all bleeding from the chest in the clip.

He isn't from the KKK. He is a NAZARENO, is typical of Holy Week un SPAIN. The Nazarenos they remember the obligatory complement that accompanied those convicted of the Inquisition as penance for certain crimes, thus reminding both them and the rest of society of what infraction they had committed and the punishment for it. This is long hahaha... So first the lyrics, she sings from the point of view of the Guy :- i think of your gaze, your gaze, your gaze nailed it's like a bullet to the chest- so yes the olive it's like the gaze so that's why she puts them into the shotgun and she bites the olive breaking the gaze of him watching her all the time, the people around her represents his presence over her all the time :- i'm scared when you go out smiling to the street because everyone can see the little dimples you get, and i'm scared of the wind 'cause it lifts your hair, and of the gold that you wear because it's tied to your neck, and of the Sky and the Moon because you wanna see them even of the water you drink because It wets your Lips- the end is like she finally can break free so that's why the truck it's like that ... Love your videos :)
guys, "con altura" is a rara avis in rosalia's discography, if you wanna understand her songs you better start translating the lyrics instead of guessing lol
Her red and yellow clothes at the end of the video represent the colours of the spanish flag. please... react to a great version from Rosalia of an old song called Me quedo contigo.
Greetings from Spain dear youtube, So the fact that Rosalía is talking about a toxic relationship along her album is true. It's about her and her ex-boyfriend C.Tangana, who's a trendy spanish trap artist. So this guy also based his work around that relationship with Rosalia, talking by his side, and how she left her bc of his bad behaviors. This song in particular talks about how they met. They even have songs together that you should react too. I'll leave you some. xoxoxo love your videos ua-cam.com/video/t0nGUf52abU/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/RxKVWs_qYBk/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/nsm4ReJaED0/v-deo.html
"I am scared when you go out smiling for the street because everyone can see the dimples you get, I am scared when you go out smiling for the street because everyone can see the dimples you get. and the air when you go through lifting your hair, and the gold you saw for tying around your neck, and the moon sky because you want to look at it, even the water you drink when you wet your lips. I think of you looking at your staring at a bullet stuck in the chest, I think about your looking at your staring at a bullet stuck in the chest I think about your looking at your staring at a bullet in the chest I think about your looking ... I think about your looking. I am scared when you go out smiling for the street because everyone can see the dimples you get I am scared when you go out smiling for the street because everyone can see the dimples you get. so pretty that it threatens when you shut up you scare me as cold as the snow when it falls from the sky, when you go out the door I think you never come back and if I don't hold you tight I feel it will be my fault. I feel in your gaze your stare a bullet in the chest always in your gaze your stare a bullet in the chest being your stare a bullet nailed in the chest I feel in your gaze ... I feel in your gaze. I'm scared when you smile on the street because everyone can see the dimples that come out of you I'm scared when you smile on the street because everyone can see the dimples on you ..."
Idk if it’s the same in spain, but in Puerto Rico, the horns symbolize she’s been cheated on. In our culture it’s actually really disrespectful to wholeheartedly call someone a “cabron” because it means you trying him his wife cheated on him.
"I think about your sight. cap 3: jealousy", the song narrates from the husband's perspective, talking about how he constantly thinks about what (or more importantly, who) the wife's looking at whenever she steps outside of the house and how it affects him. the first lines mean "It gives me fear whenever you step outside, smiling to the street. the chorus translates to "I think about your sight, your sight, your sight, it's a bullet in the chest." which gives meaning to all the men with bleeding chests in the video, it's basically the men she looked at.

So beautiful that it's threatening,

When you go out that door
I think that you'll never come back
And if I don't hold onto you tight,

Yes, although she read a tad too much into that alleged visual pun, i.e. the bull's-eye, which does not mean "diana" in Spanish as it does in English.
You have to react to Rosalía's "BAGDAD (Cap.7: Liturgia)"

Rosalia es Catalana!¡
SD Muni - The start
Her red and yellow clothes at the end of the video represent the colours of the spanish flag. please... react to a great version from Rosalia of an old song called Me quedo contigo.
Greetings from Spain dear youtube,
So the fact that Rosalía is talking about a toxic relationship along her album is true.
I'll leave you some.
xoxoxo love your videos

Even for a Spanish speaker it's very difficult to understand Rosalia's videos because she uses metaphors all the time
