American Ice Theatre (AIT) is a professional, artistic figure skating organization - in multiple locations across the country - working to empower and nurture contemporary skating by providing opportunities for education, performance, and outreach. Contemporary skating is an artistic method of figure skating that integrates skating skills with expressive choreography, modern dance movement, and improvisation techniques. Our AIT Boston Professional Company is an ensemble made up of local, contemporary skaters who have trained in many of these creative and non-traditional dance techniques. 2022 AIT Boston Professional Company Members include Kelly Annese, Brittany Ballard, Hilary Clausius, Toby Evett, Johanna Geary, Amanda Greel, Abby Pierce, Julia Rapela, Gillian Robidas, and Kat Vitaro. The Co-CEO of American Ice Theatre, as well as the AIT Boston Director, Kate McSwain, choreographed this contemporary skating piece entitled, "Walls."

This is contemporary skating - similar to TOI - but we do not compete in Theatre on Ice. We are a professional contemporary skating organization that does artistic ensemble performances :) With that said, I do agree that synchro should be in the Olympics!!!
