Canadian Ice Dancers Lily Hensen and Nathan Lickers rehearse their 2021-22 Senior Free Dance to the soundtrack of Ghost ahead of competing at the Championnats Québécois d'été. Lily and Nathan are coached by Scott Moir at the Ice Academy of Montreal - Ontario. Their Free Dance is choreographed by Sheri Moir and Scott Moir, with music design by Hugo Chouinard, and additional composition by Karl Hugo. Filmed in August 2021 at Centre Gadbois in Montreal, QC by Jordan Cowan of On Ice Perspectives.

Thanks to video camera stabilizers or cell phone. I think all shaky unprofessional hand held video footage should be banned in this day and age. Many of us out there get violently ill with shaky camera footage.

I didn't know that this team was Canadian but watching them skate put me in mind of Tessa and Scott. Then I read that Scott is their coach. I am very impressed with them, if that's not already obvious by their having brought Tessa and Scott to mind while skating.
same here, though in a slightly different direction. i'm so missing the complete package that virtue/moir brings to their skating that this new team's skating is just making me miss virtue/moir more, especially tessa. i'm struggling to find new female ice dancers that fill that void for me.
I wrote a long comment but my computer ate it. This is Moir's first team or one of his first teams to coach, yes? With time, he and his teams will develop although V/M hard to beat.
@@betteurbain7911 i know this team, including the coaching team, is all brand new, but tessa and scott already had that connection with each other even as juniors which made them already special right at the beginning. of course, i do hope this new team will eventually develop that connection further on

Scott Moir coached these guys! I felt the influednce of Scott before I looked up their info. WOW--it was beautiful!
It took a little while for me to wake up to how the video was being made - the video camera is being skated by someone else who is also a very good skater. Remarkable. Scott Moir has a big future ahead of him coaching if his talent rubs off so quickly. Love this video. 💓 It seems that we need to worry less about size matching if skaters have talent and good coaching.

This was mesmerizing i was so drawn into the fluidity of the skating and felt the love in the way they connected this is the best that i have ever seen Bravo to the both of them..looking forward to seeing more..wow just WOW
Watching this On Ice... is halfway between being in the stands and actually being the skaters. Its a miracle. And its not just documenting the unique beauty of the human motion that is skating, but creating an uncanny beauty all its own. You are amazing.

This is so beautiful. Ice skating was one of my favorite hobbies as a child and over the years I kind of fell out of it due to life in general/moving around. I'm in medical school now studying for 4 exams next week and this video made me realize how much I miss skating :( Going home for thanksgiving next week and you bet I'm taking those old skates out of the box and hitting the rink soon.
And take your skates at your studying town with you. It will give you strenght to get through those demanding years !

Thats common if its a practice and not a performance , the other skaters respected them and its considered there ice during the dance , that's what they did . The challenge is for the filmography , the Filmer is an incredible skater as well .

even if they have the perfect coach that all dance couples dream of having as a coach unfortunately they are not perfection from my point of view: they do not have the same chemistry and the same talent that scott and tessa had !!!.... among the very young there are at least four new couples who have achieved the perfection of talent-chemistry and fluency in skating that scott and tessa had, these couples are: american brothers Oona Brown and Gage Brown, another american couple of Leah Neset and Artem Markelov JR, and the Swedish twins couple Greta Crafoord and John Crafoord, and the couple of Eva Pate and Logan Bye .... look on youtube for the videos of their artistic performances and then you'll understand why I don't think this couple is special ...

Valerie, I agree with you but for different reasons. I think this fellow is terrific but she appears to have no connection with him, no personality and always looks mad. He reaches out but she does not respond or even look at him. He needs a different, better partner. I am one of a few who Tessa and Scott were not my favorites. While they are fantastic, my favs were Charlie White and Merle Davis. I
