Hi Stefan, ich antworte auf deutsch, da ich aus deinem Englisch das teutonische erahne...;-) Nun, auch ein billiger Bausatz sollte in seinen Komponenten "passen". Leider sind auch die Originale über die Jahre nicht gleich geblieben und ein Problem mit den Zuliefer-Parts besteht in der Passgenauigkeit. Vor kurzem habe ich mir selber eine Tele gebaut (kein Bausatz, sondern aus dem rohen Holz gefertigt) Die Korpuskontur habe ich erst fertiggestellt, nachdem ich alle Aufbauteile genau an ihrem Platz hatte. Dabei erkennt man sofort die Stellen, an denen nachgearbeitet werden muß. Das Pickguard deiner Tele zeigt das in eindeutiger Weise. Mit der Halstasche scheinst du Glück gehabt zu haben, denn hier wird der Saitenverlauf festgelegt. Hm...die Kamerafahrt zum Schluss des Videos zeigt mir viel Platz auf der Diskantseite zur Halskante aber die Perspektive ist etwas ungünstig. Mit kleinen dünnen Furnierstreifen hochkant in der Halstasche kann man den Saitenverlauf geringfügig "begradigen".

looks like the low E is too close to the edge of the fretboard..
Nice job!! Does the neck on the HB kit come pre-finished or did you apply the finish to the neck? If so, what kind? And did you attempt to keep the finish off the frets? If so, how?

Naja,durch so ein Kit lernt man zwar ganz gut kennen,wie so eine Gitarre letztendlich konstruiert ist/wird,aber gerade Harley Benton Gitarren sind fertig schon gut und günstig,so das Ich mir das Headstocksägen und die Lackiererei nicht mehr antun würde.Da gibts fertig schon schöne Teles.
+LtdBoomer für mich geht's dabei ja auch nicht um den Preis, sondern um den Spaß an der Freude. Und etwas zu haben was sonst keiner hat ;)
