I'm going to join your school as soon as I an financially able. It is my first choice, one because of your knowledge and also you are a Christian and do not approach some of it from new age magic potions as some herbalists do.

As a scientist and new herbalist, the more I learn the more I realise I don't know. And I love it! I see things that work, but don't know how and that's half the joy! I have the feeling a lot comes down to energetics, and I'm trying to learn more. Thank you for an awesome post! Keep the curiosity going folks!

I received your books today. Read through the plant book quickly once already. When I settle in for the night, I'll be reading YOUR book! It's all so fascinating! In my yard alone I have so many of those "weeds" and have already made a few tinctures. I thank God that I found you on this planet or I may have never known...Thanks Doc!

So good to find someone who knows so much about plants and gives credit to the Lord who made them, and is not all witchy and new age.
1 Peter 5:5 ... Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” 6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,

Physics is mean! The history of the control of medicinal approaches is a fascinating topic especially in the UK. And can be summarised about being mostly about control and power distribution. Biochem pathways and how plants interact with them is always a never ending journey of question discovery. You don't know what you don't know until you know the questions to ask. And there are always more questions. You just need to discover them.

Love this! It's okay to not know! We aren't supposed to know it all (if we did, we wouldn't need God!). Thank you for the inspiration to think and question. I have been intentionally taking quiet time to just think. We used to do it, before screens and headphones and podcasts. A walk could clear one's mind, because it was time to think things through. Seems now people don't think. They look up an answer online, and if it's there, no matter how ridiculous, they go for it. If it's not there, they shrug and figure nobody knows, or it would pop up. Thinking so often turns into a moment of appreciation for all God does as well...because we realize how much we don't know. I don't think I ever leave nature without wondering what I missed, as well as marvelling in all the things I saw that I know are beneficial that God put there for us. Thaks!

Intentionally taking time for quiet reflection and focus is key to learning and discovery. I think God likes it when we pray. But what He really likes is when we take some time to step back, quiet our minds, wonder, ponder and listen. That's when real learning and discovery happen.

Oh jeesh - this one's going to be shared to everyone - especially to my Astro-physicist son who is hard-core when it comes to the scientific method. He's had multiple bad experiences from modern medical treatments, and the herbs I have in my pantry have often then solved the problem. He's also seen the improvements I've had on my hip going to an old acupuncturist from China. I love this video - the whole family will love it, but especially that one son.

Leaches are still used in hospitals today. For example if someone has a severed or nearly severed finger, they are used to help the circulation in order to save the finger.
