Thank you Mr Robert! You show, and explain, in a manner that brings it together for any guitar player who really wants it. You play very well. Loved the video. Thank you again!
what is the picking pattern on lick #1? I think that is also a big part of Zakk's technique. it seems to be a mixture of economy picking and alternate picking. would be nice to have an explanation of that as well as the licks notes . :D
Remember Farm Fiddlin' from the 1st guitars that rule the world Cd. That CD was awesome. Not a bad track. The Reb Beach, Malmsteen, Skolnick songs were also awesome.
What gear are you using in this video? Sounds very good. Very clear. Are you using any noise gate? If I play licks like that, when I stop there is always a hum, or another unwanted string ringing
As always, m y compliment. By the way, what nice modern looking Les Paul style guitar you are playing? It sounds great. Perhaps you could do a video to show your actuell stuff, including string gauges and plecs, pickups..Best regards, Chris from Poland
Those are natural harmonics, you pick an open string while lightly touching it with your fret-hand finger directly above a given fret. In that case was the 5th fret.
I need some advice if someone would kind enough to respond when I'm going from high E string to the low E string that direction I always start with an up stroke first it's just the way I always picked I guess it came naturally is that wrong thanx anybody
Jeffrey Hell it's whatever works for you. Look at people like Marty Friedman and how he picks, it's absolutely alien to most other people. It's whatever feels most natural and works for you. That's not to say you can't learn from others or adapt your playing the way you see someone else do it. But it's literally all preference unless it's a specific lick that has to be played a certain way to sound right.
Dissappointed. What was the point of this vid? I dunno your stuff man and this is the first one i watched, but if you wanna teach someone do it THE right way and put some effort. To everyone who wants to learn how to play Zakk's stuff watch Andy James vids (thats the real deal).

The solo for no more tears is a masterpiece
Damn right it is! Agreed!
100%. The single reason I picked up a guitar.
For sure! Miracle man also.
I always practice ascending as much descending. Play with a upwards picking as much as you can bro. It will level you up. Nice jam. Rock on
I am going to own that guitar one day _ still waiting.
Thank you Mr Robert! You show, and explain, in a manner that brings it together for any guitar player who really wants it. You play very well. Loved the video. Thank you again!
Really useful licks man, much appreciated.
I love the Road to Nowhere melody leads and solo
Sold my Soul IS my fave solo.
"Momma I'm coming home" is probably my favorite solo of all time.
The Pride and Glory is some of his best work, and Book of Shadows. Great video!
Has to be the opening track from No Rest For The Wicked.
He had to hit the floor running and he pulled it off.
What a ripper.
Robert you definitely should hear Zakk's Pride & Glory Riffs n' licks.
Those was/are the most incredible i've ever heard from him.

BLS- blackened waters solo!!!!
No more tears
Miracle man is the best Zakk solo
I personally like Devil's Daughter
I think pentatonics are one of the toughest things to practice...By the way nice tone!
As always, m y compliment. By the way, what nice modern looking Les Paul style guitar you are playing? It sounds great. Perhaps you could do a video to show your actuell stuff, including string gauges and plecs, pickups..Best regards, Chris from Poland

Crazy train solo
Crazy Train is Randy Rhodes not Zakk
How do play that real high tone in the end of the intro
Those are natural harmonics, you pick an open string while lightly touching it with your fret-hand finger directly above a given fret. In that case was the 5th fret.
@@guitarcontrol thanks man
Hey Robert. Did you just start another channel?
"Junkie" from the Down to earth album. (2001)
So great. Good choice my friend

There's really no wrong way to do anything on the guitar but it doesn't hurt to practice proper techniques and good habits
There's no wrong way, it's whatever works for you
My right hand says yes but left says no
