I put together a 12 by 20 shed. The material was excellent. The instructions were clear. The only problem I had was sliding the pieces together. I had to grind down the burrs that were on the pieces. More than 80% of the frame had to have the burrs ground down .
With a little preplanning, I cemented the ground anchors into 5 gallon buckets and buried them below the frostline. Fantastic forethought. New England winters forced me to plan that anchoring trick.
great install . .i did order one and '' Yes " I will anchor mine down on a 4 x 4 PT with a 1"x6 sill plate . . . This will work for me . . . In massachusetts the weather is quite crappy in spring . . . I will use the space for my new JD 2025 Compact tractor . . .will work great because I have rear backhoe and front bucket . . . I am more concerned with mice and small rodents eating my wires on my new 30k tractor . . .safe and sound... for a few hundred bucks I can preserve my tractor from harmful UV rays... pine tree sap and out of sight out of mind.. thank you
That's where I've been keeping my jd 318 as well. Sat for months and it started right up! It will be coming down this year as I've finally finished building my garage.
Can I ask for an 11-month review? I'm getting ready to setup mine in the next week or 2 so I'm just looking for some last minute advice from someone who actually has one built already. Thanks so much!
I should be getting to one soon. I will be taking it down to move to my brother's house. Most important thing is to take your time and make sure the top is tight
@@diytito8165 okay I just want to keep the wind off. In the winter. Maybe I’ll go with a pop up and use cloth on the sides I can get fire resistant and wet it when needed.
If you look the instructions it'll give you a measurement of the diagonals. That's is the most accurate measurement as that's what you use to make sure it's square upon assembly.
Judging from the baggy front panel you missed some measurements somewhere, sides aren't too taught either. Other installations I've seen didn't look like that .
thanks for the installation video. I was considering getting one. But I don't have an area with gravel to anchor it down like you did. I wasn't planning on using it for permanent storage. I just want to have a place to work on a bike when it is raining and also at night. Does anyone know a different brand/model about the same size that is easier/faster to setup that would be more for temporary storage? Thank you.
I don't have anything off the top of my head. Harbor freight sells a similar one of lesser quality but probably an equal amount of setup. I actually moved it out of a gravel spot for when I built my garage. And it's the grassy spot has now turned to dirt.
Seemed to do ok. We had about 4 storms with 6-8inches of heavy wet snow and 40mph winds. So nothing crazy. I will say. It does hover with the strap rather than firmly holding it to the ground. I plan to follow up later this year with a 1 year review
Sounds like Norma Backstabber is blaming you for her shortcomings. Maybe she should learn how to read instructions. But you know what they say, can’t fix stupid. Anyhow....Good video. How is shelter holding up 2 months later?
It's handled about 6 inches of heavy wet snow and many wind storms with gusts up to 65mph. I had to retighten the cover a couple times and reattach an anchor but it seems ok for now. Hoping to provide an update video in the spring!
I had one that lasted a long time and when I replaced the cover it lasted less than 1.5 years and is now blown to shreds! It started ripping at the supports and I've been duck taping up the holes, but we got a wind yesterday it is total toast now. Quality totally gone to shit (maybe it's because I didn't wear a mask while I installed it ;->)
This thing is not 1.5 hours to build. It’s a pain in the A with no help. You best have 2 people helping you. Then maybe it will be 1.5 hours like the manufacturer estimates.
Worst video ever. Not very useful to see the back of the guy repeatedly instead of what he is actually doing. Also really fast. Wish they would show how they attach the ratchet of the cover on the back side (not the entrance side) to the foot. Not clear on video or manual how you attach it when the foot is covered by the back panel?
Sorry to hear it wasn't helpful? Wish I had a go pro so I could run two cameras. I did ratchet mine to the front hole on the foot and not the back. I didn't see a good way of doing it. I can put up a video if you would like to see how I have it attached.

Anthony do you have any pics on how you secured it down.
I think ya done A good job guys..I mounted mind on treated 4×4 s laying flat on the ground and angered 4×4s to the ground ..
Working alone, here's my best tip... Duct tape. The pipes will not stay in place, ever. Tape before you snap a gasket or swear profusely. 👍🏻🇺🇲

do both sides open?
Would is make sense and is it possible to fill the lower tubes with sand?
I suppose you could if you had a way to cap the ends. it may add some stability but you would still need to anchor it
How did it hold up with snow ? did u need to put planks in the roof as i seen many others do ?
Is this fire resistant? I want to use this over my forge but afraid sparks would burn through I could wet cloth
Likely it would melt holes through it. Probably wouldn't recommend it.

I just bought a 10x10 shed too and I was wondering what the measurements where between the feet I want to build a pad with 4by4 to bolt it down too

Did you have any issues with tearing or anything like that? I am thinking of getting one of these.

Need footings
@@redartisanwolf6716 it would be better especially for a permanent installation to fasten it down to some type of footing.
I just did 2 sidebar side 13x20x12 and used dug in footings with rebar stakes held up amazingly in last few big storms
