I was drinking with Brian before their set in Memphis about 4 months ago. Real nice guys. They remembered playing w/my buddie's little brother's band in Stoughton, MA.
I'm the same way. I'm really into pop punk (New Found Glory, Blink-182). So not quite punk either, but I've really started to get into the whole Boston scene. Great bands like Drop Kick Murphys and Death Before Dishonor, as well as my two fav. sports teams in the Patriots and the Red Sox. I'm from Toronto, Canada, but I'm totally in love with this city. I'm definitely going to visit sometime in my life.

I love hardcore music, it gives you strength and helps you through all kinds of shit. But im sick of people always lashing out against fellow hardcore people, hardcore is about supporting each other and the scene, not about trying to tear other down because they dont mosh as hard as you, aint straight edge etc.
hardcore isn't about the music itself, the music is just the style, it's about what you put into the music and the sort of community, i don't really like listening to most hardcore because it is musically a lot the same to me, but live it is completely different. they don't play because they think they have some sort of amazing gifted talent. the reason they go to these shows and play this music is usually what brings them together.
well i saw both live at the same show (Terror tour with DBD and Through the eyes of the dead...) and personally i enjoyed terror more but DBD was still some good stuff to see...i respect them both they are 2 great bands !!
I haven't heard of those bands, but if you have heard of bands such as The Devil Wears Prada, As I Lay Dying, Parkway Drive, Born of Osiris, and shit like that, they really do sound the same.
