Update August 2021: First off, thank u to everyone who actually spent the time to watch the video. Secondly, this video was actually made to show a long distance friend and then I said I would delete it afterwards, but never did since it surprisingly got views. I have gotten a decent amount of questions so let’s answer a few of the big ones: Tint? Tailights are 15 % tint and costed $150. Windows are 15% all around. Costed $250. Interior red? Plasti dip :( Exterior Black? Plasti dip as well including wheels. Red Honda logo in wheels: was purchased on eBay, no longer available. I sprayed black plasti dip, then applied the sticker, then put clear coat over the entire wheel. Plasti dip? Yes, the dumb 17 year old in me got a bit out of hand with it. As of now (August 2021) all red, “rice” has been removed. Rims? These are stock Honda EX-L GT rims (special package on this car) and are extremely difficult to find. They were sprayed black. Exhaust? Dual rear muffler delete, resonator delete, mid muffler delete. Tune/ intake? Yes the car has a short ram intake, tune caused major back flow issues and was dumping fuel out of the exhaust (cool pops and backfires but noticeable loss in power) this is due to the modified exhaust it creates a negative amount of pressure when leaving the headers. For sale? Yes, issue is price, market is rough rn for used cars. She’s got 107,XXX, paints in decent condition, but the front end has rock chips from being a highway car before I had it. I’d be happy selling it for anywhere around 7k-8k. If anyone wants more pictures/ videos of the car just reach out and I can send them :) Updates since 2019: Fully custom F1R rims, redid black accents on window chrome, removed all plasti dip from interior, engine bay, and left Honda logos chrome (looks much better since exhaust is chrome). The main reason I have not posted an updated video is due to the fact I have been overseas multiple times. I will be putting out an updated video (when I get back to the U.S.) in October of 2021 explaining the entire car, with actual clips dedicated for you guys, and saying why I did certain things (such as not get coilovers). Again thank you all for the questions and love for the car. I seriously never thought it would get this amount of views ❤️
@@haydenanderson4476 congrats on the purchase! The exhaust is just a resonator delete with the back two mufflers deleted. The chrome tips are muffled tips which help prevent a raspy sound.
I own a black on black 2010 accord coupe v6 auto fully loaded w/ nav. It's in very good condition with 85k miles. Bought it for 10k. I don't get why people overly criticize the 8th gen auto, yea the flaws are there, but it's still a solid car. IMHO the black on black with tinted windows give the car a very menacing/sporty look, it's comfortable, it's spacious, it's peppy, it's reliable, it's stylish, what is there not to like? Update November 2022: I wound up selling the car a few months ago. Front end went out on it, no accident, just awkward steering mechanisms (steering rack, steering column and steering pump, AKA $4000+ later). I sold it as it was just getting to be too much on maintenance and i honestly wasnt driving it. I sold the car with about 111,000 on it and it ran fine, but being that i had 3 cars at the time it was smart to sell with the used car market being so high. Currently im driving an 06 accord 5 spd as a commuter and looking at getting a mk5 supra in the future. Ones i get the supra (bmw same thing) ill make some videos with that :)

I’m always wondering how my honda look if i black it out because I have the exact same model with the same color, thanks for the idea man I appreciate it
Nice one. Man the 8th Gen sedan is a bit frumpy but the 8th Gen coupe is perfection. Really like your build. Don’t know if you’ve done any suspension stuff but a thicker rear sway bar is a great low cost handling modification. Dials out some of the understeer but doesn’t affect how the car feels going straight.
I’m thinking of getting tints on the windows, lights, etc but idk if I should get white or gray the same color as yours. I’m trying to get a dark theme mostly for night. Any tips on what color to choose? Also how much did the car cost when you got it and how much did it cost after the modifications?
Sweet build, I think next you go with the KTuner or something fs. Also I did a VCM/ECO mode delete because obviously, plus it was a pretty cheap and easy install.

Dude... Your car is seriously gorgeous. Im doin a lot of the same stuff to mine but getting some issues. I put in a Kai intake and i got an engine light saying its running rich, i also did a muffler delete and put on greddy tips, any idea what i should do? Forums and mechanic friends have no idea. What kind of intake do you have?
Bobby Rolando thank you so much fam! When I did the intake I didn’t get any check engine lights. I bought a af dynamic intake and haven’t had any issues. I have a muffler and resonator delete with dc tips with an rj downpipe. I would seriously look into maybe replacing your sensors that you transferred over from the stock intake to the aftermarket. Something could have broke, or been connected improperly. Also when I put on the new intake, one of the tubes actually was left unattached on purpose in the instructions. I can try and find a picture and send it to you when I get on break from college.
@@i_am_cq8139 that helps SO much. Ill look into a resonator delete and that J pipe too, but i know my MAF sensor is fine, i went back to stock and had no issue. I think air is running through my CAT too quickly and makin it run rich. Which intake is yours?
Bobby Rolando haha I’m just here to help! Most people with this car who make a video never seem to answer comments on the videos I find! The intake I have is a R&L Racing AF Dynamic black cold air filter. The reason I chose that one over K&N, invidia, etc, is not just the major price difference, but in all seriousness, all an intake is, is straight pipe with a filter. They are practically no different and all will say they produce 5-10 hp. IMO this intake sounds much better compared to videos I have seen of the others. I don’t have many driving clips in the video except for the one before the full exhaust so it doesn’t sound like much. Honestly if you think it’s running into your cats too fast it could possibly be a back pressure issue. The muffler delete can cause issues with pressure on the factory tune. The tune I used to run was built for a specific downpipe and Intake so it would disregard the back pressure change. But that tune was also a bit of money.
@@ethericdezigns1528 Yup the center console has two car charger plugs, an aux plug, and a usb input. I just plug my phone into the usb and play music but either works.
when you did your exhaust, did you get magmaflows or any other muffler right at the end of the exhaust or did you just straight pipe it from the catalytic converter?
Do you prefer it for high school student? I think the only thing I’ll be doing is driving it to school, gym, hang out with friends etc nothing crazy for any dounts, drifts, etc just driving it normal and mostly doing pulls on highways. Only custom things I’ll be doing is interior change, nice exhaust sound and tint window. One thing I heard about them is the paddle shifters react slow. You press it and wait few seconds and then press again which kinda make them useless, I heard there last minute decision Honda did. The one I’m getting goes for 6k and will probably negotiate even more. 124k miles clean title 2010 v6 version. Any thoughts? Suggestions?
Sorry for the late response, been overseas for the past year so whenever I get service I try and respond to comments. Yes 100% an awesome high school car. It’s typically a cheaper, reliable car that can surprisingly keep up with or beat other “high school cars.” I did the exact same thing with mine. School, gym, work, and my friends loved it since it was that loud quick car that was fun. The paddle shifters are fun and yes the delay is odd, but it’s all something to get used to. All cars transmission systems are different, (all manuals have different rpms to shift perfectly at and paddle shifters are the same way). It doesn’t effect much besides the fact u that if you’re doing a pull u want to shift up a few seconds before redline. They didn’t put a safety in these from factory regarding redline so it will practically 2 step mid pull which is awful for the motor but it’s cool for the time being. 6k is a solid price. I paid 9,500 for this a few years back with 98k on it. Let me know if you went through with it or if u have any other questions!
As a daily its great, it has the capability to keep up with a lot of cars especially with a few bolt ons. The v6s do not last as long as some of the 4 cylinders do, but I have had mine for a while will no issues other than a cylinder sensor needing to be replaced. If its in good shape with a clean history, I would say its a great deal.
Sorry for the super delayed response on this... Exhaust was surprisingly cheap, 3-400 at the most once all said and done. Ill be posting an update video soon on where the car is currently. Hopefully you got one finally!
@@caleb8625 Of course! And thank u so much for checking out the video! Ill be making an update on it in the next few weeks so lmk if you have anything in particular u want to see or know :)
Hey man, thanks for answering all our questions. I just painted my rims black to match yours. Sorry if you mentioned it and I had missed it, but where did you find the red Honda decals on the center caps?
Tyreek Hill yup, took about 5-6 coats and I haven’t had any issues besides small scuffs which come right out with tire shine. On the inner side of the handle I put electrical tape as I was afraid it would peel off from people grabbing it over time
Hey! It is 15% tint on the tailights, 15% on the back window and side triangles, and 20% on the driver/passenger windows. Thanks man! Any other questions just let me know, I plan on making a newer video soon on an update of the car!
I have the exact same car but white and I’m trying to decide what tint percent to choose. I’m thinking 20% but I’m worried about cops. Have you ever been pulled over for your tint?
I had a bit of an issue with back pressure actually. I had to get a downpipe and get a different resonator to fix it. Doing this made it much louder but its not in this video. No check engine lights, just a small notice in a power lack when accelerating. The mufflers on these cars are huge and there is two of them so it does change the pressure leaving the engine causing backfires etc.
I’ll never forget when I had my 2009 accord coupe and people made fun of me cuz I debadged the car and put the red si logo but it’s cuz it looked cool with my white accord. But Idc it’s my car
question so i have the same exact model car in a dark blue i just bought it about a month ago, what are some less expensive first modifications I can do, tint would be good but i live in a state where tint isn’t exactly very legal and the cops around me are dicks. Got any recommendations?
Yea they don't like tint in NJ either haha. Less expensive mod hmm, for sure cold air or short ram intake. And realize one thing with that, K&N and all these other big name companys make a metal pipe with a filter for hundreds of dollars. I got an AF Dynamic intake on ebay for a tad over 100$, and it is still one of the best mods i did. They are all the same concept, so no need to spend twice the money for a K&N sticker to come in the package. All the companies say they add 5-10 hp, but honestly the biggest notice is the awesome growl it brings out in the front of the car, plus light torque increase on the low end. Main reason I put an exhaust on was because the engine bay became so much louder than the rear of the car. Exhausts can run expensive, or you can do what I did and work on it over time. I first took of the mufflers for cheap and slowly worked towards a custom system. Not really a "mod," but some TLC goes a long way on pure looks of the car. Give it a nice coat of wax, some scratch remover if needed. I know its just a honda, but its yours, so make it stand out how you want it to!
exhaust was a couple hundred and i welded the tips myself the second time around. Honestly for the headlights i plasti dipped them just to see what they would look like because i was considering wrapping them to make them darker, but I started to like the look and just left it.
How to get the most power out of this car? I drove it since it’s my brother but I feel like the automatic is sorta a weak v6 since you can’t red line or anything
For sure downpipe/ exhaust and tune. Yes the autos do lack compared to the manual, but they are both capable of gaining good power. Intakes definitely help take in more air as well
Hey I got same one just 2016. Biggest problem is finding upgrade parts. All websites I find like carid have something’s but universal fit. U know any websites
Matt Brown You’re 100% right regarding parts, for coil overs check BC coil overs, takeda/ k tuner have some stuff, but otherwise that’s about it. I’ve tried looking into a turbo, but there is literally NONE not even a build on UA-cam. It’s crazy you would think for a solid motor people would consider building them up
@@astrogunna5382 no matter what exhuast you go for, (only if u want it loud) delete the secondary catalytic converter. It isnt illegal and heavily opens up the exhaust. Id even recommend a downpipe but at that point you'e going to be looking at a tune and $$$. Magnaflow makes a solid exhaust (a little quiet imo) but if u were to delete the cat it'd be nice. Theres always the custom route like i did or you could start by taking the rear mufflers off and go from there! The rear muffler delete is heard in the clip of the car driving from outside the car. The other clips in the video are of the final and current exhaust.
@@youare1524 Yes there are other spoilers for the car from factory such as the one with the tailight, which you can get for 161$ painted on www.carid.com/2011-honda-accord-spoiler/remin-rear-spoiler-56838275.html?parentsubmodel[]=SUBMODEL|Coupe carid is a good sight, and so is amazon or even ebay honestly.
Thinking about buying the same car with exactly 100k miles for like 9k is it worth it? And these cars could last forever and fun?
As a daily its great, it has the capability to keep up with a lot of cars especially with a few bolt ons. The v6s do not last as long as some of the 4 cylinders do, but I have had mine for a while will no issues other than a cylinder sensor needing to be replaced. If its in good shape with a clean history, I would say its a great deal.
Did u plasti dip the chrome trim around the windows?
Can you list out all the parts and materials used with links?
love the car dude, how did you get the red details in the interior?
X IV Thanks fam! Those pieces are super easy to take out, so I just pulled them off and painted them myself.
Hey man! I know it’s kind of an old video but I’m looking at getting one of these. How much was the exhaust system? Sounds great!
Sorry for the super delayed response on this... Exhaust was surprisingly cheap, 3-400 at the most once all said and done. Ill be posting an update video soon on where the car is currently. Hopefully you got one finally!
@@i_am_cq8139 thanks so much!
Dan Tesenair Hey! Those decals I found on eBay, but supposedly they got taken down a while back. Just look up red Honda emblem sticker.
Did the check engine light come on when doing the deletes??
nope never did!
Where did you Huh the plastidip and what brand of spray paint and color did you use?
Buy*
how did you put the paddle shifters in
Are your door handles plasti dipped? I wanted to plasti dip mine but I wasn’t sure if it would rub off
Tyreek Hill yup, took about 5-6 coats and I haven’t had any issues besides small scuffs which come right out with tire shine. On the inner side of the handle I put electrical tape as I was afraid it would peel off from people grabbing it over time
I put an intake on my 08 v6 coupe and the emgine light comes on. Did you change out the MAF sensor? Or get a tune?
The MAF connected directly to the new intake i bought. I did not need a tune for any codes afterwards. If you want better power, then tune it.
@I_Am_cq813 My MAF connected right in to. But it codes after 50miles.
@@rogerbotelhojr4928 might have to replace it or clean it then... i think they sell cleaner for the piece as well you could try.
Hey brother! What tint % is on your taillights? It looks super good!
Hey! It is 15% tint on the tailights, 15% on the back window and side triangles, and 20% on the driver/passenger windows. Thanks man! Any other questions just let me know, I plan on making a newer video soon on an update of the car!
@@i_am_cq8139 should've went 5 on all three rears. And two strips of 5 on the windsheild. That's what I'll be doing. And the 20 on the sides
i didn't know honda made ferraris
I have the exact same car but white and I’m trying to decide what tint percent to choose. I’m thinking 20% but I’m worried about cops. Have you ever been pulled over for your tint?
No, I have not been pulled over, and in my state tint on the taillights and any tint on the front side windows is illegal
I_Am_cq813 alright thanks
Body kit next??
When you did your muffler delete was there any problems with how the car drove at all?
I had a bit of an issue with back pressure actually. I had to get a downpipe and get a different resonator to fix it. Doing this made it much louder but its not in this video. No check engine lights, just a small notice in a power lack when accelerating. The mufflers on these cars are huge and there is two of them so it does change the pressure leaving the engine causing backfires etc.
Never put a red Honda badge on a Honda that’s NOT made in Japan!
What did you use to paint the interior?
So whats modified on your car besides exhaust and intake?
Bruh how’d you open the back seat 😂 I have the same car I didn’t know it did that
In the trunk on the top left is a pull wire that allows the seats to come down!
I_Am_cq813 wow thanks I always wondered if they came down or not 😭
Is this year reliable have you had any issues with it?
Hey man, just picked up a 2010 Accord today. How did you make your screen red? I really like that.
on the dash hit the setting button (bottom right underneath radio) scroll down and hit color
@@i_am_cq8139 Ah shoot, must be only if you have nav. Mine doesn't. Thanks anyways man. The car looks great!
Dan Tesenair yea sorry man you may be right. Thanks for the kind words fam!
I’ll never forget when I had my 2009 accord coupe and people made fun of me cuz I debadged the car and put the red si logo but it’s cuz it looked cool with my white accord. But Idc it’s my car
I’ve seen you around👌🏽 got a 15 v6 coupe in red
Nice bro! Next time pull up next to me and talk! Love your exhaust setup btw!
question so i have the same exact model car in a dark blue i just bought it about a month ago, what are some less expensive first modifications I can do, tint would be good but i live in a state where tint isn’t exactly very legal and the cops around me are dicks.
What did you use to paint your rims
R I C E
What did you do to your door handles
How much did the exhaust go for? And how did u black out the headlight sides
exhaust was a couple hundred and i welded the tips myself the second time around. Honestly for the headlights i plasti dipped them just to see what they would look like because i was considering wrapping them to make them darker, but I started to like the look and just left it.
Is that factory paint color?
Any big problems with this model?
How to get the most power out of this car? I drove it since it’s my brother but I feel like the automatic is sorta a weak v6 since you can’t red line or anything
For sure downpipe/ exhaust and tune. Yes the autos do lack compared to the manual, but they are both capable of gaining good power. Intakes definitely help take in more air as well
what did you use to make the parts of the interior red?
Originally plasti dip, but recently changed to 3m Wrap on the pieces
Hey I got same one just 2016. Biggest problem is finding upgrade parts. All websites I find like carid have something’s but universal fit. U know any websites
Matt Brown You’re 100% right regarding parts, for coil overs check BC coil overs, takeda/ k tuner have some stuff, but otherwise that’s about it. I’ve tried looking into a turbo, but there is literally NONE not even a build on UA-cam. It’s crazy you would think for a solid motor people would consider building them up
I_Am_cq813 yeah I’ve seen some exhaust systems on carid & other sites, would u recommend the takeda exhaust system
I_Am_cq813 but I was just gonna do muffler delete (prob won’t now I saw what u said ab it lmao) but I can’t find many shops in jersey that will do it
Matt Brown try and see if you have a meineke near you. That’s where I got it done
I_Am_cq813 good looks I got one down from me in pleasantville
I just got a 2011 accord and want to get a muffler delete, do I need to buy anything specific for it?
100% recommend getting an intake with an exhaust, really compliments eachother well
@@i_am_cq8139 do you know any good exhaust?
@@i_am_cq8139 alright bet, appreciate the response 💯
How did you change the color of the steering wheel logo?
painted it. It was difficult as you cant remove the actual logo or it will bend
Where did you buy the spoiler
You Are this is just the stock EX-L v6 spoiler for the accord coupe that I painted black.
@@i_am_cq8139 is it possible to add a different type ? If so what's a good website
@@youare1524 Yes there are other spoilers for the car from factory such as the one with the tailight, which you can get for 161$ painted on
www.carid.com/2011-honda-accord-spoiler/remin-rear-spoiler-56838275.html?parentsubmodel[]=SUBMODEL|Coupe
carid is a good sight, and so is amazon or even ebay honestly. Depends what you are looking for, its hard to come across good looking after market spoilers for this car, but I have seen some duckbill spoilers used from acuras. Just gotta look around, even instagram is a good source tbh
Is the color of the car the same or did you change it from buying it?
Same color, just a lot of TLC from when i first bought it. The car was in rough shape when i first got it and needed tons of body/paint work. I never had to respray it luckily.
