I love that YOU bring the party on every cruise ship u go on u always start dancing and entertaining those around you I hope to see you and your gf lauren someday when me and my husband are on board.
As a Bahamian, we use this cruise line, as well as the previously mentioned, as a way to travel back and forth from home to the states and carry our personal cargo back. Tourists tend to have high exceptions but this is our alternative to flying.
I have heard nothing but terrible things about this ship however I must say this. This cruise line has done something so admirable and honorable by having the Hero’s program. They literally give free cruises to first responders and active military service members and retirees. No other cruise line does this which is a shame, especially the cruise lines who make billions. I am a service member and that kind gesture of appreciation speaks volumes. 🇺🇸
I took my gf on the Bahamas paradise cruise, it was her very first cruise so she didn’t hate it.. the next year I took her on the carnival Mardi Gras and she yelled at me for taking her on the Bahamas paradise lol I always tell new cruises to start on smaller ships and smaller sailings and work your way up. Nice video. Thank u
My 1st cruise was about 6 years ago on the Carnival Sensation. I also agree to start with the smaller ships and with your way up. I went on the Oasis of the seas last year and by comparison it was MASSIVE! I loved it. My next sailing is on the Celebration in February. This will be my 7th cruise.
We started with the largest cruise ship in the world at the time back in 2006 (Mariner). Have only done large ships ever since (Oasis, Freedom, and Harmony). Doing the Wonder of the Seas in 2024.
I have not cruised on this ship as a passengers, but I worked on it on 1995 when it was the Costa Classica. I met my husband there and for us that was the biggest ship at that time. If it is medical, I hope you are able to find a way through that. There are only a couple of medical conditions I'm aware of that are absolutely no-go for cruising. Dialysis is something which is usually a no-go for cruising. Any major medical condition which requires checking in with a doctor or clinic every couple of days for a treatment will also make cruising impossible. But I wish you the best and hope you can cruise some day.

I say, if you consider it simply being transportation (like a fancier ferry ride) to the Bahamas as an example, then you can really enjoy it. Other cruise ships are like a hotel on the water and a vacation in itself before even leaving the ship to an island dock. If I lived in Florida, I was use this to get to the Bahamas every month! 😁

I mean having high expectations for the “cheapest” and “shortest” cruise is kinda crazy right 😂. I’m also a service member and while I appreciated the gesture, I knew I wouldn’t go. I’ve been on too many nice expensive ships to even think about how a cheap one would be.
I am a young-at heart 52 y/o - lol. I sailed on this ship when it was Grand Bahamas about 8 years ago for $79. I figured nothing was lost if I didn't like it. That was not my first cruise. I had a nice time and could appreciate it even though I had sailed on several other cruise lines. I sailed on Margaritaville last year and had a nice time (with the exception of a few hiccups). The food in the buffet has improved a lot. I like that dinner in the main dining room is included (which was actually pretty good), I don't think that was included before. The entertainment staff worked really hard to keep us entertained. I enjoyed the night club, bands and singers. This was my 24 y/o nephew's first cruise. He has since sailed on two different Royal Caribbean ships but has often said that he wouldn't mind sailing on Margaritaville again for a quick weekend get-a-way. Apparently disembarkation is often an issue. Things were pretty backed up to the point guests were told to go back to their waiting area on the ship! There was an issue in customs, luckily we were escorted pass the crowd through customs by an employee because we had an early flight. What can I say, I just LOVE TO SAIL!! I love your channels and I hope to meet you and Lauren on the Celebrity sailing in April!

Short cruises is what MSC does the best..because you can with MSC embark and disembark in any port it stops in Mediterranean (i saw people embarking and disembarking and where there was no port at all ,where you go to land with small boats) ,so if i want to spend more days somewhere like Rome or Naples i would disembark there ,spend there 3-4 days and then embark on other MSC ship and go where i started (off course you need to book that all before )
I got 2 free cruise tickets to this Margaritaville ship. Got them on a Military free cruise deal. I threw the tickets away. I Don’t even like Margaritaville on land.
I just went on the margaritaville in December.. it was aight but theres a reason its the price it is. Its really like a weekend getaway if you have a tight budget.
I went on a cruise with this company when they had 2 ships, and I thought it was cute. There isn't a lot to do, but it was a fun way to get to the Bahamas. There used to be an option to add a few nights on Grand Bahama, and then cruise back, so you could get more variety in the overall vacation experience. I was on the ship that had been part of the Italian fleet because you could see some signage in Italian that had not been changed out yet.
Sadly I had a bad experience on my 1st ever cruise to Nassau in 2005 and gave up on it, but after watching a few of your vids, I think i'm ready to give it another shot. I lived in Alaska in my military days but never had a chance to see the coastal parts so I think I might take a 7-day cruise on that Pacific coast. Thanks for sharing your experiences both good and bad.
That's not my cup of tea and Virgin cruises I wouldn't go on either. Carnival has to much Drama lately. I'm Loyal to Royal and I'm not saying things don't go wrong on RC but I feel safer on their ships
Good job men! I still cannot get myself to get on camera to give Margaritaville my review. Definitely a starter package and one has to ask for that cruise specifically for us to recommend. Going back tomorrow on this exact cruise to see if it is any better. We just look at it as a quick getaway instead of doing clubs, lounges, etc Margaritaville NEEDS to do better
I cruise extensively on RC on many different ships. I’ve cruised throughout the Caribbean. From Bonaire 🇧🇶 to different parts of Mexico. I’ve gone to Cuba 🇨🇺 and even Haiti plus many other countries . I luv cruising
LOL Bougie! Jay, something has changed. I hope you're just tired and need to regroup. Keeping you in my thoughts. Rest/Relax and take time to regroup. Hugs and wishing for the happiest of a New Year
I've heard that a sampler cruise, 2-3 day weekend, was worth the money. Not that one, but the Washington and Alaska one. Nice way to spend a weekend and have a break.
I think the problem with the casino on board is that casinos are more common place now. Growing up I remember you had to go to Vegas to gamble, now I can gamble at my local pizza place.
Seems perfect for a quick getaway for someone local. The lack of activities wouldn’t bother me since I would want to just sit in a deck chair, relax, and watch the ocean go by.
I’ve looked into this cruse, one thing I think you hit on is the cost and effort to get to the port. It’s not very close to any major airport and not convenient. Much easier to go out of Miami or Ft Lauderdale or even Orlando. The cost to Uber is more than the cruise fare!
I've heard that the consensus of this cruise is that the stars must align. Either you wanna do it because you know it's bad, you wanna do it because it's a inexpensive way to test if cruising is for you, and also it's almost irresistibly cheap.
My 1st cruise was in 1990 on Carnival, best vacation ever! Never had to purchase food separately, food included in cruise package. This was an a la carte cruise 🚢. I can’t believe a ship like this still exists. Like you said you get what you pay for.
I’m getting ready to go on this trip in the second week of July. I watched a lot of videos about it but yours is by far the best. Especially the part where they had you picking up the tab for the ladies sitting with you 😊 Oh, and damn you can dance baby
The casino being empty is not surprising to me. This is a cruise for people who are unable to afford a standard cruise. If you could add on casino money, you could’ve just gone on a better ship. 🤷♀️🤷♀️

I promise I took my mom on the 1st cruise as Margaritaville and we had all kind of issues with my card and the taxi that was supposed to take us to the island which I had prepaid for a round trip then had to find our own way to the island which we stayed a week and then cruise back to Florida and I felt everything and more in disappointments that you found on this ship. When I came back to get my refund that I took a picture of the lady and my prepaid ticket that was not honored, so I spent a lot of time on level 5 trying to get things straightened out than enjoying the entertainment on board. Definitely had issues with the wifi. My next one is with Carnival Vista hoping not to have the struggles that I had with this one. Thanks for always giving detailed information.
I'd like to go on a cruise some time. For $350 hard to beat but you can definitely see the difference from the other entertainment and stuff. The 10 drinks for $100 is a bit scammy but idk how other ships handle it
Thanks for the review. I've seen ads as a teacher I fall in the Heroes deal. Doesn't sound like its worth even getting there for such a short trip. Maybe as a back to back after another cruise.
Thanks for an interesting review. I Live in London and cruise every year during winter, spring and summer all over the world. I"ved been blessed to have taken 58 cruises to date spending months on different beautiful ships. Having said that, I only enjoy 'hi end' cruise lines particularly out of Europe Cunard, NCL, RCI, Virgin Transatlantic cruises to NY the onto Bahamas West Indies etc., are my preference, as I don't enjoy flying i have plenty of leisure time and not rushing to get to ports. I would not go on the cruise (cruise line) you reviewed if they were paying me! You get what you pay for.
I took this cruise to get away. For under $200, it was cheaper to go on a cruise than a hotel for 3 days. I just wanted to get away from my kids looool
We're going in December, would you recommend bringing cash for drinks instead of charging them to our card? We just want to avoid any card issues as best as possible
I look at it as more as alternative transportation to the Bahamas. I don't fly anymore, so if I want to stay in the Bahamas, it's how I would g e t there.
You get out of it what you pay for into it. If beer is your thing while working in the garage you might want to treat the darling of your life to a weekend get away for less than a thousand all in including a sitter and gas. As cruise functionality goes new to cruise folks won't know the difference as they are introduced to most of the regular cruise holiday schtick even if it's at a bit lower standards. There will be people who after this cruise will become regular cruise line patrons thanks to this experience introducing them to an alternate vacation destination. Introducing a bottom of the market product is a great business plan but there has to be a way around the constant nickel and diming throughout the program. Might be that a higher priced all inclusive deal with some gambling tokens thrown in to fill the gaming room is all that's needed to upgrade the overall experience.
Thank you for this video. As I'm not a Jimmy Buffett fan, this "specific theme" cruise doesn't interest me. I feel I'd be out of place and not get the references. I'm also not a drinker, so to do a two-day getaway to party and drink and listen to Margaritaville wouldn't be on my bucket list. I'm not knocking it - - to each his own - - and as you said, it would probably be a good "first cruise" for those looking to try it out. I prefer the larger ships and the variety of high quality entertainment - - it's worth the price for a great experience. Thanks again for sharing this with us!!
Thank you for an objective review- too many glowing reviews from ppl that got comped cruise or free drink or upgraded cabin- at least know what to expect upfront
Wondering if a Bahamas thing with the decline because it happened to me back in January; however, when I got back to Miami I was able to use my card again 🤷🏽♀️

I'd like to go on a cruise some time. For $350 hard to beat but you can definitely see the difference from the other entertainment and stuff. The 10 drinks for $100 is a bit scammy but idk how other ships handle it
I think my drink package was $350 on my last cruise😂😂😂
Thanks for the review. I've seen ads as a teacher I fall in the Heroes deal. Doesn't sound like its worth even getting there for such a short trip. Maybe as a back to back after another cruise.
Sounds like a ferry you sleep on. They should get rid of the dead casino. Ridiculous that your card got declined-that just can't be fun!
$22 for parking is outrageous
It's a good first cruise ship. Gotta start slow to see if you like it or if you get seasick.
Yeah I saw Ben and David's video on them. Basically the Holiday inn Express of the seas. Was not impressed
Thanks very good description, and honest and fair.
My husband wants to take me on a cruise. Thanks for the review. Seems like this one is too much hassel and all I need is a vacay. Not stress!!
Cheap never good, good never cheap.
Still looks better than the cruise ships from sweden to finland.
Why did he have to pay $22/day for parking when he took an Uber?
The lack of a working outlet in my room would be a deal breaker for me.
Thank you for the candid review.
I was on the inaugural, what a disappointment. JB really screwed up with this ship
I MISS THE PAPER ITINERARIES!
Im booked for January 7th i got the hero cruise deal...i got 4 1st timers going with me....just doing a January birth month weekend cruise....
Good luck and thanks for being a hero
I took this cruise to get away. For under $200, it was cheaper to go on a cruise than a hotel for 3 days. I just wanted to get away from my kids looool
Fair opinion.
there’s actually a one night cruise between Vancouver to Seattle
Well, the first problem was that it was called "Margaritaville At Sea"🥴 "Trouble AHOY!!!!"
Great video and nice dance moves. 🕺🏾
Kyle Pallo & his friend Lora were on this ship a few months ago. They weren’t impressed either.
Less than $400 with parking for a cruise… well, I would be surprised and pleased if the ship didn’t sink.
😂😂in one line, bigger ship please 🎉🎉🎉🎉. Once you are on Royal Caribbean, no more small yak😂
We're going in December, would you recommend bringing cash for drinks instead of charging them to our card? We just want to avoid any card issues as best as possible
Viaje en Bahamas Paradise y fue entretenido, bailes, buenos bares, diversión más sencillo pero bueno.
Id could never go on this😂😂
Thank you for an objective review- too many glowing reviews from ppl that got comped cruise or free drink or upgraded cabin- at least know what to expect upfront
Are you going on the Broadway cruise? You have great videos and I’d love to see your take on it!
😂😂 wow u tell it like it is I love your channel 😊
Please talk about the outing to The Maragaritaville @ Sea private island; if there is one: included in price or an upcharge?
Can you please show us the bathroom in the cabin? Ty.
Wondering if a Bahamas thing with the decline because it happened to me back in January; however, when I got back to Miami I was able to use my card again 🤷🏽♀️
HOLY S YOU CAN DANCE DANCE!
I’m a total parrot head and I would be interested in this ship
I had the same issue with my card. I had to go to guest services about 5 times.
