- There’s a new Captain America in the MCU, and he has a really awesome suit to go with his new role. Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) will be donning the shield that Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) used for the entire Infinity Saga, and Sam definitely knows how to use it. He fits the identity as Captain America, but is he as strong as his predecessor? Could Sam Wilson’s Captain America beat Steve Rogers’ Captain America in a fight? This is currently being debated in Captain America: Cold War Marvel Comics storyline, but let’s settle this together right here, right now!

It would be great if there was a (Captain America) Red Falcon vs Rhodes war machine (Iron Patriot).
I think Steve Rogers would win:
1. He has the superhero serum.
2. He has more experience (having defeated/assisted in defeating Red Skull, Loki, The Winter Soldier, and Thanos.
Steve wins this fight if your talking about the MCU. As much as I love Sam, his track record does not support him to win against Steve. Steve defeated crossbones and a dozen hydra agents all at once without his shield. Sam was losing to just crossbones alone. Even when Sam got his wings, shield and tech as captain America, he was stalemated by batroc. Steve has a confirmed win against batroc. Sam and Bucky were subdued by spiderman, while Steve was able to subdue spiderman on his own.

Steve beat the crap out of a 15 yo boy. Sam & Bucky were trying to subdue him, Captain America slammed a metal shield into his face. Captain America tried to kill a 15 yo boy & you feel he is better than two men who tried not to hurt, again, a 15 yo boy?

Going with the comics, the original would win and it would be a very easy fight. Going with the movies, Steve would still win but with some difficulty.
Steve has fought gun wielding opponents many times, even without his shield, so the guns won't even be a issue. And concerning the shield, it's a tool and not a crutch, so he's just as good a fighter without it as he is with it. Sam's only advantage is flight but once again, Steve has beaten flying heroes on multiple occasions.
Steve would have difficulty? Sam needed Bucky to take down John Walker and John had JUST gotten accostumed to the serum and was unstable. And Sam and Bucky barely took him down. Steve would wipe the floor with Sam like it was nothing
@@budgiecat2885yes but with his new vibraniam suit it could be more difficult I’m not saying sam wins case he definitely doesn’t but I think it could be a closer fight with how Sam could use his technology.

(Just another excuse to sell new merch; no one really ever keeps the same outfit in the MCU sans Vision. So even when it makes no sense (like why does Kamala Khan have a new suit in The Marvels when it takes place immediately at the post credit scene of her final episode?) like Sam ditching his new Vibranium suit, they do it for the new merch.

Just a thought/theory that as Wakanda has a Super Soldier Serum & Nanotechnology, could they have given it to Sam Wilson via his new suit?
It could be possible but remember that it was reckless of Sam to pass off the Captain America identity to some showboat warrior but the people giving the wrong Cap. America the serum was even more reckless.
We know well enough of Sam's type of character that there was no way he would even think of touching the stuff.
In fact; Fake Cap. was even quicker to accept the power of the super soldier serum than Steve Rogers was.

@@Potato_Sama no it was a super soldier serum, not just steroids, it makes him super strong, super fast, it increased his intelligence which is why he can throw his shield and use geometry to make it always come back to him, also enhanced all senses , and a low level healing factor, read a comic

I think Steve’s got this on but correct me if I’m wrong within the comic doesn’t Sam eventually get the super soldier serum? If that’s the case, I wonder if he’ll get it in his upcoming movie and if that would give him the edge over Steve. Your argument about Steve’s weakness when the enemy is a friendly v. Sam’s drive is valid, but I think Steve would be a similar weakness to Sam. He looks up to and admires Steve like no other.

The actual outcome would be Cap letting Falcon hit him over and over until Falcon comes to his senses… but if the two didn’t know each other then Cap would destroy Falcon
What if you would have done it like they did not know each other it would have been a different story and if you count the fact that Steve is not only worthy of Mjolnir he is worthy of Stormbreaker and Jane Fosters version of Mjolnir and the shield from Black panther in Infinity war so Steve would had an advantage against Sam

They stalemated in an arm wrestle in the comics. Steve has the edge in h2h and Sam has the edge in skill, cuz of the tech he can work with. It's hard to decide man. If this is on MCU terms. Steve washes Sam.

Sam wins. His aerial ability, his use of weaponry and, his Wakanda technology just give him the edge. Also, Sam knows how to use the Caps shield. That said, Captain America will always be Steve Roger as, he just Awesome. Just give him a Wakanda made suit and Mjölnir and Cap wins. Sam has no defence against the lightning, he just gets fried.
P.S. Cap uses computer technology and is a master of combat strategy in the comics and "He Can Do It All Day".

When it comes to raw strength, there are a handful of humans stronger than Steve Rogers.
Sure, Sam Wilson trained in the United States Airforce and can hold his own on a fight. But he was overpowered in a one on one duel against Rumlow.
There's many more than a handful, dude. Steve's max lift is at 1000 pounds, and that's with his legs, and there's at least hundreds more MUCH stronger than that. With that said, Steve has beaten characters much stronger than him with speed and leverage.
