Great video Kevin. I have watched a bunch of your stuff and as a 50 year old getting back into it, even tho I am quite bit older than you, your content speaks to me. Keep it up!!

Hey Kevin, I've found it really hard to find 8.125 / 8.25 decks with a 14" wheelbase. Everything is 14.25".
Is there a specific brand you've found?
8" typically come in 14" wheelbase. But 8 is just a bit to small.

    I bounce around a lot.
And my recent set up switch up. Has me locked in on my pop and my tricks again.
    I’m on a
    8.375 deck
    14.4 wheelbase ,32in length
    144mm Independent Forged Hollows Trucks
    52mm spitfires tablets
    Bronsons G3s bearings
    Jessup ultra grip.
    Very close to your setup.
Scaling down for me from a lot of 9.0 inch setups and the weight and smaller wheels have really helped a lot.

It looks like a snake farm deck. That Alveer grip tape looks quite nice. Good call with the purple.

i have a bunch, actually just posted a video of them all the other day, but my primary is an 8" real, 139 indy forged hollows, homemade deck rails, 54ish mm bullet wheels from the '90s. finally got a clean kickflip on film, still gotta edit and post.

What are the homemade deck rails made of? I'm very intrigued

I’m rocking something akin to 8.5”/14.5”/7”/6.75”/32.25” on standard Ace AF1s with the 99A 52mm Classic Formula Four Spits currently with Shake Junt bearings and Enjoi Little Buddies hardware. Trying to get used to longer decks and wheel bases again.
Wish I could feel as comfortable on smaller decks and shorter sheel bases.

Unfortunately they are closing at the end of the month. Not enough people bought keys, and then the mall skatepark opened. It's a shame. I will miss that box dearly, haha.

Hey dude hopefully this comment in an older video gets to you. I’d like to try 8.25 width with 14 wb but I’m having trouble finding that consistently online or at shops. Do you know of some brands that make those specs regularly?

    • @KevinNiceTry
      @KevinNiceTry  4 місяці тому

April Skateboards 8.25, um the girl skateboards g052 is 14" wb. Are a couple I know make them. You can always call the local shop and just ask if they have any in that spec also.

I don’t think there is anything wrong with his title and thumbnail of the video, because he did talk about Ben’s set up (not click bait), and he has been on this set up since before Ben, so he is probably genuinely stoked to find out that one of his favorite UA-cam skater shares the same set up as him. Also, Ben too started his channel by putting the name of pros whose boards he was trying, on his titles.
