Awesome! How much liquid smoke?
Great vid and camera work!
Try ~1tbsp of soy sauce in the dip next time! Gives some extra umami
yeah, how much liquid smoke and when to put in?
Thanks for the recipe and I love that you complimented Melanie and she just gave it right back!!!! You two are great. Thanks for showing me that Gotcha plug today. Being a newer Gulf resident I’ve learned a bunch from you. Thanks for that!
Thumbs-up 👍 to Melanie!
Keep up the great work, Melanie
Enjoy all your Video’s. Enjoy watching catch and cook. Thank you Brant for all that you do.
I used to live on that pier 😅 I stayed fishing on there and would even stay over night some times! The over night bite is pretty cool depending on the time of year. Some great fishing on that pier!
Yep when I lived in GulfBreeze,1961-63, I would fish all night trying to catch sharks. We would have a ball eating chocolate double dipped donuts from a small bakery in P’cola. No problem with the druggies because the biggest problem was the drunks who wouldn’t venture out on the pier because there were no bars close to the beach and the police had a no tolerance attitude to bad behavior not like today.
Good story
Good times
Honestly didn’t think you can stay all night, it’s locked up till sunrise now days
Just a suggestion: How about some knot tying videos? Maybe discuss which knots for which rigs & why as well as how to setup a leader etc. Tight lines!
Thumbs up for Melanie
Outstanding video, as always, Brandt. I can't wait to try that recipe! And you mentioned mackerel sashimi. So many people shy away from that because it has such a distinct, oily taste. But those oils are loaded with Omega six fatty acids, which everyone knows are very good for you. And I frankly just love the taste!
Great team work thanks brant for the video and the tips .
Awesome video love the content definitely going to try and make it over for the Grand Opening I’m just an hour east of Pensacola in the Crestview area.
Brant i follow about 10 you tubers over the world but i must say when it come to bet my money will be on you and the other you tubers reckon themself as the best
Good to see Melanie taking such good care of you your extremely luck Brandt hope you tell her every day
Good looking fish boss !!! That one was an "axe handle" for sure !!!!
Brant is hittin' homeruns today
Great camera work Melanie!!!!!!
Looks delicious. Thanks for sharing your family’s recipe 😊
Glad to see the macks running heavy!! Cant wait to be on this pier on memorial day weekend!!! Got a new penn rampage with a new penn fierce 4 to try out...
Thanks Mr. Brant great content. Good luck on the grand opening.
That dip sounds awesome
Thanks again for a good video. Glad to see you guys exploring new adventures. Hope your business goes well
Melanie is doing a great job videoing too! 👍👍
Love it when u caught and cook
You are great Melanie.
Really enjoyed the video. Thanks for the dip recipe!
Brant, if you need a good Material Handler and Merchandiser from Texas for your new store, let me know man! 😉
Good video brother, enjoyed watching an fish dip looked awesome! Thanks for sharing!
Brant, I just discovered your channel today. I love it and you have gotten me so excited for some surf or pier fishing of the NC, SC coasts! Thanks
Glad I found your channel
Damn Brant, save some for the rest of us!😂
Good Camera Work!
Love this channel Mahalo for sharing Aloha 🌺🤙🌺
Great video Brant the Spanish were giving you great action going to have to try the dip can't go wrong with onions
Love your videos, Brant. Keep 'em coming
Appreciate it
Agree 100% on tiger sauce
Can’t wait when I go to pier in two months!
Looks great!! Thanks for the great video!!
I sprayed my steel leaders with krylon camo green paint. Solved the hitting problem. It's a flat green that vanished in Gulf water, and it knocks the shine off the leader.
awesome.God bless.
Thanks a bunch for sharing the family recipe. Caught my first king offshore this week, smoked it and made the dip. Totally delicious, especially on toasted piece of French bread!
I do love Spanish mackerel! Great recipe!
Oh I love that tile backsplash!!!
Looks amazing gotta try that out.
another awesome video. Can't wait until the grand opening weekend.
Great video, enjoyed your commentary.
Great video again Brant, really enjoy what you do with the mackerel. All the best from Guyana 👍😀
👍
awesome camera work!!!!!!!!
Takes me back to Ft Desoto pier all summer catching Spanish Macks all day every day! Can't wait to try this dip
Great video Brant! You had some awesome catching on this one. I have taken a pic of your recipe and will definitely be trying with fish smoked on my Traeger. No offense to you, but as a foodie, I would much rather have watched Melanie make this, as she explains things way better on the cook. I do love your family’s history, as I know it’s part of who we are. Awesome video!!!
Good job.. Mr
love your vids brant
My mouth was watering bro nice job 👍 hope I can do this dip soon
Man, that dip looks phenomenal! When I do a smoked fish dip similar to this, I always try to use blue corn tortilla chips. To me, they taste a bit sweeter and really compliment the smoky, savory flavor of the dip.
Pensacola beach! Hope to get to come back this year. Love it down there
If I had a dime for every Gotcha plug I've lost in the last 20 years, I'd have already built my dream bungalow somewhere in the Gulf. I've used Gotcha's in Virginia Beach, the OBX, New Smyrna beach and the Skyway Pier in St. Petersburg. When the spanish show up in March and April, it's some of the best fishing anywhere. Thanks Brant, for another fantastic video!
Can you use a wire leader for them or is it to seeable for them? Do you think a 30 lb leader would be best?
30 lb. leader is what I use. You can go 40 or 50 if you want. Wire leaders are good, but they will cut down on the number of bites.
They were catching really big Spanish at the gulf state pier last weekend, went camping and walked the pier
We need a video of you in the Mackerel fishing contest that your dad won. You need to win. No pressure!
So glad you didn’t fry them this time. Butter and Tony’s is great also, grilled on the half shell (put some aluminum foil under the fish though).
I'm totally making this with bass and perch I have from ice fishing!! Yum!!!
I have that same salt container lol
Enjoy
When my family moved to GulfBreeze,1961, my family would get to the beach early so that my mother could put her chair in the shade under the pier. I would fish the pier while she watched my brother and sister. Mother loved to fish on the old bridge in the bay. We would catch a bucket full of trout. Moved back to SC in 1963.
Got my new Ninja Dagger travel rod yesterday!!! Love the two tip sections. Going to use it this summer with the mystery tackle tournament pack from you. What the actual heck??? 😆🤣 But then in St John USVI this winter!
Remember that from the pier a cobia looks a lot like a shark. And cobia will follow big bull sharks.
Sight fishin' for Spanish mackerel is pretty cool. I've made smoked mackerel spread before with kings and Spanish lots and a couple times with cobia. If you get a chance to try it with cobia it's pretty awesome too.
I was there during spring break and I was catching tons of jacks and bull reds
Holy mackerel!
No Kings have been caught as of 4:00 p.m. today for the year on Pensacola Beach Pier however there have been several bite offs. Spanish have been good but not guaranteed. A couple of Cobia have been caught already and the Pompano's have been on fire one day and gone the next. Sheephead and Reds have had good days too.
Hey Brent, love your videos. What size mainline are you using on your rods in this video thanks brother.❤
Nice, I love that fish 🐠 what pier is that in the Gulf please let me know great job thanks and God Bless
I like to go to a 1-1.5 oz jig or kastmaster when the fishing on the pier is vertical.
Having never used liquid smoke, how much and do you sprinkle it on or what? I have no clue. Thanks for a another great video.
Your Feeling off where the fish will be is the best
Years ago they used to call the Gotcha lure the Seahawk. I always used them on the pier too.
Yes sir!
10-4 on the Tiger Sauce. Goes great on fried fish.
Yea Boy
Next time, Melanie needs to show your hands so we know what you're whipping! 😂. Great vid
Am your biggest fan bro❤️
Thank you
I was just thinking that you needed to get Melony back on the channel.
Good fishing!
That seems like a lot of strong flavored ingredients.
How's the fish taste fried in butter, salt and pepper?
I mean that was a dip. Spanish is fine by itself
Hey you ever chuck a Hopkins? I rather liked them, we referred to them as no fail.
what Lb test line when throwing the gotcha or pompano lure?
I ready to go fishing I just need to plan a day
Do you bleed or gut your mackerel as soon as you catch them?
Those Spanish Mackerels sure do bleed a lot, I guess that is why the sharks are in a frenzy. That bleeder Mackerel was probably caught by a shark soon after.
I knew you were going to make a dip.
You forgot the dill weed and the parsley, did you put cracked pepper in it? I personally would leave out the tiger sauce. I also use a little fresh minced garlic
Always gonna have sharks at that pier , but I’ve had days where the Spanish were feeding like crazy while also being eaten and fed on by the sharks
Where did you get your cap Brant?
Is that panama beach pier?
I'm surprised you didn't cut the bloodline out? WTG MEL... You were the trout Slayer, Brant, don't forget to hand over the rod to the wife when you hook up 😂
Love you guys!
What filet knife are you using
What knot did you tie at the 5 minute mark ?

You should inform people that those Spanish mackerel are great eaten raw. Like sushi, especially if you dip it in soy sauce.
